"ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas tentang bagaimana penerjemahan narasi dari novel dan film menjadi elemen scenery pada panggung pertunjukan teater musikal. Penyampaian cerita pada teater musikal melalui dialog, lagu, dan tarian, yang dibawakan oleh aktor dibantu diceritakan melalui elemen visual yaitu scenery agar dapat dipahami oleh penonton secara utuh. Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode penerjemahan latar pada novel dan film dan pengaruhnya terhadap scenery design dalam panggung teater musikal, serta mengetahui relasi antara hasil penerjemahan dengan persepsi penonton. Dengan studi kasus yang menggunakan subjek Musikal Laskar Pelangi, ditemukan kesimpulan bahwa hasil penerjemahan scenery yang dihasilkan pada teater musikal sangat dipengaruhi oleh visual image yang telah dihasilkan oleh bentuk narasi sebelumnya. Pada proses penerjemahan, narasi dalam novel dan film menentukan aspek inti dan detail yang akan ditampilkan kembali pada bentuk scenery teater musikal. Dalam praktiknya, elemen scenery melalui elemen visual dasar dikolaborasikan dengan berbagai elemen panggung lainya untuk membentuk persepsi penonton terhadap cerita.

ABSTRACTThis paper discusses how a narrative from a novel and or film is translated into scenic design in a musical theatre show. Telling a story in musical theatre through dialogue, song, and dance, is delivered by actors and supported by visual elements including the scenic design, thus that the audience could have a richer understanding. This paper rsquo s objective is to uncover the methods used to interpret locations in a novel and or film and its implication to the scenic design in the musical theatre form. This paper is also written to know the relation between the result of the interpretation process and the audience rsquo s perception. The case study was conducted through Musikal Laskar Pelangi. The analysis shows that the scenic interpretation produced in the musical theatre form was highly affected by the visual image created by the previous narrative forms. In the adaptation process, narratives from Laskar Pelangi rsquo s novel and film provided the core and details of the scenic design in the musical theatre form. In practice, the scenic elements can be collaborated with other elements on the stage to create the audiences perception of the story."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerjemahan kata budaya dalam novel Laskar Pelangi ke bahasa Jepang, dalam novel Niji no Shoonentachi. Penelitian ini menggunakan ancangan deskriptif dengan model komparatif. Kata budaya dalam penelitian ini ditentukan berdasarkan klasifikasiyang dikemukakan oleh Newmark. Dalam penelitian ini telah dikumpulkan 186 data dari dua kategori unsur budaya saja, yaitu materi dan ekologi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik simak, artinya membaca kedua teks itu. Analisis komparatif atas data menggunakan alat kerja berupa kamus baik cetak maupun daring. Sebagai hasilnya, ditemukan terjemahan 161 kata budaya yang sepadan dan 25 tidak sepadan. Strategi yang digunakan oleh penerjemah adalah penerjemahan harfiah, kata umum, penyulihan budaya, kuplet, naturalisasi bahasa Indonesia, penghilangan, deskriptif, naturalisasi bahasa Inggris, dan kalki. Sementara itu, gaya bahasa penerjemah cenderung mengikuti gaya bahasa pengarang atau mempertahankan nilai estetis teks sumber. Dengan begitu, penerjemah menerjemahkan Laskar Pelangi berdasarkan ideologi penerjemahan pengasingan dan telah menghasilkan terjemahan yang berkualitas.

This research aims to clarify the method and technique of the translation of cultural words in ldquo Laskar Pelangi rdquo into Japanese novel, ldquo Niji no Shoonentachi. rdquo This research uses descriptive approach with comparative models. Cultural words in this study are determined based on the classification proposed by Newmark rsquo s models. In this research 186 data have been collected according to the two cultural categories, namely, material one and ecological one.

The data collection is done by comparing Japanese the target language, and Indonesian the source language. This comparative analysis of the data uses work tools such as dictionaries, both prints and online.As a result, there are 161 equivalences and 25 not equivalences found out of the 186 data in the translation.

The strategy used by the translator consists of literal translation, using general words, cultural substitution, couplet, naturalization from Indonesian, omission, descriptive, naturalization from English and calque. Meanwhile, style of a translator tends to follow that of literal expression of an author, trying to bring out the aesthetic value of the source language. Following this tendency and attitude, the translator of ldquo Laskar Pelangi rdquo has produced the quality of translation."

"ABSTRAKNovel Laskar Pelangi karya Andrea Hirata telah diterjemahkan ke dalam lebih dari tiga puluh bahasa. Dalam proses penerjemahan, istilah agama dapat menjadi kendala. Melalui metode deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan penerjemahan istilah-istilah agama dalam novel Laskar Pelangi ke dalam bahasa Inggris yang kemudian diterjemahkan lagi ke dalam bahasa Belanda. Dari hasil analisis dapat diketahui prosedur penerjemahan yang digunakan oleh penerjemah dalam menerjemahkan istilah-istilah agama tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa prosedur penerjemahan yang paling banyak digunakan dalam penerjemahan istilah-istilah agama, baik ke dalam bahasa Inggris maupun Belanda, adalah couplets, yaitu penggabungan dua prosedur penerjemahan yang berbeda.

ABSTRACTThe novel Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata has been translated into more than thirty languages. In the process of translation, religious terms can cause translation problems. By using qualitative descriptive method, this research aims to describe the translation of religious terms in the novel Laskar Pelangi into English which is then translated into Dutch. From the analysis, translation procedures used by translators in translating the religious terms can be identified. The results show that the most widely used translation procedure for translating religious terms both into English and Dutch is couplets, which combine two different translation procedures."

Penelitian ini adalahpenelitian kualitatif dengan desain analisis deskriptif. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk mengetahui teknik apa yang digunakan oleh penerjemah ketikamenerjemahkan idiom bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa sumber ke dalam bahasaKorea sebagai bahasa sasaran, serta menganalisis apakah ada kesepadanan maknadan pergeseran bentuk untuk menjaga kesepadanan maknanya. AbstractThe focus of this study is the analysis of Indonesian idiom?s translation withinLaskar Pelangi into Korean. This study is a qualitative study using analysisdeskriptive design. The purpose of this study is to know what techniques are usedby the translator when translating idioms in Indonesian as a source language intoKorean as a target language, analyze whether is there a meaning equivalence andtranslation shift to maintain it?s meaning equivalence. The result is six sourcelanguage idioms translated to target language idioms; eight source languageidioms translated no into target language idioms; four source language idiomswere not translated into target language; and two non source language idiomswere translated into target language idioms."

“Laskar Pelangi” novel by Andrea Hirata is one of novel that tell us about the struggle in education field. Through the characterizing made up by the writer, the struggle of the leading figures in facing educational world was very touching. There was no “give up” mental more over regretting their lives. They still had courage in simplicity and limitedness to get an education. This study used pragmatic approach. The aim was to figure out the struggle among the leading figures in educational field. This study used descriptive method through literature review technique. Base on the study it was found out that the struggle of the leading figures in educational field could make their lives better in the future."
