"ABSTRACT
As a nation that have many beautiful holiday destinations, Tourism has made Indonesia popular for years. Star hotels as one of the tourism backbone has taken partas important component along tourist stays in the area. On this research star hotels in Indonesia are analyzed based on Business Innovation, Brand Image, Perceived Quality, and Brand Loyalty. This research limited to respondents that lives in JABODETABEK area. Results show positive relationships between variables meaning that Business innovation able to shape customer based brand equity inpositive terms.

ABSTRAK
Sebagai sebuah negara yang memiliki destinasi liburan yang indah, turisme telah membuat Indonesia menjadi populer beberapa tahun ini. Hotel berbintang sebagai salah satu tulang punggung turisme di Indonesia juga turut ambil bagian dalam komponen penting dalam menunjang liburan turis di suatu area. Dalam penelitian ini,hotel berbintang di Indonesia akan dianalisa berdasarkan Business Innovation, Brand Image, Perceived Quality, dan Brand Loyalty. Penelitian ini terbatas hanya untuk responden yang tinggal di area JABODETABEK. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan hubungan positif yang berarti Business Innovation mampu membentuk customer based brand equity dalam istilah positif."

"Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh ekuitas merek berbasis pelanggan seperti loyalitas merek, kesadaran merek, persepsi kualitas dan citra merek terhadap sikap merek dan niat beli konsumen terhadap hotel mewah di Jakarta. Penelitian ini mengumpulkan 213 responden yang tinggal di sekitar wilayah JABODETABEK untuk mengisi kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa loyalitas merek, persepsi kualitas tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap sikap merek konsumen. Di sisi lain, kesadaran merek dan citra merek secara positif mempengaruhi sikap merek terhadap hotel mewah. Selain itu, seluruh dimensi model CBBE tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap niat beli konsumen terhadap hotel mewah di Jakarta. Dalam penelitian ini, sikap merek juga tidak memediasi pengaruh antara dimensi-dimensi CBBE dan niat pembelian konsumen sedangkan kinerja merek sebagai moderasi mempengaruhi hubungan antara sikap merek dan niat pembelian konsumen. Penelitian ini menerapkan teori CBBE di hotel-hotel mewah di Jakarta untuk mengetahui perbedaan reaksi konsumen di negara berkembang seperti Indonesia dengan menganalisis pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung dari masing-masing dimensi CBBE terhadap sikap merek dan niat membeli.

This research examines the effect of customer based brand equity such as brand loyalty, brand awareness, perceived quality and brand image toward brand attitude and consumer purchase intention toward luxury hotels in Jakarta. This study collected 213 respondents who live around the JABODETABEK to fill the questionnaire. The research shows that brand loyalty and perceived quality do not have positive effect on consumer brand attitude. On the other hand, brand awareness and brand image positively influence the brand attitude toward luxury hotels. In addition, the whole dimensions of CBBE model do not positively affect the consumer 39 s purchase intention toward luxury hotels in Jakarta. In this research, brand attitude does not mediate the effect of the CBBE dimensions and consumer purchase intention while brand performance as moderation affects the relationship between brand attitude and consumer purchase intention. This research applied the CBBE theory in luxury hotels in Jakarta to know the different reaction of the consumers in the developing country such as Indonesia by analyzing the direct and indirect effect of each CBBE dimension on brand attitude and purchase intention."

"Skripsi ini menganalisis unsur-unsur yang mempengaruhi ekuitas merek berbasis konsumen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi unsur ekuitas merek berbasis konsumen pada Telkomsel operator jaringan seluler di Jakarta. Elemen faktor yang diteliti adalah Kesadaran Merek, Asosiasi Merek, Persepsi Kualitas, Kepercayaan terhadap Merek, dan Loyalitas terhadap Merek.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode Nonprobability sampling, wilayah penelitian di Jakarta. Teknik dari pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner, data yang diperoleh dari 110 responden, diolah dengan menggunakan SPPS 17,0 menggunakan metode Pearson Corellation, Cochran, Uji Asumsi Klasik, dan Regresi Berganda.
Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Kesadaran Merek, Loyalitas terhadap Merek dan Kercayaan terhadap Merek memilik dampak yang positif dalam Ekuitas Merek Berbasis Konsumen pada Telkomsel, sedangkan Asosiasi Merek dan Persepsi Kualitas tidak mempengaruhi secara positif dalam Ekuitas Merek Berbasis Konsumen pada Telkomsel.

