"ABSTRAKLatar belakang praktik poligami yang dilakukan saat ini berbeda dengan praktik yang dilakukan Nabi Muhammad Saw. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat fenomena pertimbangan poligami dalam novel Mahar Jingga. Dalam tokoh dan penokohan novel ini memiliki keunikan yang mempengaruhi pertimbangan tokoh Nizam dalam pengambilan keputusan. Selain itu, dalam penelitian ini terdapat proses pengambilan keputusan tokoh melalui faktor-faktor pengambilan keputusan, motif tokoh berpoligami dan membatalkannya, pertimbangan pro dan kontra poligami serta tahap-tahapnya. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa poligami sangat sulit dilakukan bagi tokoh Nizam. Hal itu terjadi karena dalam berpoligami terdapat pertimbangan dan syarat yang sulit bagi tokoh Nizam sehingga ia memutuskan untuk membatalkan niatnya berpoligami.

ABSTRACTThe background of polygamy practice today has been difference with The Prophet Muhammad rsquo s. This research aims to look at the phenomenon of polygamy consideration through a novel entitled Mahar Jingga. The characterizations of the characters have their own uniqueness that influence Nizam in making decision. In addition, there rsquo s also saw the process of decision making through the factors of decision making, the motive behind Nizam doing polygamy and cancel it, pros and cons of polygamy consideration, and also the stages of decision making which have been doing by Nizam in this research. The result of this resource is to prove the readers that polygamy is a hard thing to do for Nizam. It happened because polygamy has a lot thing to be considered and a difficult condition to do, so that it made Nizam to decide to abandoned his intention to polygamy."

"ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas mengenai gerakan mahasiswa yang diangkat sebagai temadalam novel Bulan Jingga dalam Kepala. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalampenelitian ini adalah kritik new historicism. Skripsi ini akan menjawab enampertanyaan yang menjadi dasar dari kritik new historicism dalam pandanganStephen Greenbalt. Dengan metode kritik tersebut, dapat terlihat hubungan salingmemengaruhi dan dipengaruhi antara novel dengan waktu, tempat, danmasyarakat yang melingkupinya. ABSTRACTThis mini thesis discusses about student movement which was appointed as thethemes in the novel “Bulan Jingga dalam Kepala”. The approach that used in thisresearched was new historicism. "Roman Maria (Машенька) merupakan karya perdana dari penulis fenomenal Vadimir Nabokov yang ia tulis ketika ia menjalani kehidupannya sebagai émigré sehingga sarat akan nuansa kehidupan kaum émigré (emigran) yang menjalani kehidupan di luar Rusia. Kemudian melalui tokoh Maria, Vladimir Nabokov merepresentasikan nostalgia terhadap negara Rusia di mata dirinya sebagai émigré. Artikel ini berusaha menjawab pertanyaan mengenai bagaimana dilema patriotisme seorang emigran direpresentasikan dalam roman Maria (Машенька). Melalui teori strukturalisme genetik yang mengaitkannya dengan patriotisme untuk dapat menemukan makna yang direpresentasikan melalui tokoh Maria dalam roman Maria (Машенька) yang merupakan bentuk dari nostalgia Rusia oleh émigré.

Mary (Машенька) is the premier literature work by the phenomenal writer Vladimir Nabokov. The roman is written during his time as an emigree so it`s filled with nuance of an emigre living outside of Russia. With the character Mary, Nabokov represent the nostalgia of Russia through his eyes as an emigre. This article is trying to answer how the patriotism dilemma of an emigre is represented through the roman Mary (Машенька). Through the genetic structuralism theory which connected to the patriotism to find the meaning which being represented through the character Mary in the roman Mary (Машенька) which is a nostalgic expression of Russia through the eyes of an émigré."

"Dowry (mahr) is someting precious or valuable to be fulfilled by a husband to his wife at the time of marriage. The dowry may be named at the time of the marriage contract, called a musamma dowry, or may not be named at the time of the marriage contract, called a musamma dowry, or may onot be named, called mitsl dowry (equivalent). This later dowry can be equited to the dowry of the nearest relatives, ranging from mother, sisters, sisters from the some father, aunt (mother;s younger sister), the daughters of a sister. If there are no close relatives who could akin, the dowry is equated with that of the nearest neighbours according to the custom prevailing in the area and the social status of women. Giving dowry in Islamic law does not become one of the requirements and pillars of marriage, but a husband is obliged to give dowry upon marriage."

"Poligami merupakan perkawinan yang masih menjadi perdebatan di Indonesia. Perkawinan ini dapat menimbulkan ketidakadilan terhadap salah satu pihak. Perempuan yang mengalami poligami akan mengalami beban ganda karena harus mengerjakan tugas domestik dan tugas publik. Oleh karena itu, poligami dapat  berdampak negatif bagi perempuan dan anak-anak. Dalam analisis akan membahas dampak poligami dan beban ganda dalam Novel Athirah karya Alberthiene Endah. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan teori intrinsik untuk melihat tokoh dan penokohan, serta teori ekstrinsik dalam sastra untuk melihat latar budaya yang terdapat dalam Novel Athirah. Latar budaya tersebut akan dilihat kaitannya dengan sikap tokoh Athirah dalam menghadapi poligami. Sikap tersebut dipengaruhi oleh adanya budaya patriarki dan lingkungan budaya Bugis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menggambarkan poligami dan dampaknya yang terdapat dalam Novel Athirah karya Alberthiene Endah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa poligami dan beban ganda memiliki dampak positif dan negatif bagi perempuan dan anak-anak yang mengalaminya.Polygamy is a marriage that is still debated in Indonesia. This marriage can caused injustice to one partner. Polygamous women will enduring the double burden of having to do domestic work and public work. Therefore, polygamy can have a negative impact on women and children. This analysis will discuss the impact of polygamy and the double burden in Athirah by Alberthiene Endah. This research will use intrinsic theory to see characters and characterizations, also extrinsic theory in literature to see the cultural background in Athirah. The cultural background will be seen in relation with the Athirah`s attitude in facing polygamy. This attitude is influenced by the existence of patriarchal culture and the Bugis cultural environment. The purpose of this research is describe polygamy and its effects in Athirah by Alberthiene Endah. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method using a literary approach. The results showed that polygamy and double burdens caused positive and negative impacts on women and children who experienced them."
