"Semakin berkembangnya jaman, persaingan yang ada juga kian meningkat, begitupula dengan pertumbuhan kosmetik di Indonesia. Dengan maraknya pertumbuhan industri kosmetik di Indonesia, diharapkan perusahaan dapat memiliki strategi-strategi yang tepat untuk bisa mendominasi pasar. Media sosial dapat menawarkan cara baru untuk perusahaan dan pelanggan untuk saling berkomunikasi satu sama lain. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh firm-created dan user-generated social media communication terhadap brand awareness / association, brand loyalty, dan perceived quality produk lisptick, bedak padat, dan foundation merek Wardah di DKI Jakarta. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode survei berdasarkan purposive sampling. Data diolah menggunakan SPSS dan SmartPLS melalui analisis statistik deskriptif dan SEM. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa firm-created dan user-generated social media communication berpengaruh positif terhadap brand awareness / association, brand loyalty, dan perceived quality produk lisptick, bedak padat, dan foundation merek Wardah di DKI Jakarta.

Along with the development of the era, the existing competition is also increasing, as well as the growth of cosmetics in Indonesia. With the rapid growth of the cosmetics industry in Indonesia, it is hoped that the company will have the right strategies to dominate the market. Social media can offer new ways for companies and customers to communicate with each other. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of firm-created and user-generated social media communications on brand awareness / association, brand loyalty, and perceived quality of product lipstick, compact powder, and foundation brand Wardah in DKI Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach through a survey method based on purposive sampling. The data obtained were processed using SPSS and SmartPLS through descriptive statistical analysis and SEM. The results of this study indicate that the firm-created and user-generated social media communications have a positive effect on brand awareness / association, brand loyalty, and perceived quality of product lipstick, compact powder, and foundation brand Wardah in DKI Jakarta."

"Tujuan utama dari skripsi ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh komunikasi akun media sosial, khusunya Instagram terhadap brand loyalty dengan pengaruh mediasi dari brand trust dan brand equity. Komunikasi akun media sosial Instagram yang dimaksud adalah komunikasi yang dihasilkan oleh akun produk kosmetik MAKE OVER (makeoverid) atau firm-created social media communication (FCSMC) dan akun pengguna Instagram lainnya atau bisa disebut user-generated social media communication (UGSMC). Data dari penelitian ini dikumpulkan dari kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada follower Instagram makeoverid dan diolah dengan software IBM SPSS 24 Statistics untuk pretest, serta LISREL 8.51 untuk main test.
Penemuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa FCSMC dan UGSMC tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap brand loyalty, dan tidak berpengaruh terhadap brand equity, namun FCMSC dan UGSMC berpengaruh terhadap brand trust. Untuk efek mediasinya, brand equity dapat memediasi hubungan antara FCSMC dan UGSMC dengan brand loyalty, serta hubungan antara brand trust dengan brand loyalty, namun brand trust tidak dapat memediasi hubungan antara FCSMC dan UGSMC dengan brand loyalty.

The main objective of this paper is to determine the influence of communication made on social media account, especially Instagram on brand loyalty with the mediating influence of brand trust and brand equity. The communication itself is the communication produced by MAKE OVERs Instagram account (makeoverid) or firm-created social media communication (FCSMC) and other Instagram users accounts or called user-generated social media communication (UGSMC). Data from this study was collected from a questionnaire distributed to Makeoverids Instagram followers and processed with IBM SPSS 24 Statistics software for the pretest, and LISREL 8.51 for main test.
The findings of this study indicate that FCSMC and UGSMC do not significantly influence brand loyalty, and do not affect brand equity, but FCMSC and UGSMC significantly influence brand trust. For its mediating effect, brand equity can mediate the influence between FCSMC and UGSMC with brand loyalty, and the influence between brand trust and brand loyalty, but brand trust cannot mediate the influence between FCSMC and UGSMC with brand loyalty.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh firm created dan user generated content sosial media terhadap brand equity pada salah satu industri yang tengah berkembang di Indonesia yakni industri smartphone. Data pada penelitian ini didapat dari penyebaran kuesioner secara online kepada pengguna smartphone OPPO yang telah menggunakan merek tersebut minimal 1 (satu) tahun terakhir dan aktif mengakses sosial media terkait merek OPPO dalam kurun waktu 6 (enam) bulan terakhir. Data ini diolah dengan menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modelling (SEM).
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa firm created berpengaruh positif terhadap keseluruhan komponen brand equity yang terdiri dari brand awareness, brand loyalty dan perceived quality. Sedangkan user generated content hanya berpengaruh positif terhadap brand awareness. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan brand awareness tidak memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap brand loyalty maupun perceived quality.

