"Sustainable finance is a holistic approach to the sustainability development goals (SDG), so that the interdependence between environmental, social, and governance issues is unveiled. Sustainable finance takes into account the various challenges following from social change and sustainability, the evolution of capital markets, and the development of efficient risk management practices. Governance issues are an integral part of sustainable finance. However, academic literature has generally neglected to consider strategies to prevent and fight financial crimes as a crucial component of sustainable finance. The aim of this book is to focus on the interconnectedness between sustainable finance and preventing/fighting financial crime, not only as a crucial governance issue, but also as a deep challenge for social and even environmental issues. There is no really sustainable finance without developing strong and efficient means to fight financial crimes."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai pentingnya lembaga pengawas keuangan yang sedang berkembang di berbagai negara. Di Indonesia sendiri kebutuhan ini tercermin setelah akhirnya diberlakukannya Undang-Undang No. 11 Tahun 2012 Tentang Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK). Melihat kebutuhan tersebut, pada penulisan ini nantinya akan digambarkan model lembaga pengawas keuangan seperti apa yang berkembang, kemudian dipaparkan juga contoh pelaksaanaan sistem demikian pada negara yang berhasil menerapkan sistem ini seperti Jepang dan negara yang gagal menerapkan sistem ini seperti Inggris. Terakhir, akan diberikan gambaran implikasi berlakunya undang-undang Otoritas Jasa Keuangan terhadap lembaga pengawas sebelumnya yaitu Badan Pengawas Pasar Modal dan Lembaga Keuangan (Bapepam-LK) terutama pada masa transisi saat ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Kepustakaan, yang bersifat yuridis normatif, artinya mengacu kepada norma hukum yang terdapat di dalam peraturan perundang-undangan serta kebiasaankebiasaan yang berlaku di masyarakat. Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa urgensi lembaga pengawas keuangan terbesar adalah kebutuhan pengawasan keuangan bersifat universal yang dilatarbelakangi berbagai kegagalan lembaga pengawas institusional sebelumnya. Kesimpulan implikasi hukum terbesar berdirinya OJK terhadap Bapepam-LK adalah penghilangan kewenangan Bapepam-LK.

This research was conducted to find the description about the importance of financial services authority which nowadays is being developed in many countries. In Indonesia, these needs are seen since the enactment of Indonesian Law No. 11/2011 about Financial Services Authority (OJK). Based on those needs, later in this research the models of the developing financial services authority and the example of this system in a failed country such as United Kingdom and a success country such as Japan will be described. Finally, there will be some descriptions about the implications of the application of Financial Services Authority regulation against the authority institution before it named Authority of the Capital Market Supervisory Board & Financial Institutions Supervisory Board (Bapepam-LK), especially in the transition period in these days.

The research method is Legal research library with a normative juridical approach method, based on legal norm in regulations and society behavior. The author concluded that the biggest urgency for the financial services authority is the need of a universal supervisor which is caused by the failure of many authority institutions before. Another conclusion is that the biggest impact of OJK establihment toward Bapepam-LK is the omition of Bapepam-LK?s authority."
