"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran moderator dari manajemen karier organisasi pada hubungan orientasi karier protean dan keterlibatan karier melalui mediasi adaptabilitas karier. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 257 responden pegawai Kementerian Kesehatan melalui kuesioner secara daring. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis mediasi moderator menggunakan PROCESS Macro Hayes model 7. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa manajemen karier organisasi menjadi moderator pada hubungan orientasi karier protean dan keterlibatan karier melalui adaptabilitas karier dengan indeks mediasi moderasi sebesar (indeks= -0.011, SEBoot = 0.004, CI 95% = -0.018 hingga -0.003). Dengan interval kepercayaan 95%, nilai CI tidak melewati angka 0 maka efek mediasi yang dimoderasi dinyatakan signifikan. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa ketika manajemen karier organisasi rendah justru dapat menguatkan hubungan orientasi karier dan keterlibatan karier melalui mediasi adaptabilitas karier. Hasil penelitian ini mengasumsikan bahwa manajemen karier organisasi menjadi faktor yang tidak berperan penting bagi individu dalam meningkatkan peran mediasi adaptabilitas karier pada hubungan orientasi karier dan keterlibatan karier. Secara praktis, temuan ini menyarankan organisasi untuk melakukan evaluasi mengenai praktik manajemen karier yang diterapkan dengan memberikan praktik OCM yang lebih intensif dan komprehensif melalui praktik manajemen aktif dan perencanaan aktif untuk pengembangan karier individu.

This study aims to examine the moderator role of organizational career management on the relationship between protean career orientation and career
involvement through the mediation of career adaptability. This research was conducted on 257 respondents of Ministry of Health employees through online questionnaires. This research is quantitative research with moderator mediation
analysis techniques using PROCESS Macro Hayes model 7. The analysis results show that organizational career management moderates the relationship between protean career orientation and career engagement through career adaptability with a moderating mediation index of (index = -0.011, SEBoot = 0.004, 95% CI = - 0.018 to -0.003). With a 95% confidence interval, the CI value does not exceed 0,
the moderated mediation effect is significant. These results indicate that when organizational career management is low, it can strengthen the relationship
between career orientation and career engagement through the mediation of career adaptability. The results of this study assume that organizational career management is a factor that does not play an important role for individuals in increasing the mediating role of career adaptability in the relationship between career orientation and career engagement. These findings suggest organizations to evaluate their applied career management practices by providing a more intensive and comprehensive practice of OCM through active management practices and active planning for individual career development."

"Penetapan visi pembangunan SMART Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) 2024 oleh pemerintah pusat menghasilkan penyederhanaan birokrasi berupa penyederhanaan eselonisasi di seluruh lingkungan Kementerian. Grand Design yang diterapkan Instansi X dalam menyikapi kebijakan reformasi birokrasi dengan penataan jabatan yang sesuai dengan kompetensi. Pegawai yang mengalami penataan jabatan atau transisi karier adalah mereka yang berpindah dari jabatan struktural menjadi jabatan fungsional. Berdasarkan situasi tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kembali usaha pengembangan karier yang dilakukan melalui hubungan rasa berdaya psikologis terhadap keterlibatan karier melalui mediasi dari efikasi diri pada karier dan adaptabilitas karier. Penelitian ini melibatkan 262 pegawai ASN Instansi X yang telah mengalami transisi karier. Responden dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik convenience sampling melalui penyebaran kuesioner secara online. Teknik pengujian mediasi pada penelitian ini menggunakan macro PROCESS model 6 Hayes (sequential mediation model). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan efek total (standardized total effect) yang diperoleh (β=0,624, p<0,05), dengan efek langsung (standardized direct effect) (β=0,291, p<0,05) dan efek tidak langsung (standardized indirect effect) (β=0, 333, p<0,05). Pengujian mediasi ini menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri pada karier dan adaptabilitas karier memediasi secara parsial pada hubungan antara rasa berdaya psikologis dengan keterlibatan karir pada pegawai ASN Institusi X.