This essay analyzes the elements that affect the consumer-based brand equity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that affect the elements of consumer-based brand equity on the mobile network operator Telkomsel in Jakarta. Factor elements that researched are Brand Awareness, Brand Association, Perceived Quality, Brand Trust, and Brand Loyalty.
This research uses research methods descriptive with technique sampling using method Non-probability sampling, territory research in Jakarta. Technique of data collection is done through the deployment questionnaires, the data obtained from the 110 respondents, processed with using the SPPS 17.0 using method Pearson Correlation, Cochran, Test Assumptions Classical, and Multiple Regression.
From the results of this study concluded that Brand Awareness, Brand Loyalty and Brand Trust in a positive effect on Consumer-Based Brand Equity on Telkomsel, while the Brand Association and Perceived Quality does not affect positively the Consumer-Based Brand Equity.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari hubungan politik dan kepemilikan keluarga terhadap biaya utang dan biaya ekuitas perusahaan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 66 perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia untuk periode 2008-2011 dengan total observasi 264. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa hubungan politik memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap biaya utang namun tidak terhadap biaya ekuitas. Kepemilikan keluarga dalam perusahaan tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap biaya utang dan biaya ekuitas perusahaan. Hubungan politik yang dimiliki oleh perusahaan dengan struktur kepemilikan keluarga terbukti dapat menekan pengaruh positif kepemilikan keluarga terhadap biaya utang, namun hubungan politik yang dimiliki perusahaan dengan kepemilikan keluarga tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap biaya ekuitas perusahaan.

This study aims to examine the effect of political connection and family ownership on cost of debt and cost of equity. The samples of this study are 66 manufacturing firms listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange for period 2008-2011 with total observations of 264. The result of this study shows that political connection has significant positive effect on cost of debt but no significant effect on cost of equity. Family-owned firm has no significant effect on both cost of debt and cost of equity. This study also found that political connection owned by a family owned firms could minimize its significant positive effect on cost of debt, but has no significant effect on cost of equity."

"ABSTRAK
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis mengenai pengaruh kualitas akrual terhadap biaya utang dan biaya ekuitas. Pada penelitian ini juga dianalisis perbedaan pengaruh antara kualitas akrual innate dan kualitas akrual diskresioner terhadap biaya utang dan biaya ekuitas. Total observasi penelitian ini adalah 1 110 firm years pada tahun 2005-2011. Kualitas akrual dalam penelitian ini diukur dengan menggunakan model Francis et al. (2005). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas akrual baik kualitas akrual innate dan kualitas akrual diskresioner hanya berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap biaya ekuitas. Hasil penelitian lainnya yaitu kualitas akrual innate berpengaruh lebih besar dibandingkan kualitas akrual diskresioner hanya terhadap biaya ekuitas. Hal ini mungkin dikarenakan sebagian besar sumber modal berupa utang pada perusahaan berasal dari private debt dibandingkan public debt.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of accruals quality on cost of debt and cost of equity. Accruals quality is divided into two component which are innate accruals quality and discretionary accruals quality. This research also distinguish the effect of both of accruals quality components on cost of debt and cost of equity. Total observations in this research are 1.110 firm-years from 2005-2011. Accruals quality is measured using accruals quality model from Francis et al. (2005). The result show that the accruals quality which is not only innate accruals quality but also discretionary accruals quality only impact to cost of equity. The other result is the effect of innate accruals quality is higher than discretionary accruals quality only on cost of equity. This finding maybe due to firms have higher proportion of private debt than public debt."