This research aims to analyzes The Effect of Firm Created and User Generated Content Social Media towards Brand Equity in one of emerging industry in Indonesia, smartphone industry. Data for this research were collected through online questionairre to OPPO consumers who have been using this brand for at least 1 (one) year and actively access social media about OPPO in the last 6 (six) months. They were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) method.
The result of this research shows that firm created have a positive effect on all components of brand equity including brand awareness, brand loyalty and perceived quality. Meanwhile, user generated content only has a positive effect on brand awareness. The result of this research also shows that brand awareness doesn?t effect brand loyalty and perceived quality.

"Dewasa ini, User Generated Content (UGC) merupakan salah satu media utama bagi konsumen untuk membangun keterikatan dengan merek (customer brand engagement) dengan mengaitkan nilai fungsional dan nilai emosional yang dirasakan pengguna UGC. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti content quality, design quality, dan technology quality UGC yang dapat mempengaruhi keterikatan konsumen dengan merek (customer brand engagement), melalui nilai fungsional dan emosional sebagai mediator pada hubungan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan model yang terdapat pada teori Stimulus-Organisme-Respons (S-O-R). Responden pada penelitian ini merupakan generasi Z dan milenial berusia 18-41 tahun, memiliki akun media sosial Youtube, Instagram, dan/atau Tiktok, serta pernah melihat UGC selama satu bulan terakhir. Kuesioner disebarkan secara online. Data sebanyak 286 responden yang terdapat pada penelitian utama diolah dengan menggunakan metode Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara umum, nilai fungsional dan emosional memiliki peran sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara kualitas UGC dan keterikatan konsumen dengan merek (customer brand engagement). Secara lebih lanjut, ditemukan bahwa content quality mampu memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keterikatan konsumen dengan merek (customer brand engagement) dengan bantuan nilai fungsional dan nilai emosional sebagai mediator. Kemudian, technology quality dapat memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keterikatan konsumen dengan merek (customer brand engagement) dengan bantuan nilai emosional dan design quality dapat memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keterikatan konsumen dengan merek (customer brand engagement) dengan bantuan nilai emosional.

Nowadays, User Generated Content (UGC) is one of the main media for consumers to build brand engagement by linking the functional value and emotional value felt by UGC users. The purpose of this study is to examine the content quality, design quality, and technology quality of UGC that can affect consumer brand engagement, through functional and emotional values as mediators in the relationship. This study uses the model contained in the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theory. Respondents in this study were Generation Z and millennials aged 18-41 years, had social media accounts on Youtube, Instagram, and/or Tiktok, and had seen UGC for the past month. Questionnaires were distributed online. The data of 286 respondents in the main study was processed using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) method. The results of this study indicate that in general, functional and emotional values have a role as a mediator in the relationship between UGC quality and consumer brand engagement. "Media sosial telah meledak sebagai kategori wacana online dimana orang dapat membuat konten, membagi, memberi bookmark dan jaringan pada tingkat yang luar biasa. Meskipun menciptakan peluang besar, media sosial juga memberikan tantangan tersendiri bagi perusahaan. Khususnya berkaitan dengan user generated content. Media sosial, memungkinkan user menciptakan pengaruh positif dan negatif terhadap brand equity. Oleh karena itu banyak researcher menyarankan kepada marketer untuk ikut terlibat di media sosial dengan memanfaatkan firm created content dimana perusahaan dapat membuat dan mengontrol konten dan percakapan di media sosial.
Beberapa penelitian telah dilakukan terkait komunikasi media sosial dan manajemen merek. Namun terdapat kesenjangan literatur tentang isu dan tantangan yang dihadapi dalam menggunakan komunikasi media sosial terhadap ekuitas merek baik di industri maupun jenis media sosial yang digunakan. Selain itu, studi tentang firm created content dan user generated content terhadap brand equity sangat jarang ditemukan di Indonesia sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyoroti isu dan tantangan komunikasi media sosial baik itu firm genareted content maupun user generated content dalam meningkatkan brand equity dalam industry kosmetik Indonesia.

