"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan tentang sejarah, ajaran dan berkembangnya Majelis Taklim Hidup Dibalik Hidup (HDH) di Desa Sigong, Kecamatan Lemahabang, Cirebon. HDH sebagai sebuah organisasi keagamaan menggunakan terjemahan Al-quran Departemen Agama dalam mengamalkan ajaran agama Islam, dan menjadikannya sebagai pedoman hidup. Riset ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan mengungkapkan inti dari ajaran, tokoh pendiri, serta prinsip ajaran Hidup Dibalik Hidup. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian lapangan dengan observasi dan wawancara. Ajaran ini meyakini bahwa akhirat adalah akhir dari kehidupan yang sekarang, bahwa di balik hidup ini ada lagi hidup kekal yakni hidup akhirat. Penelitian ini mengajukan argumentasi bahwa ajaran Majelis Taklim HDH mengklaim bahwa kelompok pengajiannya menerapkan Tasawuf Objektif karena ingin membuktikan bahwa ajaran tasawuf bukanlah ajaran yang tidak dapat dijangkau oleh akal manusia, tetapi dapat dipahami dengan sederhana oleh masyarakat awam.

ABSTRACTThis research explain and describe about history, development and teachings of Hidup dibalik Hidup (HDH) Majelis Taklim in Sigong Village, Lemahabang District, Cirebon. HDH is an religious organization uses the interpretation of Quran in applying Islamic teachings, and uses them as life guide. The objective of this research is to explain and explore the principle teachings of HDH, and its founder. The method uses field research through observation and interviews. The teachings of HDH believes that akhirat (the hereafter) is the end of life, which is eternal. This research argues that Majelis Taklim HDH applies Objective Tasawuf to prove that tasawuf teachings are not beyond human s rational, but can be understood simply by common people."

"This article studies the matter of ḥisāb and ru’ya, particularly conducted by the following two extremely well-known socio-religious organizations, NU and Muhammadiyah. The reason for this choice is that the two for most of Indonesian people is the symbol of difference, even, of dissension among its Muslims referring to the thought of lunar calendar in Indonesia. The choice and the usage of the two matters frequently take place to determine the beginning of Ramaḍān, Shawwāl, and Dhū’l-Ḥijja in spite of the others. Therefore, it is necessary to deal with how the relation between NU and Muhammadiyah is due to the matters. To find out the answer for the inquiry theoretical framework developed by Ian G. Barbour i.e.: Conflict, Independent, Dialogue and Integration will be exercised."
