"ABSTRAK
Proses produksi kukus untuk steam flooding umumnya menggunakan gas alam sebesar 1,7 Tcf/tahun. Sementara itu, proyek steamflood umumnya merupakan proyek jangka panjang dan gas alam sudah mulai langka serta harganya mahal diseluruh plosok dunia. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan penelitian skema produksi kukus alternatif untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian skema produksi dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak ASPEN HYSYS dan kemudian kualitas kukus yang diproduksi akan dievaluasi dalam penerapannya pada operasi steamflood menggunakan perangkat lunak COMSOL dan CMG. Skema pemanfaatan panas bumi mampu meningkatkan rekoveri hingga 60% dengan biaya produksi kukus yang lebih hemat 12% dengan jarak terjauh lapangan minyak dan lapangan panas bumi 30 km untuk kemungkinan penerapan skema ini. Selain itu, pada penelitian ini dilakukan tinjauan singkat untuk sistem lapangan panas bumi yang terdedikasi untuk proyek steamflood dimana terdapat 1 lapangan minyak yang 100% prosesnya menggunakan skema ini dan 1 lapangan minyak 70% prosesnya menggunakan skema ini.

ABSTRACT
The steam roduction process for steam flooding generally use natural gas at 1.7 Tcf/year. Meanwhile, steamflood project is generally a long-term project and natural gas is already scarce and expensive throughout the world. Therefore, it is necessary to find alternatives steam production process scheme to overcome these problems. Research conducted using ASPEN HYSYS to simulate steam production process and furthermore it will be evaluated in its steamflood operations application using software COMSOL and CMG. Geothermal energy utilization schemes can improve recovery by up to 60% to the cost of steam production more efficient by 12% with the furthest distance the field of oil and geothermal field 30 km to the possibility of applying this scheme. Additionally, in this study conducted a brief review of the system of geothermal field fully dedicated to steamflood projects where there are one oil field to 100% process using this scheme and one 70% oil field process using this scheme."

"Peningkatan produksi minyak bumi di Indonesia menjadi hal mendesak mengingat target produksi 1 juta barrel perhari pada tahun 2030 di tengah penurunan produksi. Permasalahan tersebut memberikan insentif untuk menelusuri metode EOR non-konvensional, biopolymer flooding. Xanthan Gum merupakan biopolimer dengan ketahanan salting effect yang sangat baik sehingga memberikan potensi digunakan bersama air laut sebagai campuran driving fluid dalam metode injeksi kontinuous. Selain itu, HCPV injeksi meningkatkan performa pemulihan jika flooding berhasil . Maka dari itu, penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan air laut sebagai fluida pendorong dan HCPV injeksi terhadap displacement sweep efficiency, recovery factor, serta harga minyak dan gas untuk IRR 15% mengikuti skema bisnis gross split. Penelitian dengan permodelan reservoir sintetik sandstone heterogen, dilanjutkan dengan permodelan EOR dengan membandingkan berbagai strategi injeksi EOR biopolymer flooding terhadap waterflooding, dan analisis ekonomi cashflow mengikuti skema bisnis gross split. Peningkatan HCPV injeksi dapat meningkatkan recovery factor hingga 22.26% dan displacement sweep efficiency 21.27%. Penggunaaan air laut sebagai campuran fluida pendorong mengurangi recovery factor hingga 0.55% dan displacement sweep efficiency 0.54%. Harga minyak minimum proyek dapat mencapai 45.75$ per barrel dengan cost of EOR sebesar 4.52$ per barrel. 