The establishment of the 2024 ASN (Indonesia Civil Services) SMART development vision by the central government resulted in a simplification of the bureaucracy in the form of de-echelonization throughout the Ministry. The Grand Design applied by Institution X in responding to bureaucratic reform policies by structuring positions according to competence. Employees who have experienced a structured position or career transition are those who have moved from structural positions to functional positions. Based on this situation, this study aims to review career development efforts carried out through the relationship of psychological empowerment to career engagement through the mediation of career self-efficacy and career adaptability. This study involved 262 Indonesia Civil Services at Institution X who had experienced career transitions. Respondents were collected using convenience sampling technique by distributing online questionnaires. The mediation testing technique in this study uses the Hayes macro PROCESS model (sequential mediation model). The results showed the standardized total effect obtained (β=0,624, p<0,01), with a standardized direct effect (β=0,291, p<0,01) and standardized indirect effect (β=0, 333, p<0,01). This mediation test shows that career self-efficacy and career adaptability partially mediate the relationship between psychological empowerment and career engagement in Civil Services at Institution X employees"

"Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran adaptabilitas karier dalam memediasi hubungan antara eksplorasi karier dan keyakinan terhadap keputusan karier, sehingga mampu mendukung mahasiswa sarjana tingkat akhir untuk memiliki keyakinan terhadap keputusan karier. Partisipan penelitian merupakan mahasiswa sarjana tingkat akhir yang menempuh studi di perguruan tinggi Indonesia dan sudah memiliki pengalaman eksplorasi karier dalam kurun waktu minimal enam bulan (n = 105). Metode analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah percentile bootstrapping method dengan perangkat lunak PROCESS milik Hayes. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa eksplorasi karier memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung pada keyakinan terhadap keputusan karier melalui adaptabilitas karier sebagai mediator (ab = 0,189, CI = 99%, LLCI = 0,045, ULCI = 0,432). Individu yang telah melaksanakan eksplorasi karier akan memiliki kemampuan adaptabilitas karier dan mereka yang mampu menghadapi tantangan karier dapat merasa yakin pada keputusan karier yang dibuat. Limitasi dari penelitian ini adalah tidak adanya penjelasan konteks spesifik dari eksplorasi karier yang dilakukan oleh partisipan. Hasil penelitian dapat digunakan oleh otoritas perguruan tinggi dan pihak terkait untuk mengimplementasikan kegiatan eksplorasi karier bagi para mahasiswanya sejak semester awal.

Fresh graduates in Indonesia often experience negative impacts of undecidedness toward their career decisions in the last year of their study, such as job hopping and unemployment. This study aims to explain the role of career adaptability in mediating the relationship between career exploration and career decidedness. The participants of this study are Indonesian university’s undergraduates who have engaged in career exploration for six months or more (n = 105). The statistical analysis method used in this study is the percentile bootstrapping method using PROCESS founded by Hayes. The result shows that career exploration has an indirect effect on career decidedness through career adaptability as the mediator (ab = 0,189, CI = 99%, LLCI = 0,045, ULCI = 0,432). Individuals who have done career exploration will have career adaptability, and those who can adapt to their career challenges will feel decided with the career decision they have made. The limitation of this study is the absence of explanation regarding the specific context of the participants' career explorations. This study can be used by higher education institution authorities and related parties to implement career exploration programs for their students that can increase the students’ career adaptability and career decidedness."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah career adaptability memiliki peran yang lebih kuat dalam kepuasan hidup karyawan dibandingkan dengan kepribadian grit. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional dan regresi berganda. Ketiga variabel tersebut diukur dengan menggunakan alat ukur Satisfaction With Life Scale untuk mengukur kepuasan hidup secara keseluruhan, Short Grit Scale untuk mengukur grit, dan Career Adapt-Abilities Scale Form 2.0 untuk mengukur kemampuan beradaptasi karir. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 113 karyawan dengan rentang usia 25-40 tahun dan telah bekerja di perusahaan tempat mereka bekerja minimal satu tahun. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa adaptasi karir (r = 0,381, p <0,05) memiliki hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan kepuasan hidup karyawan, sedangkan grit tidak (r = 0,009, p> 0,05). Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan bahwa adaptasi karir (β = 0,433, p <0,05) memiliki peran yang lebih kuat daripada kepribadian grit (β = -0,157, p> 0,05) dalam memprediksi kepuasan hidup karyawan.

