"The genus Huperzia is an epiphitic fern of the family lycopodiaceae which has potential value as an ornamental plant. However, information on its usage, cultivation, and conservation aspects are still limited. Bogor Botanic Garden as an ex-situ conservation institution plays an important role in conserving the genus. Exploration activities have been done in many places in Indonesia. Until now, Bogor Botanic Garden has collected several specimens from North and West Sumatra and Maluku."

"One of the genera that can be found in Bogor Botanical Gardens plant collection is Ficus (Moraceae). This genus has several habitus, one of which is hemiepiphyte. There are several stages of hemiepiphyte Ficus spp. growth process. It starts from the epiphytic phase to the last phase as a strangler that can kill the host tree. Hemiepiphyte Ficus spp. has a very important role in terms of improving gardens ecological function. However, hemiepiphyte Ficus spp. need to be properly managed in order not to destroy the host plant especially when it is a plant collection with particular value."

"Kebun Raya Bogor merupakan destinasi wisata alam yang bermuatan ilmu pengetahuan di Bogor. Penyampaian informasi melalui lanskap lingusitik di kawasan Kebun Raya Bogor menjadi penting untuk para wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kecenderungan penggunaan bahasa di ruang publik Taman Nepenthes Kebun Raya Bogor. Data penelitian berjumlah 30 yang dibagi menjadi tiga kategori. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa didapatkan data terbanyak dari kategori informasi dan edukasi di tempat penelitian sebanyak 19 LL. Pemakaian bahasa cenderung bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa utama pada kategori tersebut. Terdapat alih kode dan campur kode pada LL. Istilah ilmiah juga ditemukan pada teks sebagai edukasi kepada pengunjung mengenai tanaman Nepenthes. Terdapat beberapa pemakaian kata pada LL yang belum sesuai dengan KBBI. Oleh karena itu, pengelola Kebun Raya Bogor perlu meningkatkan kualitas LL, khususnya dalam aspek pemakaian bahasa Indonesia.

Bogor Botanical Gardens is a natural tourist destination that contains science in Bogor. The delivery of information through linguistic landscapes in the Bogor Botanical Gardens area is important for national and international tourists. This research aims to explain trends in language use in public spaces at Nepenthes Park, Bogor Botanical Gardens. There are 40 data research divided into four categories. The research methods applied in this research are quantitative and qualitative methods. The research results showed that the most data obtained from the information and education category at the research site was 19 LL. Language use tends bahasa Indonesian as the main language in this category. There is code switching and code mixing in LL. Scientific terms are also found in the text to educate visitors about the Nepenthes plant. There are several uses of words in the LL that are not in accordance with the KBBI. In conclusion, the management of the Bogor Botanical Gardens needs to improve the quality of LL, especially in the aspect of using the bahasa Indonesian."

"Sebagai bagian dari kebun raya dunia, Kebun Raya Indonesia (KRI) memiliki tanggung jawab untuk melaksanakan upaya konservasi tumbuhan dan penelitian di Indonesia. Pada kenyataannya, empat kebun raya yang dikelola oleh LIPI baru mampu mengkonservasi sekitar 21,5% dari seluruh tumbuhan terancam kepunahan Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengembangan Kebun Raya Daerah (KRD) untuk mengkonservasi tumbuhan pada tiap daerah di Indonesia. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui capaian KRD dalam konservasi tumbuhan dan menentukan strategi pengelolaan koleksi tumbuhan pada tiap KRD, terutama dalam mendukung pencapaian Target 8 GSPC. Pada akhir 2012, KRI bersama KRD telah berhasil mengoleksi 24% dari tumbuhan terancam kepunahan Indonesia dan telah berhasil melakukan perbanyakan 25% dari tumbuhan terancam kepunahan itu (termasuk koleksi di pembibitan). Beberapa strategi untuk D. W. Purnomo et al. Pengembangan Koleksi Tumbuhan Kebun Raya Daerah 112 pengembangan koleksi KRD antara lain: penguatan sistem data base koleksi; pengembangan koleksi tumbuhan di setiap KRD dengan mengacu pada IUCN Red List dan jenis unggulan lokal; dan penentuan spesies prioritas untuk konservasi.

ABSTRAKAs a member of the International Association of Botanic Gardens (IABG), Indonesian Botanic Gardens (IBG) has responsibilites to conduct plant conservation efforts and research in Indonesia. In fact, four botanic gardens managed by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences were only able to conserve approximately 21.5% of the Indonesian threatened plants. Therefore, it has been important to develop local/regional botanic gardens (L/RBG) throughout Indonesia in order to conserve the plant diversity. This paper aims to review and highlight the L/RBG achievements in plants conservation and to establish management strategy of plants collection in each region, especially in achieving the Target 8 of the GSPC. At the end of 2012, IBG and L/ RBG has collected and managed 24% of the Indonesian threatened plants and succesfully cultivated 25% of the Indonesian threatened plants (including in the nursery collections). Some strategies developed for the L/RBG plants collection development include: strengthening collection management and data base; developing and enriching plants collection in each L/RBG with reference to the IUCN Red List and local flagship species; and setting the priority species for conservation policy and actions. "
