"Sanksi dari dunia internasional menjadi salah satu ancaman bagi stabilitas politik suatu negara, sehingga dapat memberikan dampak negatif terhadap legitimasi suatu rezim pemerintahan. Ancaman terhadap stabilitas rezim juga terjadi di Rusia khususnya pasca terjadinya aneksasi Krimea dan invasi Ukraina pada tahun 2014 dan 2022. Kedua invasi ini menyebabkan dunia internasional menjatuhkan sanksi terhadap Rusia yang menargetkan sektor-sektor seperti energi, perbankan, dan industri teknologi militer, sehingga berdampak terhadap performa perekonomiannya. Dampaknya Rusia mengalami krisis ekonomi, sehingga menimbulkan protes dari sebagian masyarakat, termasuk melakukan emigrasi dari negeri tersebut, terutama setelah kebijakan mobilisasi militer terbatas. Akan tetapi situasi politik domestik Rusia cenderung stabil setelah dua gelombang sanksi internasional tersebut. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, tugas akhir ini mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi stabilitas politik Rusia di bawah kepemimpinan Presiden Vladimir Putin setelah dijatuhkannya sanksi dunia internasional pasca aneksasi Krimea dan invasi Ukraina pada tahun 2014 dan 2022.

Sanctions from the international community can threaten the political stability of a country and have a negative impact on the legitimacy of a government regime. Threats to regime stability have also occurred in Russia, particularly after the annexation of Crimea and the invasion of Ukraine in 2014 and 2022. These two invasions caused the international community to impose sanctions on Russia, targeting sectors such as energy, banking, and the military technology industry, thus affecting its economic performance. As a result, Russia experienced an economic crisis, leading to protests from some citizens, including emigration from the country, especially after the policy of partial military mobilization. However, Russia's domestic political situation tends to stabilize after the two waves of international sanctions. By using qualitative methods, this final project identifies the factors that influenced Russia's political stability under the leadership of President Vladimir Putin after the imposition of international sanctions following the annexation of Crimea and the invasion of Ukraine in 2014 and 2022."

"Tugas akhir ini membahas mengenai media Russia Today yang telah digunakan oleh pemerintah Rusia sebagai instrumen komunikasi politiknya sejak Russia Today pertama kali berdiri di tahun 2005. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat eksplanatif. Penelitian ini berupaya mengkaji keterlibatan media dalam upaya Rusia untuk terlibat di dalam krisis politk Ukraina yang terjadi pada akhir tahun 2013 hingga 2014 yang akhirnya berujung pada tindakan aneksasi wilayah Crimea oleh Rusia. Dalam tulisan ini penulis menggunakan konsep komunikasi politk, teori propaganda, dan teori framing, untuk mengkaji secara mendalam dan mengindentifikasi lima temuan penting yaitu pemerintah Rusia sebagai komunikator, isu yang dibangun di dalam aneksasi sebagai pesan, Russia Today sebagai saluran atau instrumen pemerintah Rusia dalam menyebarkan pesan tersebut, audiens internal dan eksternal sebagai komuniken, dan efek yang diharapkan oleh pemerintah Rusia dari penggunaan Russia Today sebagai instrumen komunikasi politiknya.

This paper discusses about how the role of Russia Today that has been used by the Russian Government as an instrument of political communication since Russia Today established in 2005. This research uses qualitative methods. This research also examines how the involvement of the media in Russia rsquo;s efforts to engage in Ukraine's political crisis that occurred in late 2013 to 2014 that led to the annexation of Crimea by Russian Government. The Author uses the concept of political communication, propaganda theory, and framing theory to indentify five important things. First, Russian Government as Communicators. Second, issues that Russia Today built as a message. Third, Russia Today as a channel or instrument of Russian Government to spread the message. Fourth, Russia Today rsquo;s internal and external audiences as communicants. Fifth, the effect which become the aim of Russia Government to use Russia Today as its instrument of Politcal Communication."

"Dalam menjadikan Rusia menjadi kekuatan Global, Rusia melakukan aneksasi terhadap Krimea pada 2014. Aneksasi Krimeaatau reunifikasi Rusia-Krimea ini menuai banyak kecaman, khususnya dari Group of Seven. Hal ini dianggap ilegal dan melanggar hukum yang berlaku. Berbagai macam media telah memberitakan mengenai kasus aneksasi Krimea ini, dapat dikatakan media menjadi peranan penting dalam menyampaikan pesan terhadap masyarakat luas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian studi kasus dengan menerapkan teori geopolitik imperatif untuk mengidentifikasikan bagaimana strategi geopolitik mempengaruhi pandangan serta respon media nasional dan media internasional negara-negara Group of Seven. Hasil yang didapatkan, strategi geopolitik yang dilakukan Rusia cukup mempengaruhi pandangan media internasional Group of Seven dan kurang mempengaruhi pandangan media nasional Group of Seven.

In making Russia a global power, Russia annexed Crimea in 2014. The annexation of Crimea or reunification Rusia-Crimea has drawn a lot of criticism, especially from the Group of Seven. This act is considered illegal and violates applicable laws. Various media have reported about the Crimea annexation case, it can be said that the media has played an important role in conveying messages to the wider community. This research uses a case study method by applying imperatif geopolitical theory to identify how geopolitical strategies affect the views and responses of Group of Seven national media and international media. The results obtained, the geopolitical strategy carried out by Russia quite influenced the Group of Seven international media views and less influenced the views of the Group of Seven national media."

It shows that notwithstanding their sometimes literate characteristics, storytelling in competitive contexts still follows strategies that are typical for oral performances. This paper questions in how far literate and narrative historiographies can and ought to be separated from each other in Southwest Maluku. This paper has been written in the framework of the project The Orphans of the Dutch East Indies Company, funded by The Dutch Culture Centre for International Cooperation.