This study aims to determine whether career adaptability has a stronger role in employee life satisfaction than grit personality. This research is a quantitative research with correlational method and multiple regression. These three variables were measured using the Satisfaction With Life Scale measuring tool to measure overall life satisfaction, the Short Grit Scale to measure grit, and the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale Form 2.0 to measure career adaptability. Participants in this study totaled 113 employees with an age range of 25-40 years and had worked at the company where they worked for at least one year. The analysis showed that career adaptation (r = 0.381, p <0.05) had a positive and significant relationship with employee life satisfaction, while grit did not (r = 0.009, p> 0.05). The analysis also showed that career adaptation (β = 0.433, p <0.05) had a stronger role than grit personality (β = -0.157, p> 0.05) in predicting employee life satisfaction."

"Kebijakan reformasi birokrasi pada instansi pemerintahan mendorong pegawai ASN pada level eselon tiga ke bawah untuk segera melakukan peralihan jabatan menuju jabatan fungsional. Tidak terkecuali Instansi X, yang saat ini sedang didorong untuk memenuhi target proporsi 60% pejabat fungsional hanya dalam kurun waktu satu tahun. Target ini idealnya hanya dapat dicapai apabila karyawan secara proaktif menunjukkan perilaku keterlibatan karier. Berdasarkan studi awal yang dilakukan, salah satu hambatan yang dihadapi pegawai ASN di Instansi X adalah keterbatasan informasi terkait kebijakan, pola karier, dan proses peralihan jabatan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini hendak meneliti pengaruh kualitas informasi karier di organisasi terhadap perilaku keterlibatan karier pegawai ASN. Variabel kejelasan karier dipilih sebagai variabel mediator sejalan dengan teori proses pencarian informasi. Penelitian ini melibatkan sampel penelitian sebanyak 211 pegawai ASN level eselon 3,4, ataupun 5 yang belum berstatus jabatan fungsional. Uji mediasi dilakukan menggunakan metode statistik regresi menggunakan macro PROCESS oleh Hayes pada aplikasi SPSS. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa hubungan langsung antara variabel persepsi akan kualitas informasi dengan perilaku keterlibatan karier tidak signifikan (β=0.02, p>.05). Meskipun demikian, hubungan tidak langsung antara keduanya melalui mediator kejelasan karier terbukti signifikan (β=0.28, p<.05), begitupun dengan hubungan total antara kedua variabel (β=0.30, p<.05). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel kejelasan karier memediasi penuh hubungan antara persepsi akan kualitas informasi karier dan perilaku keterlibatan karier.

National bureaucratic reform policies that apply to government agencies compel echelon III, IV, and V civil service workers to transfer into functional positions. Institution X is no exception. In fact, Institution X was expected to fulfill the 60% functional position proportion target merely in a span of one year. To achieve this target, it was essential for civil servants at Institution X to proactively engage in their own career development. However, based on the preliminary study conducted, information inadequacy regarding the organization’s career policy was considered as one main obstacle during the position transfer process. This study was then conducted to examine the effect of perceived career-related information quality on civil servants’ career engagement. Career clarity was chosen as mediator variable between the two based on the information search process theory. 211 Institution X’s echelon III, IV, and V civil servants who have not held functional positions were recruited as participants of the study. Mediation analysis was performed using regression statistical method using macro PROCESS by Hayes in SPSS. The result showed that the direct effect between perceived information quality and career engagement is not significant (β=0.02, p>.05). However, indirect effect between the two is found significant (β=0.28, p<.05), along with the total effect (β=0.30, p<.05). In summary, career clarity fully mediated the relationship between perceived career-related information quality and career engagement."

"Persaingan antar perusahaan yang semakin meningkat mengharuskan setiap organisasi/perusahaan untuk memiliki anggota dengan kinerja yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh dari kedua dimensi orientasi karier protean yaitu self-directed dan values-driven terhadap kinerja in-role karyawan di organisasi.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan alat ukur Protean Career Attitudes Scale untuk mengukur orientasi karier protean dan Job Performance Scale in-role performance untuk mengukur kinerja. Penelitian dilakukan kepada 172 partisipan yang berasal dari berbagai sektor kerja.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dimensi self-directed pada orientasi karier protean berkontribusi sebesar 16 dan dimensi values-driven berkontribusi sebesar 3 dalam menjelaskan kinerja individu.

