"ABSTRAK
Jakarta yang telah didukung oleh teknologi big data. Peran teknologi big data bagi perkembangan smart city sangat penting karena dapat menjadi dasar untuk menyusun perencanaan dan menentukan kebijakan pemerintah daerah. Pada tesis ini dibahas mengenai analisis implementasi teknologi big data di Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta dengan menggunakan metode gap analysis pada data-data hasil in-depth interview dan data pendukung lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil gap analysis diketahui bahwa implementasi
teknologi big data di Jakarta Smart City masih memerlukan perbaikan dan pengembangan karena masih adanya kesenjangan pada elemen-elemen penelitian yaitu data, infrastruktur, pengelolaan, sumber daya manusia dan manfaat. Pada penelitian ini selanjutnya dirumuskan usulan perbaikan terhadap kesenjangan yang ditemukan dan menyusun urutan prioritas perbaikan dengan menggunakan metode capability, accessibility, readiness dan leverage (CARL).

ABSTRACT
The Jakarta Smart City Unit is a work unit of the Jakarta Provincial Government in Indonesia with the main duty and function of implementing smart city, one of its
efforts using big data technology. The role of big data technology in the development of smart city is very important, because it can be the basis of the steps in determining the policies of the local government. This study discusses and analyses the implementation of big data technology in the Provincial Government of Jakarta by using gap analysis tool based on in-depth interview data and other supporting data. Based on the results of the gap analysis, it is known that the use of big data technology in Jakarta Smart City still needs improvement and development because there are still gaps in the research elements, namely data, infrastructure, governance, human resources and benefit. In this study the proposed improvements to the gaps that were found and formulated the priority order of improvement using the method of Capability, Accessibility, Readiness,
and Leverage CARL."

"The advancement of science and technology plays an important role in enhancing the international competitiveness of a nation. One of the indicators for measuring the advancement in science and technology of a nation is the amount of research that is published in international journals. In order to improve the quantity and quality of research publications, research themes mapping of published studies is required. By conducting research themes mapping, the research road map for future research can be developed effectively. In this study, Indonesian scholars’ publications, which are indexed in Scopus during the last five years (2010-2014), were analyzed by applying co-word analysis. Co-word analysis, which is part of text mining, is applied to find the interrelationship among research themes in a big corpus of data. As a result, there are fifteen main research themes in Indonesia as on Quadrant I and IV of strategic diagram."

"Time series big data dynamically changes the size, and, unfortunately, it may be difficult to curate the enormous amount of data due to the processing capacity and storage size. This big data allows researcher to iterate on the model millions of times over. To execute a regression on several billion rows of data on a distributed network, the resource capacity regarding large volumes of data and its distributed environment must be considered. Algorithms must be real-time based data awareness. Moreover, analyzing big data sources requires the data to be pre-processed rather than immediately collected and analyzed. This pre-processing approach for the big data sources helps minimize the amount of collected data by extracting insights. It analyzes big data quicker and is cost-effective for storage space. Hence, in this research, an approximation method for analyzing regression problems in a big data stream with parallelism is proposed. The partitioning method for huge data stream helps reduce the computing time and required space, and the speed-up can improve the processing time. The performance evaluation of concurrent regression model is first executed by massive online analysis (MOA) simulation. Then, to validate the approximation method, the results performed by our proposed method are compared to those results collected from the simulation. The comparisons show evenly between the two methods."

"ABSTRAK
Trafik data saat ini terus bertumbuh secara eksponensial, yang didorong dengan makin berkembangnya data nirkabel wireless data dan penggunaan smartphone yang terus bertumbuh. Untuk mendukung perkembangan pemakaian trafik data, semua operator terus mengembangkan jaringan 4G LTE . XL Axiata sebagai salah satu operator besar di Indonesia telah secara resmi mengkomersialkan layanan internet cepat 4G LTE secara nasional di Indonesia.Sejak layanan LTE diluncurkan, masih banyak pelanggan yang belum beralih menggunakan layanan LTE, meskipun handset sudah memiliki kemampuan 4G LTE . Di jaringan XL Axiata, handset 4G yang pernah berada di jaringan 4G LTE kurang dari 30 . Sisanya tidak pernah berada di jaringan 4G, atau hanya berada di jaringan 2G dan 3G saja.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis implementasi Big Data di XL Axiata dengan membandingkan biaya investasi yang dikeluarkan untuk implementasi Big Data dengan peningkatan trafik dan revenue yang didapat dengan berpindahnya pelanggan dengan handset 4G yang sebelumnya tidak pernah berada di jaringan 4G hanya di jaringan 2G dan 3G ke jaringan 4G. Analisis meliputi analisis teknis, ekonomi dan bisnis. Analisis dilakukan di 6 kota besar di Indonesia: Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya dan Denpasar selama 8 bulan Mei ndash; Desember 2016 . Dari hasil perhitungan, kenaikan trafik yang didapat di 6 kota tersebut rata-rata adalah sebesar 16.17 .
ABSTRACT
The current data traffic continues to grow exponentially, driven by the growing wireless data and the use of smartphones. To support the development of data traffic consumption, all the operators continue to develop a 4G network LTE . XL Axiata as one of the major operators in Indonesia has formally commercialize fast Internet service 4G LTE in Indonesia.Since the launch of LTE services, there are still many customers who have not switched to use LTE services, although the handset has the capability of 4G LTE . In XL Axiata network, only less than 30 of handset 4G that has been connected in 4G network, the rest are never connected to 4G network, or just in 2G or 3G networks only.The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of Big Data in XL Axiata by comparing the investment cost incurred for Big Data implementation with increasing traffic and revenue gained by switching customers with 4G handset which previously never been on 4G network only in 2G and 3G networks to a 4G network. The analysis includes technical, economic and business analysis. The analysis was conducted in 6 major cities in Indonesia Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Denpasar for 8 months May December 2016 . From the calculation, the increase of traffic obtained in 6 cities is an average of 16.17 ."

"Kemajuan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK) suatu bangsa berperan penting dalam meningkatkan daya saing internasional bangsa tersebut. Salah satu indikator kemajuan IPTEK suatu bangsa adalah jumlah penelitian yang terpublikasi di database internasional. Jumlah penelitian yang terpublikasi internasional di Indonesia masih tertinggal dari negara-negara ASEAN lainnya. Untuk meningkatkan jumlah penelitian perlu diketahui fokus penelitian di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis fokus penelitian di Indonesia dengan memetakan penelitian yang berasal dari universitas dan lembaga penelitian yang terindeks oleh database scopus selama 5 tahun terakhir menggunakan metode content analysis dengan teknik co-word analysis. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah peta tema penelitian yang menunjukkan tema unggulan setiap tahun dan tren perkembangan tema penelitian dari tahun ke tahun.

The advancement of Science and Technology of a nation plays an important role in enhancing the international competitiveness of the nation. One indicator that used to quantify the progress of science and technology in a nation is the amount of research that is published in international database. The number of Indonesian research published in international database is still lags behind other ASEAN countries. In order to increase the number of research, Indonesia need to find the focus of research. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze the focus direction of research in Indonesia to map the research from universities and research institutes that are indexed by Scopus database during the last five years using content analysis method with co-word analysis technique. This study generate maps that show the main research themes each year and the trend of research development from the last five years."
