Penyusunan qanun lembaga wali nanggroe yang tidak terlepas dari peran PA yang sangat dominan di Aceh, terutama di parlemen serta intervensi dari Pemerintah Pusat. Melalui metode penelitian kualitatif, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami apa yang menjadi kepentingan PA dalam qanun lembaga wali nanggroe, terutama dari sudut pandang politik. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa kepentingan PA di dalam penyusunanqanun lembaga wali nanggroe adalah membentuk lembaga wali nanggroe yang kuat dan mengamankan kursi wali nanggroe.

This thesis examines the Aceh Party?s struggle in establishing the institution of guardian of the state law (qanun lembaga wali nanggroe). The making of this law is separable with Aceh Party's dominant role in Aceh, especially in the parliament, and Central Government?s intervention. Using qualitative research methods, this study aims to determine and understand Aceh Party?s secret interests inthe institution of guardian of the state law, especially the political one. This study finds that Aceh Party?s interests in establishing the institution of guardian of the state law is making the strong institution and securing the guardian of the state position."
