"Kota Balikpapan adalah kota yang berada di sepanjang pantai timur Pulau Kalimantan. Kota dari Balikpapan berbatasan langsung dengan Selat Makassar. Masalah yang dihadapi Balikpapan Kota adalah fungsi tanah, yaitu reklamasi pembangunan belanja pusat-pusat yang menghasilkan perubahan bentuk pantai sehingga berpotensi mengalami abrasi. Di kota Balikpapan selama 6 tahun terakhir telah ada abrasi 40 meter yang menghasilkan penurunan Pendapatan Asli Daerah (BANTALAN). Penelitian tentang kerentanan pantai timur Kota Balikpapan terhadap perubahan dalam garis pantai pada tahun 2005 dan 2018 difokuskan pada perhitungan kerentanan sosial dan perubahan garis pantai dianalisis menggunakan tab silang. Penelitian ini membagi area berdasarkan bentuk pantai, yaitu pantai pasir halus, pantai pasir kasar, dan pantai tebal. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ada tiga tingkat kerentanan, yaitu rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Daerah dengan tingkat kerentanan tinggi ditemukan di pasir kasar segmen. Tingkat kerentanan di sepanjang segmen pantai pasir halus dan tingkat rendah kerentanan di sepanjang segmen pantai.

Balikpapan City is a city located along the east coast of Kalimantan Island. The city of Balikpapan is directly adjacent to the Makassar Strait. The problem that occurs in the City of Balikpapan is the function of the land, namely the construction of shopping centers that produce changes in the shape of the beach that is supported by abrasion improvements. In the city of Balikpapan for the past 6 years there have been 40 meters abrasion which results in a decrease in Regional Original Income (PADS). Research on respecting the east coast of Balikpapan for changes in coastlines in 2005 and 2018 was agreed on the calculation of social agreement and shoreline changes were analyzed using cross tabs. This study divides the area based on the shape of the beach, namely fine sand beaches, coarse sand beaches, and thick beaches. Based on the results of the analysis, there are three levels of achievement, namely low, medium and high. Areas with high discovery rates are found in the coarse sand segment. Response rates along the fine beach segment and low levels are considered along the beach segment."

"Latar belakang: Puskesmas merupakan ujung tombak pelayanan kesehatan pemerintah yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pelayanan kesehatan secara menyeluruh, terpadu, merata dan terjangkau. Sampai saat ini implementasi kegiatan puskesmas belum menunjukkan hasil yang optimal, hal ini tercermin dari belum optimalnya pemanfaatan puskesmas oleh masyarakat.
Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran dan hubungan antara aspek individu, aspek kemampuan dan aspek kebutuhan terhadap pemanfaatan pelayanan kesehatan di Puskesmas Sumber Rejo Kota Balikpapan.
Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, menggunakan rancangan Cross Sectional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dan sampel adalah seluruh penduduk dewasa yang bertempat tinggal di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sumber Rejo Kota Balikpapan. Jumlah sampel 104 responden, tekhnik pengambilan sampel adalah cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara wawancara menggunakan kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi Square.
Hasil: Responden yang memanfaatkan pelayanan kesehatan dalam 3 bulan terakhir sebanyak 64,4%, responden terbanyak pada rentang umur 17-55 tahun sebanyak 55,4%, pendidikan responden terbanyak SMA sebanyak 38,5%, sebanyak 79,8% responden tidak bekerja, 59,6% responden menyatakan adanya ketersediaan tenaga kesehatan, 60,6% responden menyatakan aksesibilitas yang mudah, 73,1% menyatakan memiliki asuransi dan 53,8% responden menyatakan tidak tahu tentang persepsi sakit. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara ketersediaan tenaga kesehatan dan persepsi sakit dengan pemanfaatan pelayanan kesehatan.
Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan yang bermakna antara ketersediaan tenaga kesehatan dengan pemanfaatan pelayanan kesehatan (p=0,020) dengan estimasi risiko 2,875 dan pada variabel persepsi sakit juga mempunyai hubungan yang bermakna dengan pemanfaatan pelayanan kesehatan (p=0,008) dengan estimasi risiko 3,308.

