"Penelitian dilakukan untuk melihat peran dari childhood emotional maltreatment dan psychological mindedness terhadap college emotional adjustment. Penelitian merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, korelasional, dengan convenience sampling. Partisipan dari penelitian merupakan 335 mahasiswa sarjana yang berkuliah di perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Student Adjustment to College Questionnaires (1984), Childhood Trauma Questionnaire Short Form (1994), dan Balanced Index of Psychological Mindedness (2009). Data diolah menggunakan analisis korelasi dan analisis multiple regression. Hasil analisis menemukan hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara childhood emotional maltreatment dengan college emotional adjustment, dan hubungan positif yang signifikan antara psychological mindedness dengan college emotional adjustment. Childhood emotional maltreatment dan psychological mindedness juga ditemukan sebagai prediktor dari college emotional adjustment.
The study was conducted to see the role of childhood emotional maltreatment and psychological mindedness on college emotional adjustments. This is a quantitative, correlational study with convenience sampling. Participants in this study are 335 undergraduate students studying at universities in Indonesia. The measuring instruments used are Student Adjustment to College Questionnaires (1984), Childhood Trauma Questionnaire Short Form (1994), and Balanced Index of Psychological Mindedness (2009). The data were analysed using correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. Results showed that there are significant relationships between childhood emotional maltreatment and college emotional adjustment, and significant relationship between psychological mindedness and college emotional adjustment. Childhood emotional maltreatment and psychological mindedness were found to be significant predictors of college emotional adjustment."

"Pengalaman childhood emotional maltreatment dan self-compassion memiliki dampak pada kepuasan individu dalam hubungan romantisnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat peran dari childhood emotional maltreatment dan self-compassion terhadap kepuasan dalam hubungan romantis pada individu yang berada pada tahap dewasa awal. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dan korelasional dengan tipe convenience sampling. Partisipan dalam penelitian merupakan 92 laki-laki dan 385 perempuan berusia 18-25 tahun di Indonesia yang sedang menjalani hubungan romantis. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Childhood Trauma Questionnaire-Short Form (1994), Relationship Assessment Scale (1988), dan Self-Compassion Scale (2003). Hasil analisis regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa childhood emotional maltreatment dan self-compassion memiliki hubungan yang positif dan dapat memprediksi kepuasan dalam hubungan romantis pada dewasa awal (F(2,474) = 17,46, p <0,01, R2 = 0,069). Hal tersebut dapat menjadi pertimbangan bagi instiusi terkait untuk melakukan psikoedukasi mengenai bahaya dan dampak negatif yang disebabkan oleh childhood emotional maltreatment serta pentingnya mengembangkan self-compassion yang memiliki dampak positif pada kepuasan hubungan romantis individu.
Childhood emotional maltreatment experiences and self-compassion in children have an impact on their romantic relationship satisfaction when entering the emerging adulthood phase. This study was conducted to examine the role of childhood emotional maltreatment and self-compassion in romantic relationship satisfaction among emerging adults. This study uses quantitative and correlational research methods with convenience sampling type. Participants of the study consist of 92 men and 385 women, age 18-25 years old in Indonesia who are currently in romantic relationship. The instruments used in the study are Childhood Trauma Questionnaire-Short Form (1994), Relationship Assessment Scale (1988), and Self-Compassion Scale (2003). The result of multiple regression indicates that childhood emotional maltreatment and self- compassion fully have a positive relationship and can predict romantic relationship satisfaction of emerging adul (F(2,474) = 17,46, p <0,01, R2 = 0,069). This can be a consideration for related institutions to conduct psychoeducation about the dangers and negative impacts caused by childhood emotional maltreatment and the importance of developing self-compassion that has a positive impact on individual romantic relationships."

ABSTRAKThis research examined whether Emotional Intelligence influences the cross-cultural adjustment of international students. The study involving 102 people from different cultural and educational background who are currently studying abroad shows that there is a positive effect between the relationship. Furthermore, to see the moderation effect of culture shock, some symptoms of depression and confusion in adjustment phase were asked and analyzed. It is found that the symptoms negatively affect the correlation between emotional intelligence and the cross-cultural adjustment. Moreover, the effect of nationality and gender are also investigated to see the differences in level of Emotional Intelligence. Implication and limitation of this study also will be discussed.
ABSTRAKKarya tulis ini meneliti bagaimana kecerdasan emosional seseora berdampak dalam proses adaptasi lintas budaya pada mahasiswa internasional. Studi yang melibatkan 102 mahasiswa dari berbagai latar belakang budaya dan level edukasi yang berbeda ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya efek positif dalam hubungan dua variabel. Selanjutnya, untuk memeriksa efek moderasi dari kejutan budaya (culture shock), beberapa tanda depresi dan kebingungan yang terjadi dalam fase adaptasi juga ditanyakan dan dianalisa oleh peneliti. Ditemukan bahwa tanda-tanda tersebut berdampak negatif pada korelasi antara kecerdasan emosional dan adaptasi lintas budaya. Selain itu, pengaruh dari kewarganegaraan dan gender juga diselidiki untuk melihat perbedaan level pada kecerdasan emosional. Karya tulis ini juga akan membahas implikasi dan limitasi."

