It assumes as background only the microeconomic portion of the introductory or first course in economics, and the mathematical requirements can, for the most part, be met by secondary school algebra. The subjects taken up in some detail are oil, gas, coal, electricity, and energy derivatives - i.e. futures, options, and swaps. There are a large number of simple exercises that are intended to build confidence, and an extensive glossary that both students and energy professionals should find useful."

ABSTRACTThis study analyzing the energy planning by projecting energy needed inthe form of region supply and demand also optimalization of new and renewableenergy in that area through local goverment roles. Industrial activity has driveneconomic growth for some people. However, there is a price to be paid in theform of environmental degradation and increasing the resource requirements andCO2 emissions. LEAP (Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning system) providea program to compile the data, creating a balance of energy, projecting ascenario and supply needs, and evaluate policy alternatives. Scenario planning isused to improve or refine the decisions to be taken at this time that would beimpact in the future. So that the projection can be used as a new reference inplanning appropriate technology implemented selection mainly in energy savingand emission reduction in the industrial area of Tangerang regency."
