"ABSTRAKLanguage as a means of communication in community has an important role in life, both urban and local communities. Theories applied in this paper include intercultural communication (Liliweri, 2016), language studies (Yule, 2014), sociolinguistics (Sumarsono, 2013), and other related theories. This paper aims to describe urban community communication strategies in adapting in Pontianak City. The method applied is descriptive method with qualitative approach. The result of the analysis shows that communication strategy used by urban community to adapt in Pontianak city through culture, language, and society. The form of adaptation of urban society through culture in Pontianak City by showing the characteristic of its culture so as giving space and its own value for society in that city. In practice, these culturalactivities use ethnic language (Dayak language, Chinese language, and Malay dialectof Pontianak) and Indonesian language."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang penyebaran agama katolik pada masyarakat Cina Benteng sejak gereja Tangerang resmi menjadi suatu paroki di tahun 1952 hingga tahun 1985. Skripsi ini meneliti tentang strategi inkulturasi dan pendidikan yang dilakukan oleh gereja Santa Maria kepada masyarakat Cina Benteng, yang sebelumnya telah memeluk agama tradisional yang berhubungan erat dengan adat istiadat mereka, hingga akhirnya banyak dari mereka mau mengenal dan menerima Katolik. Penulis juga meneliti perubahan, yang berhubungan dengan adat istiadat Cina Benteng, yang telah memeluk agama Katolik.

This thesis is about spreaded the Catholic religion in Cina Benteng society since the church in Tangerang officially became a parish in 1952 until 1985. The purpose of this thesis is to explain the inculturation and education strategies that Saint Mary church did to Cina Benteng society who previously had traditional religion that closely related to their custom, until some of them willing to know about Catholic religion and accept Catholicism in their lives. This thesis also explain the changes, which relate to Cina Benteng society customs, who has embraced Catholicism."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang kesinambungan tindak tutur dan keberhasilan komunikasi pada percakapan antartokoh utama dan tokoh utama dengan tokoh lainnya dalam naskah drama Prima Klima karya Fabian Schiedler. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan kesinambungan antara tindak ilokusi dengan tindak perlokusi dalam percakapan dan faktor yang menentukan keberhasilan komunikasi ditinjau dari aspek pragmatis. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori tindak tutur Austin dan Searle dan teori prinsip kerja sama Grice. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif.Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tidak selalu tercapai kesinambungan antar tindak ilokusi dengan tindak perlokusi pada percakapan tokoh dalam naskah drama Prima Klima. Sementara hasil analisis terhadap keberhasilan komunikasi ditinjau dari prinsip kerja sama Grice menunjukkan banyak terjadi pelanggaran terhadap maksim maksim prinsip kerja sama yang menyebabkan komunikasi tidak berhasil.

This undergraduate thesis is done to discuss the continuity of speech act and the communication success between each main characters and the main character with other characters in Fabian Schiedler plays Prima Klima. The purpose of this undergraduate thesis is to find the continuity between illocutionary act and perlocutionary act in the conversation and to find the factors that determine the success of the communication in terms of pragmatic aspects. The data was analyzed using Austin und Searle Theory of Speech Act and Grice Theory of Principle of Cooperation This undergraduate thesis was conducted using descriptive qualitative methodThe result of the analysis showed that the continuity between illocutionary act and perlocutionary act in Prima Klima plays is not always achieved. Meanwhile the analysis done to the communication success using Grice Principle of Cooperation showed numbers of violations of the maxims of cooperation principle thus result in communication failure."

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengembangan koleksi dan layanan di Taman Bacaan Anak Melati. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi partisipasi masyarakat terhadap pengembangan koleksi dan layanan taman bacaan serta faktor–faktor pendorong dan penghambat dalam proses partisipasi di Taman Bacaan Anak Melati. Hasil penelitian menyatakan partisipasi masyarakat tergolong masih terbatas. Partisipasi yang dominan adalah partisipasi dalam memberikan kepercayaan seperti mengizinkan anak-anak untuk mengikuti kegiatan di Taman Bacaan Melati. Sehingga disarankan kepada pihak Taman Bacaan Melati untuk proaktif melakukan komunikasi ke warga dan melibatkan warga dalam kegiatan yang diselenggarakan oleh Taman Bacaan Melati.

This thesis describes the society participationin collection development and services at Taman Bacaan Anak Melati. This research is qualitative research based with case study method. The purpose of this study is to identify society participation in the development of collections and library services as well as the stimulant and inhibiting factors in the process of participation at Taman Bacaan Anak Melati.

The end-result of this research shows that society participation is still relatively limited. Dominant participation is participation in providing such trust/confidence to allow children to take part in any TBAMelati's activities. Thus, recommended to the Taman Bacaan Anak Melati to proactively communicate to citizens and engage them in the activities organized by Taman Bacaan Anak Melati."

"ABSTRAKThe folksong of Papua is one of oral literature which contains many noble values in it. Therefore, it is necessary to preserve the folksong of the Papua, among others, by conducting a study of language functions. The purpose is to find out the various functions in the lyrics of Papuan folk songs as a form of communication in various languages in Papua. This research was conducted with a sociolinguistic approach that considered to how language is used so that it performs its functions maximally. The results of the study indicate that the language in the lyrics of the folksong of Papua has several functions, among other things, regulatory functions, interaction functions, personal functions, informative functions, and poetic functions."

"ABSTRAKNyanyian rakyat Papua merupakan salah satu sastra lisan yang mengandung banyak nilai-nilai luhur di dalamnya. Oleh sebab itu, perlu upaya pelestarian terhadap nyanyian rakyat Papua antara lain dengan melakukan kajian terhadap fungsi bahasa. Tujuannya ialah untuk mengetahui berbagai fungsi yang ada di dalam lirik nyanyian rakyat Papua sebagai salah satu bentuk berkomunikasi dalam berbagai bahasa di Papua. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan sosiolinguistik yang memperhatikan bagaimana pemakaian bahasa sehingga menjalankan fungsinya secara maksimal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahasa dalam lirik nyanyian rakyat Papua memiliki beberapa fungsi, antara lain fungsi regulatoris, fungsi interaksi, fungsi personal, fungsi informatif, dan fungsi puitik."

"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai bagaimana bentuk dan makna dari ketiga puisi dalam gambaran kondisi Suriah sebagai bentuk terpengaruhnya karya sastra terhadap peristiwa Arab Spring di Timur Tengah. Data penelitian ketiga puisi berasal dari penyair Suriah Tarif Youseff Agha yang berjudul “Arwaahu Al-Athfal”, “Yawmiyat Bathatan”, dan “Akhrujuuna Min Buyuutina”. Adapun metode yang dipakai, yaitu metode kualitatif dan metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan teori struktural semiotika pada analisisnya. Kesimpulan yang diambil dari penelitian ini adalah ketiga puisi menjadi cara penyair untuk melakukan protes terhadap pemerintah negaranya. Penggambaran keadaan sosial di Suriah dalam puisinya menjadi alasan dari protesnya.

This study discusses how the form and meaning of the three poems describe the condition of Syria as a form of literary influence on the Arab Spring events in the Middle East. The research data for the three poems comes from Syrian Poet Tarif Youseff Agha entitled “Arwaahu Al-Athfal”, “Yawmiyat Bathatan”, dan “Akhrujuuna Min Buyuutina”. The methods used are qualitative methods and descriptive methods using semiotic structural theory in their analysis. The conclusion drawn from this research is that the three poems are the poet's way of protesting against the government of his country. The description of social situation in Syria in his poetry as a reasons of his protests."