"Regulasi emosi merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang diperlukan untuk mencegah masalah dalam aspek sosial emosional anak seperti perilaku internalizing dan externalizing. Usia prasekolah merupakan masa yang kritikal untuk mengembangkan regulasi emosi yang optimal. Orang tua memiliki peranan penting dalam perkembangan regulasi emosi anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah kualitas hubungan orang tua-anak dapat memprediksi regulasi emosi anak usia prasekolah. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 133 partisipan orang tua dengan anak usia prasekolah (3-6 tahun) di Indonesia. Pengukuran regulasi emosi anak dilakukan menggunakan alat ukur Emotion Regulation Checklist (ERC), sementara pengukuran kualitas hubungan orang tua-anak dilakukan menggunakan alat ukur Child-Parent Relationship Scale (CPRS). Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan analisis regresi linear. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas hubungan orang tua-anak secara signifikan memprediksi regulasi emosi anak usia prasekolah.
Emotion regulation is one of the skills needed to prevent problems in children’s socio-emotional aspects such as internalizing and externalizing behavior. Preschool is considered to be a critical period for the optimal emotional regulation development. Parents have an important role in the development of children's emotional regulation. This study aims to see whether the quality of parent-child relationship can predict the emotional regulation of preschoolers. There were 133 Indonesian parents of 3-6 years old children involved in the study. Children's emotion regulation was measured using the Emotion Regulation Checklist (ERC), and the quality of the parent-child relationship was measured using the Child-Parent Relationship Scale (CPRS). Data processing is done by linear regression analysis. The results showed that the quality of the parent-child relationship significantly predicted the emotional regulation of preschoolers. It was also shown that both conflict and closeness significantly predicted emotion regulation of preschoolers."

"Tingkat work engagement(keterikatan kerja) karyawan dapat mempengaruhi ketahanan suatu organisasi di tengah persaingan bisnis. Namun karyawan perbankan kerap kali dihadapkan pada tingkat partisipasi konsumen, jam kerja yang kaku, dan cakupan target konsumen yang dapat mempengaruhi tingkat keterikatan kerja dari karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran dari emotional intelligence, perceived organizational support, dan ethical leadership, terhadap keterikatan kerja karyawan perbankan melalui mediasi dari psychological capital. Sampel yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian adalah 297 karyawan bank umum konvensional di Indonesia. Hasil analisis structural equation modeling (SEM) memperlihatkan bahwa emotional intelligence, perceived organizational support, ethical leadership, dan psychological capital dapat mempengaruhi work engagement. Psychological capital menunjukkan peran mediasi secara parsial terhadap pengaruh dari emotional intelligence, perceived organizational support dan ethical leadership terhadap work engagement. Pemahaman yang lebih mendalam terhadap emotional intelligence, perceived organizational support, ethical leadership, dan psychological capital sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan work engagement dapat membantu sektor perbankan untuk mempertahankan karyawan, meningkatkan kinerja karyawan serta organisasi, dan mempertahankan keunggulan kompetitif organisasi di tengah ketatnya persaingan antar perbankan di Indonesia.
The level of employee work engagement can affect an organization's resilience amid business competition. However, banking employees are often faced with the level of consumer participation, rigid working hours, and the range of target consumers that can affect the level of work engagement of employees. This study aims to determine the role of emotional intelligence, perceived organizational support, and ethical leadership on banking employee engagement through mediation from psychological capital. The samples involved in the study were 297 employees of conventional commercial banks in Indonesia. The structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis shows that emotional intelligence, perceived organizational support, ethical leadership, and psychological capital can affect work engagement. Psychological capital shows a mediating role partially in the effect of emotional intelligence, perceived organizational support and ethical leadership on work engagement. A deeper understanding of emotional intelligence, ethical leadership, and psychological capital to increase work engagement can help the banking sector retain employees, improve employee and organizational performance, and maintain an organizational competitive advantage amid intense competition between banks in Indonesia."

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran resiliensi dan masing-masing dimensinya, yakni kompetensi personal serta penerimaan diri dan hidup, dalam memprediksi penyesuaian diri di perguruan tinggi pada mahasiswa baru. Studi kuantitatif dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa baru dalam rentang usia 18-20 tahun dari berbagai universitas di Indonesia (N = 130). Hasil analisis regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa dimensi kompetensi personal serta dimensi penerimaan diri dan hidup dapat memprediksi penyesuaian diri di perguruan tinggi, dengan dimensi penerimaan diri dan hidup sebagai prediktor yang paling signifikan atas penyesuaian diri di perguruan tinggi. Institusi pendidikan perguruan tinggi dapat mempertimbangkan aktivitas yang dapat membangun resiliensi pada individu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penyesuaian diri di perguruan tinggi pada mahasiswa baru.
During the first year of college, college freshmen must adapt to many novel academic, social, and emotional challenges. The goal of this study is to examine the role of resilience and its dimensions, which are personal competence and acceptance of self and life, as a predictor for college adjustment among college freshmen. A quantitative study was conducted on college freshmen aged between 18-20 years old across universities in Indonesia (N = 130). Based on our findings, personal competence and acceptance of self and life simultaneously and significantly predicted college adjustment, with acceptance of self and life as the most significant predictor of college adjustment. Higher education institutions need to consider developing certain activities that can build resilience in individuals to improve college adjustment among college freshmen. "

