"The advanced development of information and communication technologybrings a significant impact on the way of how human learn. The e-learning orInternet-based and online learning has been widely used in a variety of learning activities as a suplement to the conventional in-class learning, flipped classroom etc. The term e-learning refers to learning activities conducted by the use ofInternet. Universitas Terbuka (UT) utilizes e-learning program in the form of online tutorial. The online tutorial is basically a form of learning support provided by UT to facilitate student to learn. The online tutorial consists of three major learning activities including reading, discussion and assignment. During online tutorial student must complete the assigned activities and interaction with peers, tutor and digital learning resources. Online tutorial can be seen as an instrumental tool that provide an opportunity for students to expandhis/her knowledge and skills beyond the provided printed and digital module. Tutors should be able to design online learning programs that can be used to facilitate students in expanding their knowledge and skills. The purpose of this study is to elaborate conceptually the use of constructivism learning theory in online tutorial of the open and distance learning higher institution."

"The use of digital and network technology has significant effects on the human learning process. It changes the paradigm of learning and instruction. Recently, by using digital and network technology, students can learn without facing the restriction of time and place. In addition, the students can use various learning resources and materials to support their efforts in gaining knowledge and skills. This article will elaborate on the possibility of implementing constructivism learning theories in designing an online learning tutorial program that will support and facilitate distance learning students to build better knowledge and skills. Universitas Terbuka (UT), an Indonesian state university that implements a distance learning system, conducts an online learning program to support the students’ learning process. The use of constructivism theory in online learning is expected to enable students to widen their knowledge and sharpen their skills while learning. This study uses a research and development approach to create a constructivist online learning program that can facilitate distance learning students’ achieving their learning objectives. The result of the study indicated that the use of constructivism learning theories facilitated the distance learners to attain better learning achievement in the Research Methodology course."

ABSTRAKTulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengembangan program tutorial online yang mengintegrasikan panduan belajar mandiri untuk melatihkan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Pendidikan Tinggi Jarak jauh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan penelitian dan pengembangan. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi salah satu institusi pendidikan jarak jauh di Indonesia yang mengikuti tutorial online mata kuliah Anatomi dan Fisiologi Manusia, Perkembangan Hewan, Strategi Pembelajaran Biologi, dan Evaluasi Pembelajaran Biologi pada tahun akademik 2016 semester satu. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner, angket kemandirian belajar, angket terbuka, tes, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan tutorial online terdapat peningkatan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa pada kategori rendah dan peningkatan hasil belajar pada kategori sedang. Selain itu, mahasiswa menilai positif terhadap latihan kemandirian belajar yang diintegrasikan ke dalam tutorial online tersebut. Dengan demikian, penerapan tutorial online yang mengintegrasikan panduan belajar dapat meningkatkan kemandirian belajar dan hasil belajar mahasiswa."

ABSTRACTThe online tutorials for undergraduatestudents at Universitas Terbuka has 30% of contributions to the grade of the final exam, which is why students are expected not to depend solely on independent learning without any supporting facilities. With 339 undergraduate students of SIPAS NON-TTM PGSD and PGPAUD, the researcher used the unified theories of acceptance and use of technology to analyze students acceptance and technology usage, and using multiple regression as the statistical tools to test out the influence of performace expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions towards the behavioral intention of undergraduate students of PGSD and PGPAUD in using online tutorials.It was found that facilitating conditions had the most significant influence towards behavioral intention, while performance expectancy was right after. Lower influence was found in social influence, while the effort expectancy doesn't have any significant effect on behavioral intention of undergraduate students of PGSD and PGPAUD in using online tutroials."

"One of the fundamental challenges in reinforcement learning is to setup a proper balance between ex-ploration and exploitation to obtain the maximum cummulative reward in the long run. Most proto-cols for exploration bound the overall values to a convergent level of performance. If new knowledge is inserted or the environment is suddenly changed, the issue becomes more intricate as the explo-ration must compromise the pre-existing knowledge. This paper presents a type of multi-channel adaptive resonance theory (ART) neural network model called fusion ART which serves as a fuzzy approximator for reinforcement learning with inherent features that can regulate the exploration stra-tegy. This intrinsic regulation is driven by the condition of the knowledge learnt so far by the agent. The model offers a stable but incremental reinforcement learning that can involve prior rules as boot-strap knowledge for guiding the agent to select the right action. Experiments in obstacle avoidance and navigation tasks demonstrate that in the configuration of learning wherein the agent learns from scratch, the inherent exploration model in fusion ART model is comparable to the basic E-greedy po-licy. On the other hand, the model is demonstrated to deal with prior knowledge and strike a balance between exploration and exploitation.
Salah satu permasalahan mendasar dari Reinforcement Learning adalah mengatur keseimbangan anta-ra eksplorasi dan eksploitasi untuk mendapatkan ganjaran (reward) maksimal secara kumulatif dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Ketika pengetahuan awal diikutsertakan, masalah muncul karena eksplorasi yang dilakukan harus dikompromikan dengan pengetahuan sebelumnya yang telah dipelajari. Maka-lah ini menampilkan salah satu jenis jaringan saraf tiruan adaptive resonance theory (ART) berkanal ganda yang dikenal juga dengan sebutan fusion ART yang juga merupakan aproksimator Fuzzy untuk reinforcement learning dengan kemampuan meregulasi strategi eksplorasi sebagai sifat dasarnya. Mo-del ini menawarkan proses pembelajaran yang stabil tetapi inkremental serta mampu melibatkan pe-ngetahuan awal yang memilih aksi yang benar. Eksperimen menggunakan navigasi dan menghindari rintangan sebagai domain masalah menunjukkan bahwa konfigurasi pembelajaran menggunakan sifat dasar untuk meregulasi eksplorasi sebanding dengan metoda umum yang menggunakan aturan E-greedy. Di lain pihak, model yang diusulkan ini juga menunjukkan kemampuan dalam menggunakan pengetahuan awal serta mencapai keseimbangan dalam eksplorasi dan eksploitasi pengetahuan"