Increasing Indonesian oil production is an urgent issue due fulfilling Indonesian production target of one million barrels per day in 2030 amidst production decline. This problem gives an incentive to explore non-conventional EOR method, biopolymer flooding. Xanthan gum biopolymer is resistant toward salting effect which has the potential to be used alongside brine as driving fluid mixture in a continuous injection. Moreover, HCPV injection increases oil field’s recovery rate only if the flooding succeeds. Therefore, this research’s purpose is to analyze the usage of brine as driving fluid and HCPV Injection toward partially depleted sandstone reservoir’s displacement sweep efficiency, recovery factor and oil and gas price in reaching IRR 15% following Indonesian gross split scheme. Research methodology includes modelling of synthetic partially depleted heterogenous sandstone reservoir, continued with EOR modelling comparing different biopolymer flooding injection strategy with waterflooding, and cashflow economic analysis following gross split scheme. The increase of HCPV injection could increase recovery factor up to 22.26% dan displacement sweep efficiency up to 21.27%. The usage of sea water as mixture in driving fluid could decrease recovery factor up to 0.55% and displacement sweep efficiency 0.54%. The minimum project oil price reaches 45.75$ per barrel with the cost of EOR 4.52$ per barrel."

"Simulasi reservoir adalah proses memodelkan reservoir dengan cara  mengkombinasikan model fisika, matematika, teknik reservoir dan pemrograman komputer untuk mengembangkan suatu alat dalam hal memprediksi kinerja reservoir hidrokarbon dalam berbagai strategi operasional. Beberapa metode dikembangkan untuk simulasi reservoir salah satunya adalah metode IMPES(implicit pressure explicit saturation). Metode ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi tekanan untuk setiap gridblok dari kombinasi seluruh persamaan aliran dengan mengeliminasi saturasi. Perhitungan metode IMPES lebih sederhana dan proses iterasinya lebih cepat. Metode ini dapat dengan mudah di terapkan untuk model Black-Oil. Metode penyelesaian sistem persamaan linier diterapkan dalam bentuk aljabar matrix dilakukan dengan metode Conjugat Gradient. Prilaku reservoir diantaranya perubahan tekanan, perubahan saturasi maupun laju aliran fluida dalam sumur produksi pada interval waktu tertentu dapat diamati dengan baik melalui simulasi reservoir. Dari hasil simulasi tampak bahwa pengaruh sumur injeksi sangat bermanfaat guna mempertahankan tekanan reservoir, sehingga laju aliran fluida minyak ke dalam sumur produksi dapat dipertahankan sampai waktu tertentu.

Reservoir simulation is a process to model of the reservoir by combining the laws of physics, mathematics, reservoir engineering and computer programming to develop a tool in predicting the performance of hydrocarbon reservoirs in various of operational strategies. Several methods were developed for reservoir simulation one of them is IMPES method. The method aims to search for any gridblok pressure from a combination of the whole equation of flow by eliminating the saturation. IMPES calculation method is simpler and faster process. This method can easily be applied to the Black-Oil model. Method of settlement systems of linear equations implemented in the form of matrix algebra done Conjugat Gradient method. Reservoir behavior such as pressure change, saturation change and and rate of fluid flow in production wells at specified time intervals can be observed very well through reservoir simulation. From the simulation results it appears that the effect of the injection wells are very useful in order to maintain reservoir pressure, so that the rate of fluid flow in oil production wells can be maintained until a certain time."

"The rapidly growing demand for petroleum resources has become a crucial global problem. Therefore, a more realistic solution is required for oil production. Enhanced oil recovery (EOR) has become an essential technique to extract original oil content and maintain oil fields. During this process, certain viscous polymers are commonly used as mobility control agents. In this work, we introduce a new class of polymer to address the limitations of commercial EOR polymers. We successfully extracted kappa-type carrageenan from Eucheuma cottonii seaweed using demineralized water and ethanol precipitation. The amount of yield, intrinsic viscosity, and viscosity-average molecular mass of the extracted carrageenan were 18.64%, 12.77 dLg-1, and 4.716×105 gmol-1, respectively. Characterizations were done by dynamic viscosity and rheological measurement, along with a thermal degradation test. The measurements indicated that kappa-carrageenan is an attractive green substitute for polyacrylamide, as it showed relatively high resistance to temperature, shear rate, and salinity compared to polyacrylamide-based commercial EOR polymers. However, a higher concentration of carrageenan is still needed to reach the same viscosity as the commercial polymers."

