"The phenomenon of diclining visual, fuctional and environmental quality of the downtown area is common in most large cities. In relevant with the importance of preserving the downtown area as the source of a city's development, it is important to understand the processes underlying that development. The province of Bali, as a major tourist destination in Indonesia, is determined to develop tourism based on its cultue,; threfore all activities are directed to support and to improve cultural tourism. Concern for downtown areas comes into this consideration.
In Bali the PolaPempatan Agung (crossroads pattern) is a morphological type at the centre of a kingdom/puri, city or village/banjar (the Balinese smallest area or district). This tradionally implemented the ritual concept of Catus Patha. The pempatan Agung area of Tabanan exhibits this ritual concept of Catus Patha. The Pampatan Agung area of Tabanan exhibits this ritual orientation, but its sense of place is now gradually eroding."

"
ABSTRAKUrban congestion is always occured in almost large cities in developing countries for instance Bandung (Indonesia). Public transport is usually being suspected as one of the congestion's trouble maker for almost large cities in Indonesia. This is may due to delay and congestion occured resulting from overlapped routes, under-supply number of vehicles etc which causes low level of service, low journey speed, high travel time etc. All of these may result in decreasing the public transport's effectiveness, efficiency and service as well as increasing the level of traffic congestion."

The concept of yin and yang is a way of thinking of Chinese people regarding two opposing elements, but producing balance. The concept of yin and yang can be implemented in everything in everyday life, one of which is in the architecture of the temple. The Sin Tek Bio Temple is one of the oldest temples in Jakarta which was built in the late 17th century AD and has been designated as a Cultural Heritage Building. This study discusses the implementation of the yin and yang concept in the spatial layout of the Sin Tek Bio Temple building. This study uses a descriptive analysis method. The archaeological research method according to Sharer and Ashmore is used to answer the research problem. The method begins with the formulation stage, then implementation, data collection, data processing, data analysis, data interpretation, and finally research publication. The analysis was carried out on the spatial layout of the temple building. The results of the analysis show that the application of the yin and yang concept is seen in the mapping of the public and private spaces of the temple building, but is not seen in the spatial layout, relationships between spaces, and spatial organization in the temple, so that the spatial layout of the temple building does not create positive."