"ABSTRAK
Inovasi telah lama diakui sebagai sumber penting bagi pencapaian
keunggulan daya saing. Namun dalam industri asuransi terdapat perbedaan
pandangan terhadap konsep ini; beberapa pelaku industri telah menyadari
pentingnya inovasi sebagai sumber untuk mencapai pertumbuhan dan daya saing,
sementara sebagian lagi lebih memilih imitasi sebagai sumber untuk mencapai
keunggulan biaya rendah. Dalam upaya meneliti isu inovasi dalam industri
asuransi, studi ini memperluas studi Liao, Fei, dan Chen (2007) tentang hubungan
antara knowledge sharing dan kapasitas absorptif dan pengaruh positifnya
terhadap kapabilitas inovasi, dengan memasukkan faktor-faktor penghambat
inovasi ke dalam kerangka studinya; dan meneliti pengaruh positif kapabilitas
inovasi terhadap kinerja perusahaan (e.g.: Garcia-Morales, Llorens-Montes, &
Verdu-Jover, 2008).
Melalui analisis atas data riset dari 212 strategic business unit dari 64
perusahaan asuransi yang beroperasi di Indonesia, studi ini menemukan bahwa
faktor hambatan-inovasi berpengaruh negatif pada kapabilitas inovasi namun
hubungan sinergis antara knowledge sharing dan kapasitas absorptif dapat
mengeliminasi atau meminimalisasi pengaruh negatif tersebut. Studi ini juga
menemukan bahwa faktor-faktor hambatan-inovasi memiliki akarnya di luar
perusahaan namun harus ditangani dengan menggunakan sumber daya
pengetahuan internal. Temuan ini menimbulkan pertanyaan mengenai kebutuhan
untuk mengkaji ulang konsep manajemen pengetahuan dan knowledge sharing
agar tidak berfokus hanya pada pengetahuan internal tetapi perlu diperluas dengan
pengetahuan eksternal.
Studi ini menyarankan kepada pelaku industri asuransi di Indonesia untuk
segera meninggalkan strategi ?blind imitation? dan meningkatkan basis
pengetahuan melalui manajemen pengetahuan yang terintegrasi antara
pengetahuan internal dan pengetahuan eksternal; dan kepada regulator asuransi
agar memberikan arahan yang lebih tegas mengenai penggunaan dana pendidikan
dan latihan perusahaan asuransi pada pengetahuan state-of-the-art untuk tujuan
inovasi dalam upaya meningkatkan keunggulan daya saing perusahaanperusahaan
asuransi Indonesia di dalam negeri maupun di pasar regional atau
internasional;

ABSTRACT
Innovation has long been considered important source of competitive
advantage. However, in insurance industry innovation receives conflicting views
from the players; either as a critical source of growth and competitiveness, or
costly undertaking as opposed to low cost imitation. In investigating this issue,
this research extends the study of Liao, Fei, and Chen (2007) on the relationship
between knowledge sharing and absorptive capacity and its effect on innovation
capability, by incorporating innovation barriers into the framework; and the
influence of innovation capability on firm performance (e.g.: Garcia-Morales,
Llorens-Montes, & Verdu-Jover, 2008).
Research in this study, conducted on 212 strategic business units of 64
insurance companies in Indonesia, found that innovation barriers had negative
impact on innovation capability but the synergic relationship between knowledge
sharing and absorptive capacity could reduce such a negative influence. This
study also found that innovation barriers have their roots outside organization but
have to be dealt with by developing and enforcing internal knowledge sharing of
resources. The findings prompt a question of rethinking knowledge management
to not only focus on internal knowledge sharing but to include external knowledge
sharing in an integrated system.
This study recommends the Indonesian insurance industry to immediately
leave the 'blind imitation' strategy and enhance their knowledge base through an
integrated knowledge management between internal knowledge and external
knowledge; and the insurance regulators to provide more explicit direction
regarding the use of funds for insurance company?s education and training on
state-of-the-art knowledge for innovation purpose, in order to increase
competitive advantage of Indonesian insurance companies in domestic market as
well as in regional or international markets;Innovation has long been considered important source of competitive

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari corporate governance terhadap biaya ekuitas dan biaya utang perusahaan. Unsur corporate governance yang digunakan adalah corporate governance index, kepemilikan keluarga, dan kepemilikan institusional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 71 perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia untuk periode 2008-2010. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa kualitas corporate governance yang diukur dengan corporate governance index berpengaruh signifikan negatif terhadap biaya ekuitas dan biaya utang perusahaan. Kepemilikan keluarga ditemukan berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap biaya ekuitas, namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap biaya utang. Kepemilikan institusional tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap biaya ekuitas, namun berpengaruh signifikan negatif terhadap biaya utang.

The focus of this study is about the influence of the individual characteristics of physician and the officer who responsible to return medical record (post care officer) against quality of inpatient medical record document at Rumah Sakit Haji Jakarta 2011. The purpose of this study is to know how individual characteristics of physician and officer give an effect to the quality of medical record which are managed by them. This research is descriptive quantitative using cross sectional study. Based on the result, medical record which good quality is less quantity than not good quality. In Addition, there is not different proportion that significant between individual characteristic physicians and return medical record officer (post care) against the quality of inpatient medical record. The researcher suggest that need to do the next research againts non-individual characteristics variable such as organizational and psychological variable which are based on theory, that variables are have direct effect to influence the quality of work."