"Tingkat produksi minyak bumi Indonesia saat ini kurang lebih sekitar 830 ribu BOPD yang akan semakin menurun apabila tidak terdapat penemuan cadangan baru atau dengan melakukan optimasi pengembangan lapangan tahap lanjut. Dari data Original Oil in Place OOIP , sisa cadangan minyak Indonesia masih memiliki unrecoverable/remaining oil in place sebesar 46,42 milyar barel. Studi Analisis Penerapan Enhanced Oil Recovery EOR Pada Lapangan ldquo;X rdquo; dilakukan untuk mendapatkan 2 dua kandidat metode EOR yang dapat diterapkan dengan melakukan screening metode EOR serta melakukan 2 dua skenario perhitungan evaluasi keekonomian berdasarkan skema Bagi Hasil Production Sharing Contract PSC dan skema Bagi Hasil Gross Split GS dengan mempertimbangkan indikator keekonomian NPV, IRR, POT, dan PI.
Hasil screening metode EOR yang dapat diterapkan pada Lapangan ldquo;X rdquo; yaitu metode injeksi polimer dan injeksi Alkaline Surfactant Polymer ASP . ASP merupakan metode EOR yang tepat untuk dapat diterapkan pada Lapangan ldquo;X rdquo; secara teknis dan keekonomian. Skema Bagi Hasil GS lebih ekonomis dengan revenue sebesar US 659,56 juta, NPV pada tingkat discount rate 10 sebesar US 10,27 juta, IRR sebesar 15,77 , POT selama 6,96 tahun serta PI sebesar 1,29. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi rekomendasi bagi Kontraktor dan Pemerintah dalam menentukan alternatif kebijakan terhadap skema bagi hasil PSC agar penerapan metode EOR dapat dilaksanakan.

Indonesian oil production is currently around 830 thousand BOPD and will decrease if there no new reserves discovery or by doing enhanced recovery optimization. From Original Oil in Place OOIP data, Indonesian remaining oil reserves still have unrecoverable remaining oil in place of 46.42 billion barrels. Study Analysis of Enhanced Oil Recovery EOR Application In Field X was conducted to obtain 2 two candidate EOR methods that can be applied by screening EOR method and performing two scenarios of economic evaluation calculation based on Production Sharing Contract PSC scheme and Gross Split GS scheme considering economic indicators NPV, IRR, POT, and PI.
Screening results of EOR methods that can be applied on Field ldquo X rdquo are Polymer injection and Alkaline Surfactant Polymer ASP injection. ASP is an appropriate EOR method to apply on Field X technically and economically. The GS Sharing Scheme is more economical with revenue of US 659.56 million, NPV at 10 discount rate of US 10.27 million, IRR of 15.77 , POT for 6.96 years and PI of 1.29. This study results are expected to be a recommendation for Contractor and Government in determining the policy alternatives to the PSC revenue sharing scheme in order to implement the EOR method.

"Pada proses pemucatan CPO(crude palm oil) menggunakan bleaching earth dilakukan dengan kadar 0,5% hingga 2% dari massa CPO. Pada tahun 2010 diperlukan bleaching earth sebesar 124.000 ton/tahun. Pada penelitian kali ini spent bleaching earth akan di ekstraksi menggunakan variasi waktu, dan perbandingan volume pelarut terhadap berat sampel, dan juga variasi pelarut (acetone, petroleum eter, N-hexane and petroleum benzene). Hasil optimasi menggunakan pelarut acetone dengan waktu 24 jam dan perbandingan pelarut 4:1 ml/mg spent bleaching earth didapat POE (percentage of oil extraction) 82,95% dan FFA (free fatty acids) 16%. Hasil terbaik di produksi menjadi biodiesel dengan reaksi esterifikasitransesterifikasi menggunakan katalis asam H2SO4 1% dan basa KOH 0,25%. Hasil yield metil ester sebesar 87% selanjutnya dianalisa dengan GC-MS.