The increase of competitiveness among companies forces orgnization to have employees with high performance. The aim of this study is to examine the influence of self directed and values driven as dimensions of protean career orientation toward employees rsquo in role performance in organization.
This quantitative study using Protean Career Attitudes Scale to measure self directed and values driven and also Job Performance Scale to measure in role performance. This study was conducted on 172 participants from various organizations and companies.
Results indicate that both dimensions have significant influence. Self directed contributes 16 while values driven only contributes 3 of in role performance.

"Tesis ini membahas pengaruh sumber-sumber efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier dan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier terhadap adaptabilitas karier remaja. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain analisis jalur menggunakan teknik analisis regresi dengan melibatkan 305 partisipan dari dua universitas swasta di Jakarta Barat. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa sumber-sumber efikasi diri memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier, efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap adaptabilitas karier remaja, sumber-sumber efikasi diri memengaruhi adaptabilitas karier melalui efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier. Juga ditemukan bahwa tiga dari lima sumber efikasi diri, yakni verbal and social persuasion, mastery experiences dan positive emotional arousal memengaruhi adaptabilitas karier, sementara dua sumber lainnya, yakni vicarious learning dan negative emotional arousal tidak memberikan pengaruh signifikan.

The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of sources of self-eficacy and career decision making self-efficacy to adolescence career adaptability. This is a quantitative research with a path analysis and simple regression techniques using 305 participants from two private universities in West Jakarta, Indonesia. The result showed a significant influence of sources of self-efficacy to career decision making self-efficacy, significant influence of career decision making self-efficacy to career adaptability, significant influence of self-efficacy to career adaptability through career decision making self-efficacy. The result also showed that only three among five sources of self-efficacy that have a significant influence to career adaptability : verbal and social persuasion, mastery experiences and positive emotional arousal, meanwhile two other sources: vicarious learning and negative emotional arousal did not have any significant influence. "

"Hal-hal seperti globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi, telah mengubah bagaimana organisasi dan para pekerja melihat pengelolaan karier. Sebelumnya, tanggung jawab pengelolaan karier pekerja berada pada tangan organisasi, namun telah terjadi pergeseran dimana sekarang para pekerja lebih bertanggung jawab atas kariernya masing-masing. Orientasi karier tersebut bernama orientasi karier protean. Individu dengan orientasi karier protean akan cenderung lebih proaktif dan rela untuk berkontribusi lebih kepada organisasi.
Penelitian ini ingin melihat apakah terdapat hubungan positif antara orientasi karier protean dan organizational citizenship behaviors OCB atau perilaku warga organisasi PWO. Penelitian ini menggunakan Protean Career Attitude Scale PCAS untuk mengukur orientasi karier protean berdasarkan kedua dimensinya, yaitu self-directed dan values-driven, serta menggunakan alat ukur yang dikembangkan oleh Williams dan Anderson 1991 untuk mengukur PWO berdasarkan dimensinya PWO-I PWO-O. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini merupakan 101 karyawan yang bekerja di sektor industri/manufaktur.
Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara self-directed dan PWO-I r = .26, p = .004, one tail, serta PWO-O r = .23, p = .011, one tail. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan hubungan negatif antara values-driven dan PWO-O r = -.17, p = .043, one tail, tetapi tidak ditemukan hubungan dengan PWO-I.

Things like globalization and rapid technology development has changed the way organizations and workers see career management. Before, the organization was responsible for its workers career management, however there has been a shift, where now the workers themselves are more responsible for their own careers. This career orientation is called protean career orientation. Individuals with protean career orientation are more proactive and willing to contribute more to the organization.
This research aims to see if there is a positive relationship between protean career orientation and organizational citizenship behaviors OCB. This research uses Protean Career Attitude Scale PCAS to measure the protean career orientation, based on its two dimensions, which is self directed and values driven, and also uses an instrument developed by Williams and Anderson 1991 to measure OCB by its dimension OCB I OCB O. The participants of this research consist of 101 workers who works in the manufacturing industry.
Results from this research shows that there is a positive correlation between self directed and OCB I r .26, p .004, one tail, and also OCB O r .23, p .011, one tail. The results also found a negative relationship between values driven and OCB O r .17, p .043, one tail, but no correlation was found with OCB I.