Social media has exploded as an online discourse category where people can create content, share, bookmark and network at an incredible rate. Despite creating great opportunities, social media also poses a challenge for the company. Specifically related to user generated content. Social media allows users to create positive and negative influences on brand equity. Therefore, many researchers advise marketers to get involved in social media by utilizing firm created content where companies can create and control content and conversations in social media.
Several studies have been conducted related to social media communication and brand management. However, there is a literature gap on issues and challenges faced in using social media communication to brand equity both in industry and the type of social media used. In addition, the study on firm created content and user generated content on brand equity is very rare in Indonesia so that this study aims to highlight issues and challenges of social media communication, both firm-based and content-generated content in enhancing brand equity in the Indonesian Kosmetik industry.

"Persaingan platform UGC di Indonesia membuat perusahaan mempertahankan bisnis mereka dengan meningkatkan dan mempertahankan loyalitas blogger. Loyalitas merek yang kuat diyakini mampu membuat konsumen membeli kembali dan menolak beralih ke merek lain. Loyalitas blogger seharusnya dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, seperti kesadaran merek, persepsi kualitas, asosiasi merek, dan keunikan merek.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki secara empiris faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi loyalitas merek blogger dengan memeriksa persepsi dan loyalitas blogger terhadap platform blog Kompasiana.com.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian menggunakan survei kuesioner online menargetkan 200 blogger yang menulis di Kompasiana.com dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif, korelasi dan regresi berganda yang akan mengenali korelasi antara faktor-faktornya.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kesadaran merek, persepsi kualitas, dan keunikan merek memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap loyalitas merek, sementara itu, asosiasi merek tidak memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap loyalitas merek kepada Kompasiana.com.
Hasilnya juga dapat direkomendasikan kepada perusahaan untuk merumuskan strategi untuk meningkatkan ekuitas merek mereka agar dapat bersaing untuk keberlanjutan bisnis, terutama pasar blogger di Indonesia.

The competition of the UGC platform in Indonesia makes companies maintain their business by increasing and retaining blogger loyalists. Strong brand loyalty is believed to be able to make consumers repurchase and resist switching to another brand. The bloggers` loyalty is supposed to be effected by many factors, such as brand awareness, perceived quality, and brand associations.
The purpose of this paper is to empirically investigate the factors affecting the blogger`s brand loyalty by examining bloggers perceptions and loyalty toward blog platform Kompasiana.com.
This paper proposes a research method using an online questionnaire survey targeting 200 bloggers who write in Kompasiana.com and analyzed using descriptive, correlation and multiple regression analysis that will recognize the correlation between its factors.
The results of this study show that brand awareness, perceived quality, and brand uniqueness has a significant positive effect on brand loyalty, meanwhile, brand associations doesn`t have a significant positive effect on brand loyalty to Kompasiana.com.
The results can also be recommended to companies to formulate strategies to increase their brand equity in order to compete for business sustainability, especially the blogger market in Indonesia.

"Pada masa revolusi industri 4.0, media sosial telah menjadi salah satu alat dalam aktivitas pemasaran yang dilakukan oleh bisnis untuk menarik konsumen agar tetap membeli produknya. Dengan demikian, menjadi suatu hal yang penting bagi bisnis untuk menggunakan media sosial untuk menciptakan sebuah loyalitas merek. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perceived social media marketing activities terhadap brand loyalty dengan brand consciousness dan brand consciousness sebagai mediasi pada Konsumen Erigo Apparel yang bertempat tinggal di Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksplanatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 150 responden dengan teknik non probability sampling berupa purposive sampling. Dalam hal ini, analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial dengan menggunakan uji sobel dan analisis regresi menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara social media marketing activities terhadap brand loyalty, social media marketing activities terhadap brand consciousness, brand consciousness terhadap brand loyalty, social media marketing activities terhadap value consciousness, value consciousness terhadap brand loyalty, dan brand consciousness memediasi pengaruh antara social media marketing activities terhadap brand loyalty, serta value consciousness tidak memediasi pengaruh antara social media marketing activities terhadap brand loyalty pada konsumen Erigo Apparel yang bertempat tinggal di Jakarta.