In the bleaching process CPO (crude palm oil) using bleaching earth are conducted between 0.5% to 2% of the mass of CPO. In 2010, bleaching earth used are 124.000 tonnes/year. This work was study spent bleaching earth extraction using solvent extraction with a variation time, solvent to clay ratio, and the variation of solvent itself (acetone, petroleum eter, N-hexane and petroleum benzene). The best optimization results using acetone solvent with the 24 hours times of extraction and the solvent ratio to spent bleaching earth 4:1 ml/mg, the result is POE (percentage of oil extraction) 82,95% and FFA (free fatty acids) 16%. This residual oil converted to biodiesel by esterification-transesterification reactions, using a acid catalyst H2SO4 and base catalyst KOH 0,25% of residual oil. The results obtained with a yield of 87% metil ester and then analyzed using GC-MS."

"Dalam rangka menanggulangi turunnya produksi minyak bumi, telah dikembangkan teknologi Enhanched Oil Recovery (EOR) yaitu pengurasan tahap lanjut pada sumur minyak tua. Salah satu teknologi EOR yaitu injeksi kimia yang dapat berupa surfaktan, alkali-surfaktan, alkali-surfaktan-polimer. Penggunaan surfaktan ini dimaksudkan untuk menurunkan tegangan antar-muka (interfacial tension=IFT) antara minyak dan air sehingga mampu membawa minyak keluar dari pori-pori batuan reservoir. Surfaktan untuk EOR harus memenuhi kriteria parameter screening test yaitu compatibility test dan pengukuran IFT.
Pada penelitian ini reservoir yang dituju adalah lapangan Rantau. Surfaktan diperoleh dengan memformulasikan 25% w/w Metil Ester Sulfonat (MES), 25% w/w Surfaktan Tween dan 50% w/w berbagai pelarut (EGBE, Etanol dan EGBE-Etanol). Alkali (Na2CO3) yang ditambahkan dalam larutan surfaktan bertujuan untuk menurunkan nilai IFT. Proses formulasi dilakukan tanpa dan dengan pemanasan 40oC. Hasil formulasi surfaktan terbaik dalam penelitian ini adalah 25% MES, 25% Surfaktan Tween dan 50% EGBE yang memenuhi criteria compatibility meskipun nilai IFTnya belum tercapai. Formula surfaktan ini dilarutkan dalam brine water dengan konsentrasi 0,1%; 0,5%; 1% dan 2%. Hasil screening test terbaik adalah pada konsentrasi 0,1% yaitu nilai IFT mencapai 10-2 dyne/cm.

In order to overcome the decline of crude oil production, it has been developed Enhanched Oil Recovery (EOR) technolog, that is an recovery of depletion of old oil wells. EOR technology is one of the chemical injection which may be a surfactant, an alkaline-surfactant, alkali-surfactant-polymer. The use of surfactant is intended to reduce the interface tension (interfacial tension = IFT) between oil and water so it makes the oil out from the pores of reservoir rock. Surfactants for EOR must fulfil the criteria for a screening test parameters, there are compatibility and IFT test.
In this study, the target reservoir is Rantau field. Surfactant obtained by formulating 25% w/w Methyl Ester Sulfonate (MES), 25% w/w surfactant Tween 80 and 50% w/w various solvents (EGBE, EGBE-Ethanol and Ethanol). Alkaline (Na2CO3) was added to the surfactant solution aims to reduce the value of IFT. Formulation process carried out without and with heating 40oC. The best surfactant formulation results in this study is 25% MES, 25% Tween 80 and 50% EGBE that accomplish the criteria of compatibility, even though IFT value has not been reached. Formula surfactant is dissolved in the brine water with a concentration of 0.1%, 0.5%, 1% and 2%. The best results screening test at a concentration of 0.1% when the value of IFT reached 10-2 dyne / cm.