"Tesis ini membahas pengaruh political connections terhadap cost of equity dengan menggunakan analisis regresi data panel model pooled least square. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 141 data observasi periode 2005, 2008 dan 2011. Cost of equity diukur dengan menggunakan pendekatan CAPM dengan modifikasi beta Dimson. Sedangkan political connections menggunakan variabel dummy yaitu nilai 1 jika perusahaan teridentifikasi memiliki political connections dan nilai 0 jika teridentifikasi tidak memiliki political connections. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa political connections terbukti memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap cost of equity yang berarti bahwa perusahaan harus menanggung cost of equity yang lebih tinggi atas political connections yang dimilikinya.

This thesis discusses influence of political connections on the cost of equity using panel data regression analysis with pooled least square model. 141 samples were used as observation data period 2005, 2008 and 2011. Cost of equity measured using the CAPM approach with Dimson beta modification. While political connections using a dummy variable, given 1 if company have political connections identified, and 0 if it does not have political connections identified. The results show that political connections have proven significant positive effect on the cost of equity, which means that the company must bear higher cost of equity for the company`s political connections."

The purpose of this study was to find out how marketing activities using social media affect brand equity and male customer responses to watch brands in Indonesia. This
study shows that customization, entertainment and interaction are the strongest factors that influence brand equity and male customer responses to watch brands in Indonesia. The sample used as the research material was as many as 368 respondents spread throughout Indonesia and showed that there was a positive influence between marketing activities using social media on brand equity and male customer responses to watch brands in Indonesia.

"Terdapat paradoks dalam inovasi terbuka berbasis platform di mana startup Multi-Sided Platform (MSP) digital dengan kapasitas kreasi awal yang rendah mampu menerapkan strategi inovasi terbuka yang umumnya membutuhkan tingkat tinggi kemampuan kreasi bersama. Penelitian ini mengatasi kesenjangan ini dengan secara teoritis mengembangkan hubungan antara logika yang efektif - tindakan kewirausahaan yang berurusan dengan seperangkat sarana sebagaimana diberikan dan berfokus pada pemilihan antara efek yang mungkin dapat dibuat dengan seperangkat sarana - dan proses inovasi terbuka dengan kapasitas penciptaan sebagai prasyarat untuk berkontribusi pada startup multi-sisi Platform digital (MSP) digital. Dalam hal ini, penelitian ini menguji proses inovasi terbuka berbasis platform di bawah kendala sumber daya, pengetahuan terbatas, dan ketidakpastian.
Temuan penelitian kuantitatif dari 70 startup MSP digital menunjukkan jalur terpendek untuk startup MSP digital untuk menghasilkan Innovation Performance dimulai dari mengembangkan Effectual Logic, kemudian Integrative Capabilities dan Co-Creation Capacities, dan Innovation Performance sesudahnya. Namun, dalam jalur terpendek ini, Crowds or Communities Management Practice juga memiliki peran dalam memediasi sebagian hubungan antara Effectual Logic dan Integrative Capabilities. Inovasi berbasis platform menjadi titik pengintegrasian teori effectuation dari riset kewirausahaan dan strategi inovasi terbuka dari riset manajemen strategis. Jembatan untuk kedua bidang ini menunjukkan implikasi untuk penelitian inovasi berbasis platform dalam kewirausahaan strategis.

There is a paradox in platform-based open innovation where the digital Multi-Sided Platform (MSP) startups with low initial co-creation capacity is able to implement open innovation strategy that commonly needs a high level of co-creation capacity. This research address this gap by the theoretically develop the relationship between effectual logic - entrepreneurial action that deal with a set of means as given and focuses on selecting between possible effects that can be created with that set of means - and open innovation process with co-creation capacity as its pre-condition to contribute to digital Multi-Sided Platform (MSP) startups significant growth. In this case, this research examine the platform-based open innovation process under resource constraint, limited knowledge, and uncertainty.
The quantitative research findings from 70 digital MSP startups show the shortest path for digital MSP startups to produce Innovation Performance is starting from develop Effectual Logic, then Integrative Capabilities and Co-Creation Capacity, and Innovation Performance afterwards. However, in this shortest path, Crowds or Communities Management Practices also have roles in partially mediating the relationship between Effectual Logic and Integrative Capabilities. Platform-based innovation becomes the integrating point of effectuation theory from entrepreneurship research and open innovation strategy from strategic management research. The bridge for these two areas suggests implications for platform-based innovation research in strategic entrepreneurship.