In the industrial revolution 4.0, social media has become one of the tools in marketing activities carried out by businesses to attract consumers to keep buying their products. Thus, it is important for businesses using social media to create brand loyalty. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the effect of perceived social media marketing activities on brand loyalty with brand consciousness and brand consciousness as mediation to Erigo Apparel consumers who live in Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of explanatory research. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 150 respondents using a non-probability sampling technique in the form of purposive sampling. In this case, the data analysis used is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using Sobel test and regression analysis using SPSS. The results show that there is an influence between social media marketing activities on brand loyalty, social media marketing activities on brand consciousness, brand consciousness on brand loyalty, social media marketing activities on value consciousness, value consciousness on brand loyalty, and brand consciousness mediating the influence between social media marketing activities on brand loyalty, and value consciousness do not mediate the effect of social media marketing activities on brand loyalty on Erigo Apparel consumers who live in Jakarta."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Emotional Branding terhadap loyalitas merek Dove studi pada konsumen perempuan di Media Sosial Youtube. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalis dimensi emosional branding mana yang paling berpengaruh terhadap Brand Loyalty. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan pemilihan subjek dilakukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 100 responden dengan kriteria konsumen perempuan yang pernah menggunakan produk perawatan tubuh Dove dalam satu tahun terakhir minimal dua kali dan pernah melihat marketing campaign Dove di Youtube. Teknik pengumpulan data survei dengan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa variabel emotioanal branding berpengaruh signifikan terhadap loyalitas merek konsumen. Secara parsial, hanya dimensi relationship, association, dan uniqueness yang berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap brand loyalty.

This study aims to analyze the effect of Emotional Branding on brand loyalty Dove studies on female consumers in Social Media Youtube. This study also aims to analyze the emotional dimension of branding that most influential on Brand Loyalty. This research uses quantitative approach and subject selection is done using purposive sampling technique. Respondents in this study amounted to 100 respondents with the criteria of female consumers who have used Dove body care products in the past year at least twice and have seen Dove marketing campaign on Youtube. The technique of collecting survey data using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the variable emotional branding significant effect on consumer brand loyalty. Partially, only the dimensions of relationship, association, and uniqueness have a significant effect on brand loyalty."

"Pemasaran yang dilakukan melalui media sosial (social media marketing) telah banyak dimanfaatkan di era digital. Salah satu keuntungan dalam melakukan social media marketing adalah bisnis dapat mengenalkan merek (brand) kepada khalayak. Beberapa penelitian terdahulu juga telah membuktikan bahwa social media marketing memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap brand awareness dan brand image. Tesis ini menguji pengaruh social media marketing (pemasaran media sosial) terhadap brand awareness (kesadaran merek) dan brand image (citra merek) pada HuntStreet.com, bisnis yang bergerak di bidang sustainable fashion. Dimana HuntStreet.com aktif melakukan pemasaran di media sosial instagram, youtube, dan facebook. Namun respon khalayak dapat dikatakan rendah, hal ini dilihat dari hasil penelusuran di search engine Google terkait HuntStreet.com yang masih sedikit dan rating beserta ulasan terkait HuntStreet.com di Google Review yang juga rendah. Hal ini bertolak belakang dari konsep social media marketing dan juga hasil penelitian terdahulu yang menunjukkan adanya pengaruh ketika melakukan pemasaran di media sosial terhadap brand awareness dan brand image dari merek tersebut. Menggunakan paradigma positivisme, penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan metode analisis jalur yang menguji empat hipotesis berupa pengaruh social media marketing terhadap brand awareness, brand awareness terhadap brand image, social media marketin terhadap brand image, dan social media marketing terhadap brand image melalui brand awareness. Variabel social media marketing dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 6 dimensi: entertainment, interaction, customization, electronic word of mouth (E-WOM), trendiness, dan advertisement. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ke-empat hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima, yakni social media marketing memiliki pengaruh  positif terhadap brand awareness, brand awareness memiliki pengaruh  positif terhadap brand image, social media marketing memiliki pengaruh  positif terhadap brand image, dan social media marketing memiliki pengaruh  positif terhadap adap brand image melalui brand awareness. Kesimpulan bahwa hasil penelitian sejalan dengan penelitian-penelitian terdahulu dan pemasaran yang dilakukan menggunakan media sosial dapat berpengaruh terhadap pengetahuan khalayak terhadap merek dan membangun citra merek.