Background: Public Health Center is the vanguard of the government health service that aims to provide comprehensive health services, integrated, equitable and affordable. Until now the implementation of health centers have not shown that optimal results, it is reflected from the non optimal utilization of the public health centers.
Objective: This study aimed to determine image and the relationship between the individual aspects, aspects of ability and aspects of the need for utilization of health services in Sumber Rejo health centers of Balikpapan city.
Method: The study is a descriptive study, using Cross Sectional design with quantitative approach. Population and the sample is the entire adult population residing in the working area of the Sumber Rejo Health Centers, Balikpapan city. Number of samples 104 respondents, the sampling technique is random cluster sampling. The data was collected by interview using a questionnaire. Analyzed using Chi Square test.
Result: Total of Respondents who use health services in 3 last months 64.4%, most respondents in the 17-55 year age range much as 55.4%, respondents most high school education as much 38.5%, 79.8% of respondents did not work, 59 . 6% of respondents said the availability of health personnel, 60.6% of respondents said the easy accessibility, 73.1% claimed to have insurance and 53.8% of the respondents did not know about the perception of pain. The results of statistical tests showed that are significant relationship between the availability of health personnel and the perception of pain with health care utilization.
Conclusion: There was a significant association between the availability of health personnel with health care utilization (p = 0.020) with the estimated risk of 2.875 and there was a significant association between the pain perception with health care utilization (p = 0.008) with the estimated risk of 3.308.

"ABSTRAK
Cekungan Kutai terletak di Kalimantan Timur di mana formasi yang telah terbukti menjadi reservoir minyak adalah Formasi Balikpapan. Formasi Balikpapan adalah
diendapkan di lingkungan delta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengelompokkan batu pasir reservoir Formasi Balikpapan berdasarkan karakter geologi mikroskopis untuk memperkirakan kualitas reservoir berdasarkan porositas, interkoneksi pori-pori, dan diagenesis proses menggunakan petrografi bagian tipis, difraksi sinar-X (XRD), dan pemindaian metode mikroskop elektron (SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Formasi Balikpapan adalah didominasi oleh batupasir sublitharenite. Proses diagenesis batupasir termasuk pemadatan, sementasi, penggantian, dan pembubaran. Dari total 15 sampel yang memiliki 4 zona kedalaman berbeda, batupasir dapat dikelompokkan menjadi 3 batuan reservoir
kelompok.

ABSTRACT
The Kutai Basin is located in East Kalimantan where the formation that has proven to be an oil reservoir is the Balikpapan Formation. Balikpapan Formation is deposited in a delta environment. The purpose of this study is to classify the Balikpapan Formation reservoir sandstone based on microscopic geological character for
estimate reservoir quality based on porosity, pore interconnection, and process diagenesis using thin section petrography, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) methods. The results showed that the Balikpapan Formation was dominated by sublitharenite sandstones. The processes of sandstone diagenesis include compaction, cementation, replacement, and dissolution. From a total of 15 samples which has 4 different depth zones, sandstones can be grouped into 3 reservoir rocks group.

"Dalam ranah ilmu geologi, kandungan polen dalam sedimen dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aktivitas manusia terhadap lingkungan. Hal ini dilakukan dengan merekonstruksi ulang perubahan bentang vegetasi berdasarkan kandungan polen dan spora yang ada di dalam sedimen. Kehadiran charcoal dalam sedimen khususnya yang diambil dari wilayah tropis juga dapat mengindikasikan budaya masyarakat yang berkaitan dengan pembukaan lahan. Umumnya pembukaan lahan di Indonesia dilakukan dengan cara membakar hutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merekonstruksi perubahan bentang vegetasi dan sejarah api yang terjadi pada Kala Antroposen di Teluk Balikpapan, Kalimantan Timur. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan melakukan analisis terhadap data palinologi, charcoal, dan umur absolut berdasarkan metode 210Pb. Terdapat dua belas perconto dengan panjang 110 cm dan interval 10 cm. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan, sedimen yang diambil dari Teluk Balikpapan diendapkan pada lingkungan hutan bakau yang ditunjukkan oleh kelimpahan Rhizophoraceae dengan frekuensi yang sangat tinggi. Perubahan bentang vegetasi yang terjadi pada tiap zonasi polen berkaitan dengan aktivitas manusia seperti pembangunan kilang minyak, pertambangan batu bara, pembangunan kota, dan eksploitasi hutan. Sementara sejarah api menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan api di sekitar Teluk Balikpapan sudah cukup intensif sekitar 100 tahun yang lalu yang dipengaruhi oleh kondisi cuaca yang berkaitan dengan peristiwa ENSO (El Niño-Southern Oscillation), IOD (Indian Ocean Dipole), dan Proyek Sawah Sejuta Hektar. Intensitas api yang tinggi berkaitan dengan periode ENSO kuat. Berdasarkan data palinologi dan data charcoal, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perubahan bentang vegetasi dan sejarah api tidak memiliki kaitan.

