"Penelitian ini membahas transformasi industri jasa electroplating sebagai Second Tier Supplier dalam industri otomotif. Perubahan yang signifikan terjadi dalam proses produksi, manajemen, dan teknologi untuk menjawab tantangan pasar global. Fokus utama adalah meningkatkan profitabilitas melalui peningkatan kualitas dan produktivitas. Dalam rangka mencapai tujuan tersebut, Lean Production System atau Toyota Production System digunakan untuk menganalisis dan mengurangi pemborosan dalam proses produksi. Pemodelan alur proses dengan Material Information Flow Chart (MIFC) atau Value Stream Mapping (VSM) membantu visualisasi semua aktivitas yang menambah atau tidak menambah nilai pada produk. Metode penelitian melibatkan penggunaan 7 alat manajemen kualitas dan Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA) untuk mengevaluasi dan memperbaiki area-area yang memengaruhi kualitas dan produktivitas. This research discusses the transformation of the electroplating service industry as a Second Tier Supplier in the automotive industry. Significant changes have occurred in production processes, management and technology to answer global market challenges. The main focus is increasing profitability through improving quality and productivity. In order to achieve this goal, the Lean Production System or Toyota Production System is used to analyze and reduce waste in the production process. Process flow modeling with a Material Information Flow Chart (MIFC) or Value Stream Mapping (VSM) helps visualize all activities that add or do not add value to the product.