Using social media to do marketing (social media marketing) has been widely used in the digital era. One of the advantages of doing social media marketing is that businesses can introduce the brand to audiences. Several previous studies have also proven that social media marketing has a positive influence on brand awareness and brand image. This thesis examines the effect of social media marketing on brand awareness and brand image at HuntStreet.com, a business engaged in sustainable fashion. HuntStreet.com is actively marketing on social media such as Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. However, audience response can be said to be low, this can be seen from the search results on the Google search engine related to HuntStreet.com which are still low and ratings and reviews related to HuntStreet.com on Google Reviews which are also low. This is contrary to the concept of social media marketing and also the results of previous studies which show that there is an influence when marketing on social media has on brand awareness and brand image of the brand. Using the positivism paradigm, this research is a quantitative study that uses path analysis methods that test four hypotheses in the form of the influence of social media marketing on brand awareness, brand awareness on brand image, social media marketing on brand image, and social media marketing on brand image through brand awareness. Social media marketing variable in this study use 6 dimensions: entertainment, interaction, customization, electronic word of mouth (E-WOM), trendiness, and advertisement. The results showed that the four alternative hypotheses (Ha) were accepted, namely social media marketing had a positive effect on brand awareness, brand awareness had a positive effect on brand image, social media marketing had a positive effect on brand image, and social media marketing had a positive influence positive attitude towards adapting brand image through brand awareness. The conclusion is that the results of this research are in line with previous studies and marketing carried out using social media can influence audience knowledge of brands and build brand images."

"Asian Games merupakan acara olahraga terbesar di Asia dan diselenggarakan setiap empat tahun sekali. Penelitian ini menjelaskan hubungan social media marketing activities terhadap pembentukan brand awareness, brand image, dan brand loyalty Asian Games 2018 selaku acara olahraga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan melakukan penyebaran kuesioner secara online yang berdasarkan teknik convenience sampling terhadap 400 responden. Berdasarkan analisis faktor yang telah dilakukan, social media marketing activities terbagi menjadi tujuh dimensi, yaitu pleasure of share, interaction, trendiness, customization, advertisement, information, dan word of mouth communication. Setelah dilakukan analisis linier, social media marketing activities terbukti dapat memprediksi brand awareness, brand image, dan brand loyalty secara signifikan. Dimensi yang berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap brand awareness adalah pleasure of share dan information, pleasure of share, customization dan information pada brand image, serta pleasure of share, information dan word of mouth communication pada brand loyalty. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa brand awareness memiliki hubungan dengan brand image yang secara bersama memiliki hubungan dengan brand loyalty.

The Asian Games is the biggest sporting event in Asia and is held every four years. This study explains the relationship of social media marketing activities to the formation of brand awareness, brand image, and brand loyalty of the 2018 Asian Games as a sports event. This research is a quantitative research by conducting online questionnaires that discuss convenience sampling techniques for 400 respondents. Based on the analysis of the factors that have been carried out, social media marketing activities are divided into seven dimensions, namely pleasure of share, interaction, trendiness, customization, advertising, information, and word of mouth communication. After linier analysis, social media marketing activities have been shown to significantly predict brand awareness, brand image, and brand loyalty. The dimensions that influence brand awareness are pleasure of share and information, pleasure of share customization, and information on brand image, as well as the pleasure of share, information, and word of mouth communication on brand loyalty.