In the realm of geology, the pollen content in sediments can be used to determine the effect of human activities on the environment. This is done by reconstructing changes in the vegetation landscape based on the pollen and spore content in the sediment. The presence of charcoal in sediments, especially those extracted from tropical areas, can also indicate community culture related to land clearing. Generally, land clearing in Indonesia is carried out by burning forests. This study aims to reconstruct changes in vegetation landscape and fire history that occurred during the Anthropocene in Balikpapan Bay, East Kalimantan. The approach taken in this study is to analyze data on palynology, charcoal, and absolute age based on the 210Pb method. There were twelve samples with a length of 110 cm and 10 cm intervals. Based on the analysis that has been done, sediments taken from Balikpapan Bay were deposited in the mangrove forest environment shown by the extremely high abundance of Rhizophoraceae. Changes in the vegetation landscape that occur in each pollen zone are related to human activities such as the oil refinery construction, coal mining, urban development, and forest exploitation. Meanwhile, the history of fire shows that the use of fire around Balikpapan Bay was quite intensive about 100 years ago which was influenced by weather conditions related to the events of ENSO (El Niño-Southern Oscillation), IOD (Indian Ocean Dipole), and the Million Hectare Rice Project. High fire intensity is associated with periods of strong ENSO. Based on palynological and charcoal data, it can be inferred that there is no connection between changes in vegetation landscape and fire history."

"ABSTRAK
Air merupakan salah satu sumber daya alam yang paling penting bagi semua
kehidupan di Bumi. Dalam fasilitas industri, air digunakan dalam berbagai
kegiatan. Total dikenal sebagai Total E & P Indonesie (TEPI) adalah perusahaan
yang beroperasi di Indonesia di sektor energi dan manufaktur kimia, terutama
pada industri minyak dan gas. Makalah ini akan mengevaluasi kinerja instalasi
pengolahaan air terhadap kualitas air yang dihasilkan dan akan dibandingkan
dengan peraturan air minum di Indonesia (Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik
Indonesia Nomor 736/Menkes/Per/VI/2010 tentang persyaratan kualitas air
minum). TEPI memiliki enam Water Treatment Plant (WTP) untuk mendukung
air bersih untuk ladang minyak dan gas, kantor, dan perumahan bagi karyawan
dan ada WTP Gunung Karang, PWT Sepinggan, PWT Handil 2 Base, DWT
Senipah, PWT Handil CPA (Central processing area), dan PWT CPU (Central
Processing Unit). Dari pengamatan di lapangan, pemeliharaan periodik, hasil dari
parameter analisis dipelajari (kekeruhan, pH, TDS, Fe, temperatur, residu klorin,
bakteri umum, bakteri coliform dan bakteri E.coli) dan wawancara dengan
operator dari PWT, bahwa ada tiga PWT dalam kondisi baik (WTP Gunung
Karang, PWT Sepinggan dan WTP CPU), satu PWT dalam kondisi baik dengan
catatan (DWT Senipah) dan dua PWT berada dalam kondisi buruk (WTP CPA
dan WTP Handil 2 Base).

ABSTRACT
Water is one of the most vital natural resources for all life on Earth. In industrial
facilities, water is used in a wide range of activities. Total as known as Total E&P
Indonesié (TEPI) is company which operating in Indonesia in energy sector and
chemical manufacturing, especially on oil and gas industry. This paper will
evaluate the performance of the WTP to the water quality produced and will be
compared with the regulation of drinking water in Indonesia (regulation of Health
Ministers of the Republic Indonesia number 736/Menkes/Per/VI/2010 about
drinking water quality requirements). TEPI have six Water Treatment Plant
(WTP) for supporting clean water for the oil and gas field, office and housing for
the employee. There are WTP Gunung Karang, PWT Sepinggan, PWT Handil 2
Base, DWT Senipah, PWT Handil CPA (Central processing Area), and PWT CPU
(Central Processing Unit). From observation in the field, the periodic
maintenance, the results of analysis parameters studied (turbidity, pH, TDS, Fe,
temperature, residual chlorine, general bacteria, bacteria coliform and bacteria
E.coli) and interviews with operator from PWT, there are three PWT that in a
good condition (WTP Gunung Karang, PWT Sepinggan and WTP CPU), one
PWT in a good condition with a note (DWT Senipah) and two PWT are in a bad
condition (WTP CPA and WTP Handil 2 Base)."

