"It is recognized that the effectiveness of a research, in general, since the effectiveness of a research is highly dependent on the objective(s) of the research. The problems would arise if the research has qualitative objective(s), moreover if the target is for the future. It has been well known that a leader should be making strategic decision over times for the best of the future. Thence, the effectiveness of research in leadership building would be a hard topic to be explained. For this reason, this paper proposes a classification of various researchers, such as good and bad researchers, as well as the worst and unethical research, based on my own observation and evaluation, and then I derive the characteristics of an effective research based on the proposed research classification.

This undergraduate thesis discusses the form of Pakistani military involvement in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. Pakistan has a history of military dominance in government. The Pakistani military staged a coup against the civilian government to gain power. However, even though Pakistan is currently led by a civilian government, the military can still influence the decision making process that occurs. This created the conditions of the Praetorian State. As a result, military dominance in government led to the growth of military business in the country. Military business aims to generate profits for the military itself. Military-owned companies have been involved in various projects in the country. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Project (CPEC) is an opportunity for military businesses to get involved in the project. Because the military still dominates the decision-making process that occurs, the military uses security reasons and military practices in developing countries to get involved in CPEC projects. As a result, the military participated in the CPEC project, ranging from establishing security policies, mobilizing troops to guard them to the involvement of military-owned companies in the CPEC project."

This study analyzes the reasons behind Myanmar signed the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor (CMEC) project with China. The research question of this study is why Myanmar signed the CMEC infrastructure project agreement with China in 2018. This study uses a qualitative methods and explanatory research techniques. In answering research questions, this study uses the theory of the adaptive model in foreign policy by James N. Rosenau. There were three reasons behind Myanmar signing the CMEC project. First of all, Myanmar adapted to changes in the external environment, which is the factors of great power structure, alliances, and situational factors. Secondly, Myanmar also adapted in the internal environment changes, which is economic development and political accountability. Lastly, these two variables were taken into consideration by the government of Myanmar and Aung San Suu Kyi to finally signed the CMEC project with China. Based on these two variables, it was found that Myanmar adopted an acquiescent adaptation pattern that was largely influenced by its dependence from China."
