ABSTRACT
Female body has been constructed in patriarchal society in opposition to that of the male body. This objectification of female body in patriarchal culture has created a binary opposition to both male and female. Female body is constructed as weak, inferior, and submissive towards male body. This binary finds its root deep in history, perpetuated by strict narration of sexual ideologies in culture, religion, social, and politic. It also creates the oppression and exploitation of female body that still exist today. Therefore, in order to destroy this oppressive binary and subsequent vision of female body, some women have used the female body as vehicle of political action, one of them is feminist group lsquo Femen rsquo . In pursuit of exploring and understanding the body as political vehicle, this thesis would involve theoretical decomposition the body reconstruction and political action which are understood as power. This thesis used a qualitative approach and case study methods which aims to explore and understand body protest. Moreover, the body protest can be made as media of messages and demands. Through naked body, lsquo Femen rsquo is trying to quell the patriarch and freed women from narrative culture, religion, and politically misogynist. They were able to voice of women which had not heard in Ukraine."

"The media is often viewed as a primary gauge which reflects the changing political landscape as societies transition from authoritarian regimes to democracies. Chronicling the process through media analysis provides deeper insights into the relationship between technology, the state, and social forces that are reflected in the public's communications. This volume explores the challenges and political conditions that have shaped the media in several representative studies of the media in the Middle East, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Africa. The contributors analyse the legacy of the past on the development of the media in post-authoritarian regimes and explore the relationships between media, communication industries (public relations), and politics. The use of new communications technologies to manipulate the media and the public introduce a novel use of social media by populists as well as authoritarian regimes and their proxies. This book presents a comparative and global investigation of the role of the media in the realignment from established policies to an emerging milieu of new channels of communication that challenge traditional media practices."

This research explains the use of Russian language in post-Soviet Uzbekistan related to its language policy. This thesis uses descriptive-analytical method, with the constitution and language law of Uzbekistan as primary sources, and results of survey on language use in Uzbekistan from numerous institutions, then analyzed with language policy and planning theories . The evidence in this thesis shows that Uzbekistan has been implementing language policy and planning in spheres of general life, education, and mass media in purpose of building the national identity and social integrity. Related to the implementation of language policy, bilingualism occur in Uzbekistan with the use of Russian language and Uzbek language in many spheres of life. It is then concluded that the use of Russian language is reduced although it is still widely spoken."