"Pendaftaran tanah dimaksudkan untuk memberikan kepastian hukum terhadap bidang-bidang tanah di wilayah Indonesia dengan suatu kepemilikan hak atas tanah sesuai peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku, termasuk di dalamnya adalah tanah negara. Di Kota Balikpapan, dapat dijumpai tanah dengan status segel yakni tanah negara yang bukti penguasaannya ada pada seseorang. Dalam rangka mencegah terjadinya tumpang tindih tanah dengan status segel maka Pemerintah Kota Balikpapan mengeluarkan Izin Membuka Tanah Negara (IMTN). Kebijakan tersebut dimaksudkan untuk memberikan perlindungan hukum bagi pemegang IMTN. Namun dalam kenyataannya masih ditemukan persoalan yang dipicu oleh IMTN itu sendiri sebagaimana dialami oleh Tuan H sebagai pemegang IMTN atas tanah dengan status segel yang tidak dapat melakukan perpanjangan izin. Terkait hal tersebut maka masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah tentang kedudukan IMTN dalam sistem pendaftaran tanah di Indonesia dan perlindungan hukum terhadap pemegang IMTN yang tidak dapat melakukan perpanjangan izin. Untuk dapat menjawab kedua masalah tersebut maka penelitian doktinal ini dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan bahan-bahan hukum melalui studi dokumen. Guna memperkuat data sekunder yang dikumpulkan melalui studi tersebut, dilakukan pula wawancara dengan beberapa responden yang relevan dengan masalah penelitian. Selanjutnya data sekunder dan hasil wawancara dianalisis secara kualitatif. Dari hasil analisis, dapat dinyatakan bahwa pengaturan tentang IMTN atas tanah dengan status segel tidak diatur secara jelas dalam Undang-Undang Pokok Agraria 1960, namun diatur secara tersirat dalam Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 24 Tahun 1997 tentang Pendaftaran Tanah, khususnya Pasal 24 Ayat (1). Pengaturan tentang IMTN ini termasuk dalam otonomi daerah berdasarkan Keputusan Presiden Republik Indonesia Nomor 34 Tahun 2003 tentang Kebijakan Nasional di Bidang Pertanahan. Adapun perlindungan hukum yang semestinya diberikan kepada pemegang IMTN adalah bersifat preventif. Hal tersebut disebabkan penguasaan tanah negara dengan status segel oleh Tuan H yang tidak dapat dilakukan perpanjangan IMTN adalah karena telah dilakukan perpanjangan IMTN dan berada di kawasan resapan air. Perpanjangan IMTN tersebut hanya dapat dilakukan 1 (satu) kali dengan jangka waktu 3 (tiga) tahun. Adanya perlindungan hukum preventif yang dinyatakan sebelumnya dilakukan dengan pendaftaran tanah ke kantor pertanahan sesuai dengan peruntukkan tanah dan Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah (RTRW), yang dalam penelitian ini berupa Hak Pakai.