"Transisi dan penyesuaian dari SMA ke Perguruan Tinggi (PT) merupakan proses yang cukup sulit dan menantang bagi hampir semua orang di tahun pertama kuliah. Dalam masa adaptasinya, tantangan yang dihadapi mahasiswa di tahun pertama memiliki kemungkinan potensi risiko kesehatan mental yang buruk, seperti kesepian, kurangnya aktivitas sosial, dan merasa harga diri yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara penyesuaian diri di perguruan tinggi dan distres psikologis pada mahasiswa baru di Indonesia. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester satu program sarjana di perguruan tinggi di Indonesia yang berusia 18-21 tahun (N = 137). Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk mengukur penyesuaian diri adalah College Adaptation Questionnaire (CAQ) dari O’Donnell (2018) dan Hopkins Symptom Checklist-25 (HSCL-25) untuk mengukur distres psikologis yang telah diadaptasi oleh Turnip dan Hauff (2007). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara penyesuaian diri dan distres psikologis (r=-0.311, p<0.01). Artinya, semakin tinggi penyesuaian diri di perguruan tinggi, maka semakin rendah distres psikologis pada mahasiswa baru dan begitupun sebaliknya. Hasil penelitian, diharapkan menjadi bahan rujukan bagi perguruan tinggi dalam upaya pembuatan kebijakan preventif untuk mencegah meningkatnya distres psikologis pada mahasiswa baru.
Transitioning from high school to university is challenging for most individuals in their first year of college. During this period of adaptation, first-year students face challenges that potentially risk their mental health, manifesting as feelings of loneliness, a lack of social activities, and low self-esteem. This study explored the relationship between college adjustment and psychological distress among Indonesian first-year students. The participants were first-semester undergraduate students at universities in Indonesia, aged between 18-21 years old (N = 137). The College Adaptation Questionnaire (CAQ) from O’Donnell (2018) was used to measure college adjustment, while the Hopkins Symptom Checklist-25 (HSCL-25), adapted by Turnip and Hauff (2007), was used to measure psychological distress. The results showed a significant negative relationship between college-adjustment and psychological distress (r = -0.311, p <0.01). suggesting that the higher the levels of college adjustment, the lower the psychological distress in new students and vice versa. The study results are expected to reference universities' preventive policy-making efforts to prevent increased psychological distress in first-year undergraduate students."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara ciri-ciri kecerdasan emosional dengan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir. Mahasiswa tingkat akhir sebagai individu yang berada pada tahap dewasa muda memiliki kebutuhan untuk memutuskan karir. Pengambilan keputusan karir membutuhkan pertimbangan yang kompleks. Pertimbangan yang kompleks membuat proses pengambilan keputusan karir menjadi sulit bagi beberapa mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Pengukuran kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir menggunakan Career Decision Making Failure Questionnaire (CDDQ) yang disusun oleh Gati et al (1996) dan untuk mengukur ciri-ciri kecerdasan emosional menggunakan alat ukur Trait Emotional Intelligence Questinnaire (TEIQue) yang disusun oleh Petrides & Furnham (2003) . Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 123 mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Indonesia. Data penelitian diolah menggunakan teknik product moment Pearson menggunakan software SPSS edisi 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan negatif antara ciri kecerdasan emosional dengan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir. Dengan demikian, semakin baik sifat kecerdasan emosional yang dimiliki mahasiswa tingkat akhir, maka semakin mudah atau rendah kesulitan yang dihadapi mahasiswa tingkat akhir, begitu pula sebaliknya.
This study aims to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence traits and career decision making difficulties. Final year students as individuals who are in the young adult stage have a need to decide on a career. Career decision making requires complex judgment. Complex considerations make the career decision-making process difficult for some final year students. Measurement of career decision making difficulties using the Career Decision Making Failure Questionnaire (CDDQ) compiled by Gati et al (1996) and to measure emotional intelligence characteristics using the Trait Emotional Intelligence Questinnaire (TEIQue) measuring instrument compiled by Petrides & Furnham (2003) . This research was conducted on 123 final year students of the University of Indonesia. The research data was processed using Pearson's product moment technique using SPSS software edition 22. The results showed that there was a significant and negative relationship between the characteristics of emotional intelligence and the difficulty of making career decisions. Thus, the better the nature of emotional intelligence possessed by final year students, the easier or lower the difficulties faced by final year students, and vice versa."