"Dalam penelitian kuantitatif ini, peneliti bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh off-campus internship efficacy (OCIE) dan career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) sebagai variabel mediasi pada pengaruh learning motivation (LM) terhadap career preparation behavior (CPB) dalam konteks mahasiswa S1 angkatan 2019 di Universitas Indonesia. Penelitian ini mengacu pada metode Maximum Likelihood dalam menentukan besarnya sampel, yang mana jumlah sampel penelitian minimal 5 kali dari jumlah indikator. Dengan demikian, target jumlah sampel untuk penelitian ini adalah 285 mahasiswa. Peneliti melakukan penyebaran kuesioner secara daring yang terdiri dari pertanyaan terstruktur (structured question) yang dapat diisi secara mandiri oleh responden (self-administered questionnaire). Sebanyak 356 data responden terkumpulkan setelah penyebaran kuesioner secara daring dilakukan. Temuan analisis kausal menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh LM ke OCIE merupakan pengaruh terkuat di antara variabel yang lain. Sedangkan, temuan analisis mediasi menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh OCIE sebagai variabel mediasi antara pengaruh LM dan CDSE merupakan pengaruh variabel mediasi terkuat di antara variabel mediasi lain. Penelitian ini memiliki kontribusi teoritis berupa pengaruh LM, OCIE, dan CDSE terhadap CPB, serta kontribusi praktis berupa informasi bagi Universitas Indonesia untuk pengelolaan CPB mahasiswa akhir sebelum memasuki dunia kerja sesungguhnya.

In this quantitative study, researchers aimed to prove the effect of off-campus internship efficacy (OCIE) and career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) as mediating variables on the effect of learning motivation (LM) on career preparation behavior (CPB) in the context of undergraduate students in the class of 2019 at the University of Indonesia. This study refers to the Maximum Likelihood method in determining sample size, in which the number of research samples is at least 5 times the number of indicators. Thus, the target number of samples for this research is 285 students. The researcher distributed questionnaires online, which consisted of structured questions that could be filled in independently by respondents (self-administered questionnaire). As many as 356 respondent data were collected after distributing the online questionnaires. The findings of the causal analysis show that the effect of LM on OCIE is the strongest among the other variables. Meanwhile, the findings of the mediation analysis show that the effect of OCIE as a mediating variable between the effects of LM and CDSE is the strongest mediating variable among other mediating variables. This research has a theoretical contribution in the form of the influence of LM, OCIE, and CDSE on CPB, as well as a practical contribution in the form of information for the University of Indonesia for the management of final student CPB before entering the real world of work."

"Berbagai perubahan terjadi akibat dampak dari pandemi COVID-19 yang menuntut mahasiswa agar dapat lebih adaptif dalam mempersiapkan diri untuk bisa melakukan transisi karier yang baik dengan mengikuti program magang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dengan melibatkan sebanyak 189 mahasiswa usia 18-25 (M = 21,49, SD = 0,835) yang berasal dari perguruan tinggi di Indonesia yang mengikuti program magang. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat ukur Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) oleh Savickas dan Porfeli (2012) dan Vocational Identity Scale Assessment (VISA) oleh Porfeli et al. (2011). Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa identitas vokasional memiliki peran secara signifikan pada adaptabilitas karier (F(6,189)= 20,402, p = 0,000, R2= 0,402). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa untuk memiliki adaptabilitas karier yang baik, perlu bagi mahasiswa untuk memiliki identitas vokasional yang baik pula. Meski demikian, jika dilihat dari setiap dimensi identitas vokasional, hanya terdapat tiga sub-dimensi yang berperan pada adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa yaitu exploration in-depth, career commitment making, dan commitment flexibility. Limitasi serta saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya dijelaskan dalam penelitian ini.

Various changes have occurred as a result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which demands that students be more adaptive in preparing themselves for a successful career transition by participating in internship programs. This research is a quantitative study that uses multiple regression analysis involving 189 final-year students aged 18-25 (M = 21.49, SD = 0.835) from universities in Indonesia who participated in an internship program. The data collection process was carried out using the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) from Savickas and Porfeli (2012) and Vocational Identity Scale Assessment (VISA) from Porfeli et al. (2011). The results of the study revealed that vocational identity had a significant role in career adaptability among undergraduate students who have or have been participating in internship programs (F(6,189) = 20.402, p = 0.000 , R2 = 0.402). These results show that in order to have good career adaptability, it is necessary for students to have a good vocational identity as well. However, if we look at each vocational identity dimension, there are only three sub dimensions that play a role in student career adaptability, namely in-depth exploration, making career commitments, and commitment flexibility.