Land registration is intended to provide legal certainty for land parcels in the territory of Indonesia with ownership of land rights by applicable laws and regulations, including state land. In Balikpapan City, land with Segel status can be found, namely state land where proof of ownership is in the possession of a person. The Balikpapan City Government issues the Practice of License to Open State Land (IMTN) to prevent land overlapping with Segel status. The policy is intended to provide legal protection for IMTN holders. However, in reality, there are still problems triggered by the IMTN itself, as experienced by Mr. H as the IMTN holder of land with a Segel status who cannot extend the permit. Related to this, the issues raised in this study are about the legal status of IMTN in the land registration system in Indonesia and legal protection for IMTN holders who cannot extend permits. To be able to answer these two problems, this doctrinal research was carried out by collecting legal materials through document studies. To strengthen the secondary data collected through the study, interviews were also conducted with several respondents who were relevant to the research problem. Furthermore, secondary data and interview results were analyzed qualitatively. From the analysis results, it can be stated that the regulation regarding IMTN on land with Segel status is not regulated in the 1960 Indonesian Agrarian Law, but is implicitly regulated in Indonesian Government Regulation Number 24 of 1997 concerning Land Registration, specifically Article 24 Paragraph (1). This arrangement regarding IMTN is included in regional autonomy based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 34 of 2003 concerning National Policy in the Land Sector. The legal protection that should be given to IMTN holders is preventive. This is due to the possession of state land with Segel status by Mr. H, which IMTN cannot extend because it has already been developed and is in a water catchment area. IMTN extension can only be done 1 (one) time with a period of 3 (three) years. The existence of preventive legal protection, which was stated previously, was carried out by registering land with the land office by the land allotment and the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW), which in this study was in the form of a Right to Use."

"Mangrove memiliki peranan penting bagi ekosistem pesisir, salah satunya penyumbang stok karbon (blue carbon). Isu pemanasan global dapat di kurangi dengan fungsi mangrove dalam penyimpanan karbon dan Kota Surabaya memiliki mangrove yang cukup luas di wilayah pesisir nya. Tetapi ancaman degradasi lahan mangrove di Kota Surabaya diakibatkan oleh aktivitas pembangunan, hal tersebut berkaitan dengan penurunan fungsi mangrove sebagai penyimpan karbon. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memetakan tutupan lahan dan persebaran stok karbon serta perubahannnya pada tahun 2015 – 2022 di Pesisir Timur Kota Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan citra Sentinel 2 tahun 2015 & 2022. Dalam mengestimasi persebaran dan nilai stok karbon mangrove, analisa dilakukan dengan pendekatan indeks vegetasi yang melalui uji statistik untuk mendapatkan model persebaran. Penghitungan biomassa mangrove lapangan dilakukan dengan cara Non-Destruktif dan menggunakan persamaan alometrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa IPVI sebagai indeks vegetasi yang lebih akurat dibanding TVI dan mRE-SR, dengan nilai korelasi R2 = 0,8072 dan nilai stok karbon mangrove rata rata mengalami pertambahan dari tahun 2015 – 2022 sebesar 50 – 100 kg/piksel. Pertambahan nilai stok karbon mangrove cenderung pada wilayah yang berubah tutupan lahan menjadi mangrove dan kerapatan yang semakin tinggi, sedangkan penurunan nilai stok karbon terjadi pada wilayah yang terjadi degradasi lahan mangrove dan terserang hama.

Mangroves have an important role for coastal ecosystems, one of which is a contributor to carbon stocks (blue carbon). The issue of global warming can be reduced by the function of mangroves in carbon storage and the City of Surabaya has quite extensive mangroves in its coastal areas. But the threat of degradation of mangrove land in the city of Surabaya is caused by development activities, this is related to the decline in the function of mangroves as a carbon store. The purpose of this research is to map land cover and the distribution of carbon stocks and their changes in 2015 – 2022 in the East Coast of Surabaya City. This study used Sentinel 2 imagery for 2015 & 2022. In estimating the distribution and value of mangrove carbon stocks, the analysis was carried out using the vegetation index approach through statistical tests to obtain a distribution model. Calculation of field mangrove biomass was carried out in a non-destructive manner and using allometric equations. The results showed that IPVI as a vegetation index is more accurate than TVI and mRE-SR, with a correlation value of R2 = 0.8072 and the average mangrove carbon stock value has increased from 2015 – 2022 by 50 – 100 kg/pixel. The increase in the value of mangrove carbon stocks tends to be in areas where land cover has changed to mangroves and the density is getting higher, while the decrease in the value of carbon stocks occurs in areas where mangrove land degradation has occurred and pest attacks."

