With this, contemporarity might possibly be seen or measured on the basis of time frame. In China, contemporary literature is not measured merely by the most recent time and the changing literary trend in a certain period of time, it is apparently not free from the political influence of the goverment in power. Political guidance issued by the goverment in a certain period, will define the change in the literary trend in China. Uniquely, the literary trend in a certain period not merely brings out certain themes, but also followed by a great deal of literary works representing the emerging literary trend. In China, by reading a literary work, one will easily be able to detect when that kind of literary works approximately emerged, and who were the authors producing that works."

"In the Universitets-Bibliotheek (UB) Leiden there is a pile of Banten letters that are bundled in Cod.Or. 2241 Illb. The 17th (No. 80) letter is a letter from Sultan Anom to the Governour General Willem Arnold Alting and Raad van Indie in Batavia. The content of the letter, which is undated and written in Javanese hanacaraka, is an approval of Sultan given to Raad van Indie for the building of a new house in Indramayu. Based on the codicological analysis of the shape, kind of paper, seal, scripts, and the language, it can be concluded that those letters in the budle were in fact not sent form Sultan Anom of Banten but form Sultan Kanoman of Cirebon."

"The current Indonesian politics is analyzed by comparison with the situation in an episode of the Mahabarata epic, PANDHAWA DHADHU played in a leather puppet performance. They story is about the PANDHAWA who played a game, (dhadhu is a dice), while discussing about the problems of the leadership in the Kingdom. Just as there were arguments about dilemmas on ethics, there was also on how one should face political defeat and wrong, and how leaders should be responsible towards the public. Likewise, the reflection on the play is worthy information for the current and coming Indonesian state officials."

"Pariwisata budaya yang dikembangkan di Bali diatur dalam Peraturan Daerah Provinsi Bali Nomor 2, Tahun 2012 tentang Kepariwisataan Budaya Bali yang menekankan pentingnya tri hita karana dalam pengemban¬gan pariwisata di Bali. Oleh karena itu, idealnya segala aktivitas pengembangan pariwisata budaya di Bali, termasuk promosi pariwisata benar-benar menunjukkan aplikasi falsafah tri hita karana. Tujuan jangka panjang penelitian ini, terwujudnya media promosi pariwisata budaya Bali yang benar-benar mengimple¬mentasi ideologi tri hita karana. Terkait dengan tujuan ini, target khusus yang hendak dicapai adalah upaya penggambaran marginalisasi ideologi tri hita karana dalam media promosi pariwisata budaya Bali. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan dan target tersebut, berupa wawancara mendalam dan pengamatan serta penggunaan dokumen. Wawancara dilakukan dengan pihak terkait, seperti Dinas Pariwisata Provinsi Bali, Dinas Pariwisata Kota Denpasar, Kabupaten Badung, Tabanan, dan Gianyar, serta perusahaan di bidang panwisata maupun di bidang disain grafis di Bali. Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap billboard yang terkait dengan pariwisata serta dokumen berupa foto, brosur, leaflet, dan iklan tabloid yang mempromosikan panwisata dan diproduksi oleh para pihat terkait tersebut di atas. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan Based on the result of analysis bahwa yang memarginal-kan ideologi tri hita karana pada media promosi pariwisata budaya di Bali adalah ideologi kapitalisme dan ideologi dualisme kultural. Hal ini teijadi karena pembuatan media promosi pariwisata pada dasarnya bertu¬juan untuk meningkatkan jumlah wisatawan yang mengunjungi objek yang dipromosikan. Tentu saja tujuan itu berujung pada pemngkatan perolehan keuntungan atau uang. Implikasi utama media promosi pariwisata budaya Bah yang ideologi tri hita karana-nya termarginalkan pada citra Bali sebagai daerah pariwisata adalah bahwa Bali tercitrakan sebagai daerah budaya pariwisata dan bukan pariwisata budaya."
