"ABSTRACTSkripsi ini membahas motivasi dari wisatawan muda Jakarta untuk pergi berwisata ke Jepang. Ada lima motivasi utama yang dipilih oleh wisatawan muda Jakarta untuk pergi berwisata ke Jepang yang akan dibahas didalam skripsi ini. Skripsi ini juga membahas keterkaitan motivasi wisata dengan faktor pendorong dan penarik wisata bagi wisatawan muda Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survey berbentuk kuisioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi dari mayoritas wisatawan muda Jakarta ke Jepang yaitu bersantai dan relaksasi. Selain itu, wisatawan muda Jakarta mayoritas memilih untuk pergi wisata ke Jepang pada musim panas, karena bertepatan dengan liburan sekolah.

ABSTRACTThis thesis discusses the motivations of youth Jakarta rsquo s travelers in to go on a trip to Japan. There are five main motivation chosen by youth Jakarta rsquo s travelers to go on a trip to Japan that will be discussesed in this thesis. This thesis also discusses the relationship between the travel motivation and push and pull factors for youth Jakarta rsquo s travelers. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of survey in questionnaire form. The results of this study indicate that the motivation of the majority of youth Jakarta rsquo s travelers to Japan are recreation and relaxation. In addition, youth Jakarta rsquo stravelersmajority chose to go travel to Japan in the summer, because it coincides with the school holidays."

"Jepang merupakan salah satu daerah tujuan wisata yang menarik bagi wisatawan asing. Skripsi ini membahas motivasi yang membuat wisatawan asing datang ke Jepang. Terdapat dua puluh motivasi wisatawan asing yang akan dibahas dalam skripsi ini. Skripsi ini juga membahas karakteristik wisatawan asing dan wisatawan Jepang ketika melakukan perjalanan wisata dilihat dari jenis kelamin, usia, jenis pekerjaan, dan lamanya kunjungan ke Jepang. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian kepustakaan dengan metode deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi terbesar wisatawan asing berkunjung ke Jepang adalah melihat keindahan arsitektur tradisonal Jepang.

Japan is one of the most interesting tourist destinations for foreign tourists. This thesis analyses the motives that make foreign tourists attracted to come to Japan. There are twenty motivations of foreign tourists which will be discussed in this thesis. This thesis also analyses the characteristics of foreign tourists and Japanese travelers from the aspect of gender, age, profession, and length of visit to Japan. This study is a review of literature with descriptive-analysis method. The result of this study indicates that the biggest motivation of foreign tourists to visit Japan is to see the beauty of Japanese traditional architecture."

"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini menguji pengaruh electronic word of mouth pada attitudes, subjective norms, dan perceived behavioral control, pengaruh attitudes, subjective norms, dan perceived behavioral control pada intention to travel, serta pengaruh electronic word of mouth secara langsung pada intention to travel, dengan studi kasus pariwisata Banyuwangi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), dengan jumlah sampel 98. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa electronic word of mouth tidak berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap intention to travel, tetapi berpengaruh pada attitudes dan subjective norms yang pada akhirnya berpengaruh pada intention to travel.

ABSTRACTThis research examined the impact of electronic word of mouth on attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control, the impact of attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on intention to travel, and the impact of electronic word of mouth directly on intention to travel, with a case study of Banyuwangi tourism. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) procedure was applied for analysis, with 98 samples. The results indicate that electronic word of mouth doesn?t have a direct impact on intention to travel, but has an impact on attitudes and subjective norms. Subsequently, attitudes and subjective norms do have an impact on intention to travel.;"

"ABSTRACTHans Vervoort, penulis Belanda yang lahir di Hindia-Belanda, menulis dua cerita perjalanan mengenai Indonesia pasca repatriasinya ke Belanda, yaitu Van Onder De Koperen Ploert (1975) yang berlatar di Jawa dan Retourtje Tropen (2005) yang bercerita mengenai Jawa dan Sumatra. Dalam dua buku tersebut, pencerita Aku yang berlatar belakang kolonial dihadapkan pada perubahan objek-objek dalam ruang fisik dan sosial Indonesia pada dua periode di masa pascakolonial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan representasi Indonesia yang diwakili oleh dua pulau dalam dua cerita perjalanan tersebut. Gambaran setiap objek dalam dua buku diselisik dan disandingkan untuk melihat perubahan dan pergeseran representasi Indonesia. Selanjutnya, mengacu pada teori Orientalisme (Said, 1977), representasi ini dianalisis lebih lanjut untuk melihat narasi mengenai Indonesia sebagai Timur yang sarat dengan wacana kolonial dan poskolonial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perg eseran representasi Indonesia dari negatif ke positif namun masih menunjukkan cara pandang kolonial.

ABSTRACTHans Vervoort, a Dutch-Indies-born author, wrote two travel writings to Indonesia posterior to his repatriation to the Netherlands, which are Van Onder De Koperen Ploert (1975) that is set in Java and Retourtje Tropen (2005) that tells about the same setting with Sumatra as addition. In these two books, the I-narrator with his colonial background observes the postcolonial Indonesia, represented by the two islands, in two periods along with changes in its social and physical space. This research aims to describe the representation of Indonesia in the two travel writings. The description of significant objects is analyzed to see the changes and shifts in the representation of Indonesia. The representation then, using Orientalism theory (Said, 1977), is examined to reveal the narration of Indonesia as The Orient that indicates colonial as well as postcolonial discourses. The result shows a shift where Indonesia is represented more positively yet still in the view of colonial eyes."