"ABSTRACT
The objectives of this study are to investigate class structure, class consciousness,
class formation, and class struggle of fishers in Balilcpapan as well as factors affecting
these phenomena. Basically, this is a qualitative study.
The study found that class stnxcture of the fishers in Balikpapan has not been
simplified to become two great hostile classes, namely bourgeoisie and proletariat. On
the contrary, class structure of iishers in Balikpapan has developed to become more
complex. Now, there are four classes of fishers in Balikpapan, namely the capitalist, the
labour, the small fishers (petty bourgeoisie), and the intermediate/medium fishers. Class
relation between labour and owner of the means of production here is quite unique.
Unlike in industries in general, relation between labour and owner here contains two
dimensions, namely the exploitative dominative and the patron-client. This ?two
dimensions? pattem of class relation is also found between the tishers (especially the
small and the intermediate classes fishers) and the merchants.
Class consciousness and class formation of the labour have not been developed
yet. In other -words, so far, labour class exists only as a class in itself, not class for itself
Factors affecting labour class consciousness and class formation are iiagmentation of
labour, high class permeability, labour?s dependent on the owner, lack of leader, lack of
common problem, and the share-system (not wage). On the other hand, small and
intermediate classes fishers have already developed class consciousness as well as class
formation. The most important factors contribute to this fact are the present of ?big?
common problems over and over again, as well as the present of active and vocal leaders
among them. The capitalist class of Fishers has not developed class consciousness and
class formation.
In line with the lack of class consciousness and class formation of the labour,
class conflict between labour and owner has never occurred. Conflicts between labour
and owner only take place individually, not as a class. Form of individual labour struggle
are grievance, questioning, ?protest", and quit. On the other hand, small and intermediate
class fishers often carry out a class struggle fiom dialog with the opponent as well as
govemment and legislators (DPRD), huge and rather violent demonstration, up to
hijacking big ships and burning down big fishing vessel of their opponent.
In class conflict, whether between small and intermediate classes fishers with
mining firms or with ?big capitalist? fishers class, there is again a peculiar character
which is uncommon or even unknown to the industrial world. In fishery class conflict,
there is a strong alliance between the owner class and the labour class. Furthermore,
when class conflict is taking place between the lower and the higher class fishers such as
between the ?peja1a" (intermediate class) and the purse seine fishers (big capitalist class)
early 2006 in Balikpapan, a strong alliance between owner and labour in each class was still hold. It means, capitalist fishers plus labour agains intermediate fishers plus labour. Something that probably never imagined by Marx!
In the class conflict between the "pejala" (intermediate class) and the purse seine fishers (big capitalist class) in Balik papan, the main issue or the cause of the conlict was not exploitation but domination in the process of "production". In this case, the intermediete class was dominated by the big capitalist class. More over, even though the issue was a "realistic issue", but because it was about source of livelihood, the level of violence of the class conflict was very high. In the case, fishing vessel was burned down and the vice-skipper was hit near his eye. Thus, the violence of a class conflict is not only determined by realistic vs non-realistic issue, but whether it is about main source of livelihood or not.
In conclution, this study plays a remarkable and significant contribution to the theory of fishery class conflict in particular, and even for the theory of class and class conflict in general."

"Kebun Raya Balikpapan dengan luas area 309,22 ha merupakan sebagian kecil dari 10.000 ha Hutan Lindung Sungai Wain di Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia, yang dialihfungsikan sebagai Kebun Raya. Salah satu peran Kebun Raya Balikpapan adalah penyedia jasa lingkungan diantaranya mengurangi terjadinya pemanasan global melalui penghasil biomassa dan menjaga cadangan karbon. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi besarnya biomassa dan cadangan karbon di Kebun Raya Balikpapan serta mengetahui persentase komponen hutan dalam menyumbang cadangan karbon. Data utama diambil dari Kebun Raya Balikpapan dengan menggunakan metode kombinasi jalur dan petak, sedangkan teknik penempatan petak contoh dilakukan secara terarah (purposive sampling). Setiap unit contoh diambil data pohon berdiri, necromass, tumbuhan bawah, serasah dan contoh tanah. Pendugaan potensi biomassa dan karbon pada pohon dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode non destruktif, sedangkan tumbuhan bawah dan serasah dilakukan dengan metode destruktif. Kebun Raya Balikpapan mempunyai peran yang besar dalam penyimpanan biomassa dan cadangan karbon. Rata-rata biomassa di Kebun Raya Balikpapan sebesar 203,42 ton/ha dan cadangan karbon sebesar 141,55 ton/ha. Total biomassa Kebun Raya Balikpapan sebesar 58.990,8 ton dan cadangan karbon sebesar 41.049,0 ton. Komponen terbesar penyumbang cadangan karbon adalah pohon hidup (48,50%) dan tanah (28,15%).

