"Coresidence merupakan proses tinggal bersama yang dilakukan sebuah keluarga berbeda generasi. Proses tinggal bersama ini dilakukan adanya karena dorongan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya yaitu, Life Course Theory, personal well-being, faktor ekonomi, dan faktor demografi. Coresidence yang dibahas pada tulisan ini terbatas pada hubungan darah orang tua dengan anaknya. Dalam tinggal bersama, ada pola yang terbentuk karena adanya hubungan pertukaran antar penghuni rumah tinggal. Hubungan pertukaran antar penghuni, aktivitas sehari-hari penghuni dan faktor coresidence membentuk pengaturan ruang di rumah tinggal tiap rumah tangga berbeda. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui coresidence serta seperti apa praktinya dilakukan dan apa implikasi spasial terhadap rumah tinggal pelakunya.

Coresidence is a dwelling process done by multi-generational families. The urge to do this process is caused by several factors, such as Life Course Theory, personal well- being, economic factor, and demographic factor. Coresidence in this writing is restricted by the parent and adult children's blood relations. There are coresidence patterns created because of inhabitant exchange relationships inside the house. Exchange relationships, daily activities, and coresidence factors form space arrangements inside each coresident house different from others. The purpose of this writing is to understand coresidence and its practice as well as its spatial implication inside parent and adult children's houses."
