"ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas tentang perencanaan desain jaringan FTTH di gedung fakultas di Universitas Indonesia. Fiber to the Home (FTTH) merupakan suatu format transmisi sinyal optik dari pusat penyedia (provider) ke kawasan pengguna dengan menggunakan fiber optik sebagai media penghantaran. Perkembangan teknologi ini tidak terlepas dari kemajuan perkembangan teknologi fiber optik yang dapat menggantikan penggunaan kabel konvensional. Dan juga didorong oleh keinginan untuk mendapatkan layanan yang dikenal dengan istilah layanan Triple Play Services.Universitas Indonesia yang terletak di kota Depok terdiri dari 10 fakultas dan memiliki 74 gedung. UI memiliki luas mencapai 320 hektar. Kebutuhan layanan service untuk selruh fakultas ialah 3183 port internet. Dari kebutuhan service tersebut dan denah tiap gedung maka dapat dibuat rancangan jaringan Metro FTTH di wilayah kampus.Dari hasil rancangan, didapatkan kebutuhan perangkat FTTH sejumlah 2 GPON OLT, 2 ODC port 288, 2 buah passive splitter dengan ratio 1:16, 27 ODP port 12 dan 24, serta 319 ONU. Perangkat penunjang lainnya dicantumkan pada Bill of Material yang selanjutnya dapat dibuat Bill of Quantity untuk mengetahui jumlah biaya keseluruhan yang dibutuhkan. Dari hasil analisis link power budget menunjukkan bahwa desain telah memenuhi standar dengan kualitas yang baik.

ABSTRACTThis script discusses the design planning FTTH networks in building the faculty at the University of Indonesia. Fiber to the Home (FTTH) is a format of an optical signal transmission center provider (provider) to the user by using optical fiber as a medium of delivery. Technology development is inseparable from the progressive development of fiber optic technology that can replace conventional wiring. And also motivated by the desire to obtain the services known as Triple Play Services.University of Indonesia, located in Depok city consists of 10 faculties and has 74 buildings. UI has an area reached 320 hectares. Service to service the needs of faculty selruh internet port is 3183. Of service needs and plans of each building can be designed so Metro FTTH network in the campus area.From the results, found the need for OLT GPON FTTH number 2, 2 ODC 288 port, 2 passive splitter with a ratio of 1:16, 27 ODP ports 12 and 24, and the ONU 319. Other supporting devices listed on the subsequent Bill of Materials Bill of Quantity can be made to determine the overall cost of the required amount. From the analysis of link power budget shows that the design meets the standards of good quality."