ABSTRACT
Balikpapan Botanic Garden has 309.22 hectare, within the 10,000 hectare Wain River forest conservation area, in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. One of the roles of the Botanic Garden is as a provider of environmental services. This encompasses contributing to effort in reducing global warming by producing biomass and storing carbon reserves. The aims of the research were to estimate the magnitude of the biomass and carbon stocks in the Balikpapan Botanic Garden as well as to determine the percentage contribution of forest components make to the carbon stock. Primary data was collected from the Botanic Garden precincts using a combination of transects and quadrat plots deploying a purposive sampling procedure. From each sampling unit, data was systematically collected for living trees, necromass (mass of dead timber), ground cover, litter and soil. A non-destructive method was used to estimate the potential biomass and carbon of the living trees whereas a destructive determination of biomass was used for ground cover and litter. The Balikpapan Botanic Garden plays a major role in conserving biomass and carbon stocks. The average biomass and carbon stock determined across sampling sites in the Balikpapan Botanic Garden was 203 ton/ha and 142 ton/ha, respectively. The total amount of biomass and carbon held in the Garden was estimated at 58,990 ton and 41,050 ton, respectively. The largest contribution to the carbon stocks is in the form of living trees (49% of the total carbon stock) and soil (28% of the total carbon stock)."

"Pertumbuhan penduduk mengarah pada ketersediaan lahan permukiman. Tekanan populasi ini menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan dengan kemampuan lahan permukiman di Kota Samarinda. Prediksi pemodelan spasial diperlukan sebagai langkah untuk mencegah perubahan tutupan lahan yang berlebihan di masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi daya dukung permukiman dan pemodelan spasial tutupan lahan yang terjadi di Kota Samarinda pada tahun 2006, 2014, dan 2020. Metode Pengolahan data menggunakan Cellular Automata Markov Chain (CAMC) dan Indeks Daya Dukung Lahan Permukiman. Selanjutnya Indeks Daya Dukung Lahan Permukiman digunakan untuk memprediksi kemampuan lahan permukiman. Hasil CAMC menunjukkan adanya ekspansi tutupan lahan permukiman yang dipengaruhi oleh driving factor diantaranya jarak dari jalan, jarak dari sungai, jarak dari point of Interest (fasilitas kesehatan dan fasilitas pendidikan), lereng, dan wilayah ketinggian. Hasil daya dukung lahan permukiman dipengaruhi oleh jumlah penduduk, standar luas kebutuhan ruang, dan luas lahan permukiman di Kota Samarinda. Perhitungan daya dukung lahan permukiman tahun 2034 di Kota Samarinda mendapatkan hasil nilai indeks daya dukung lahan permukiman sebesar 4,6 m²/kapita. Arti dari 4,6 m²/kapita bahwa daya dukung lahan permukiman masih mampu menampung penduduk untuk bermukim 4 kali dari jumlah penduduk yang ada pada tahun 2034 karena memiliki luas yang lebih untuk menampung penduduk yang ada.

Population growth leads to the availability of residential areas, this population pressure causes an imbalance with the ability of residential areas in Samarinda City. Spatial modeling predictions are needed as a prevention step to prevent excessive land cover changes in the future. This research aims to predict residential area carrying capacity and spatial modeling of land cover that occurred in Samarinda City in 2006, 2014, and 2020. The data processing method uses the Cellular Automata Markov Chain (CAMC) and the Capability Index of the residential area. Then the residential area Capacity Index is used to predict the ability of a residential area. The Cellular Automata Markov Chain (CAMC)  results show that there is an expansion of residential area land cover which affected by driving factors that consist of distance from the nearby road, distance from the river, distance from the point of interest (health facility and education facility), slope, and elevation. The residential area land carrying capacity results affected by population density, standard needed land area, and residential area extent in Samarinda City. The calculation of residential area land carrying capacity in 2034 Samarinda City results in the index value of the carrying capacity residential area 4.6 m²/capita. The meaning of 4.6 m²/capita is that the carrying capacity of residential area is still able to accommodate residents to live 4 times the total population in 2034 because it has more area to accommodate the existing population."
