"Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, tingkat partisipasi para fans dalam fandom telah mencapai tingkat keterlibatan yang semakin tinggi. Karya fans yang berfokus pada slashing atau pada pasangan laki-laki telah sering menjadi subyek diskusi akademis karena dianggap sebagai wadah untuk mengeksplorasi konstruksi gender. Namun, hanya sedikit penelitian akademis yang dilakukan pada karya self-insert karena karya heterosexual diasumsikan tidakmemiliki potensi subversif yang sama seperti karya ‘slashing’. Penelitian ini akan berfokus pada karya self-insert dalam bentuk fan work baik dalam bentuk visual ataupun textual pada fandom anime pada khususnya, karena secara historis, fandom anime lebih dikenal sebagai fandom yang didominasi laki-laki. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan mengambil konsep dari gender performativity theory, penelitian ini akan membandingkan dan mengkaji protagonis wanita dalam karya self-insert di fandom anime dan bagaimana karya tersebut telah mengeksplorasi secara kreatif identitas gender dan seksual mereka sebagai bentuk perlawanan terhadap norma gender konvensional.

By using a qualitative approach to the study and

drawing on concepts from gender performativity theory, this paper will compare and examine the female protagonists in several chosen self-insert fan works in the anime fandom and how the female authors have creatively explored and played with their gendered and sexual identities as a form of resistance to conventional gendered discourses."

"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas konflik identitas tokoh utama yang disebabkan oleh konstruksi identitas seksual dalam film drama Une Nouvelle Amie. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis data yang diperoleh dari korpus berbentuk film. Hasil analisis melalui aspek naratif dan sinematografis menunjukkan perkembangan identitas seksual pada tokoh utama yang disebabkan oleh dorongan sosial di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bagaimana setiap tokoh dalam kehidupan seseorang dapat berpengaruh dalam perkembangan dan pergeseran identitas seksualnya.

ABSTRACTThe research discusses the inner conflict of the main character caused by the construction of her sexual identity in the drama film Une Nouvelle Amie. The qualitative research method is used to analyze data obtained from the corpus. The results of the analysis through the narrative and cinematographic aspects show the development of sexual identity in the main character caused by the surrounding social impulse. This research shows how each character in a person 39 s life can have an effect on the development and shiftment of his her sexual identity."

"Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana seseorang dapat melakukan peralihan identitas seksual didalam kehidupanya dengan penelitian tersebut kita dapat mengetahui faktor-faktor apa sajakah yang menyebabkan hal tersebut.  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian bersifat kualitatif dengan cara pengamatan calon informan yang akan diwawancarai secara mendalam apakah bersedia atau tidak untuk diwawancarai. Berdasarkan hasil temuan-temuan yang saya peroleh dari penelitian ini seseorang melakukan peralihan identitas seksual diakibatkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti keluarga, pertemanan dan ekonomi. Faktor keluarga biasanya dijadikan sebagai faktor utama dalam mempengaruhi identitas diri seseorang, namun nyatanya pertemanan juga sangat mempengaruhi terlebih saat seseorang menginjak masa puber, lalu keadaan lainnya karena pengaruh dari ekonomi. Ekonomi seseorang tidak selalu pada kondisi yang stabil sehingga ketiga faktor tersebut menjadi peralihan identitas seseorang. Dalam penelitian ini saya ingin menunjukan bahwa pengalaman seksual seseorang juga menjadi salah satu kunci dari perubahan identitas seksual.

This study discusses how a person can make a transition of sexual identity in his life with this research we can find out what factors are causing it. The method used in this study is qualitative by observing prospective informants who will be interviewed in depth whether they are willing or not to be interviewed. Based on the findings that I have obtained from this study, a person transitions sexual identity caused by several factors such as family, friendship and economy. Family factors are usually used as a major factor in influencing one's self-identity, but in fact friendship is also very influential especially when someone steps into puberty, then other conditions due to the influence of the economy. A person's economy is not always in a stable condition so these three factors become a transition of one's identity. In this research I want to show that a person's sexual experience is also one of the keys to changing sexual identity.

"Fandom sebagai ruang yang didominasi perempuan seringkali dianggap lebih ramah gender. Melalui berbagai aktivitas, seperti menulis fanfiksi, menggambar fan art, dan mengonsumsi juga membagikan karya pengemar lain, serta membangun jejaring sesama penggemar, para penggemar perempuan dapat berkegiatan dengan relatif lebih bebas, tanpa batas-batas yang ditetapkan lelaki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencaritahu cara-cara penggemar perempuan dapat mengeksplorasi dan mengekspresikan dirinya di fandom, dan bagaimana kegiatan mereka dalam ruang penggemar dapat berkelindan dengan hal tersebut. Melalui pendekatan etnografi, dengan metode observasi partisipan dan wawancara mendalam secara daring, studi ini juga menggunakan studi pustaka untuk memperkaya analisa. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa informan dapat mengeksplorasi dan mengekspresikan gender mereka melalui berbagai kegiatan penggemar, termasuk terlibat dalam, atau sekadar memperhatikan, diskursus yang sering muncul dalam fandom. Sekalipun ruang fandom masih heteronormatif, informan dapat menentukan sendiri pendekatan mereka pada fandom, termasuk dalam menghadirkan diri mereka.

Fandom as a female-dominated space is often considered more gender-friendly. Through various activities, such as writing fan fiction, drawing fan art, consuming and sharing the fan works of other fans, as well as building networks with fellow fans, female fans can carry out their activities relatively freely, without scornful limitations imposed by men. This research aims to find out the ways female fans can explore and express themselves in fandom, and how their activities in the fan space can be related to this. Through an ethnographic approach, with participant observation methods and online in-depth interviews, this study also uses literature research to enrich the analysis. The results show that informants can explore and express their gender through various fan activities, including engaging in, or simply paying attention to, discourses that often arise in fandom. Even though the fandom space is still heteronormative, informants can determine their own approach to fandom, including in presenting themselves."

Oleh karena itu penulis menggunakan pertanyaan `Bagaimana upaya LAGABLAB Network dalam mendorong disetujuinya SOGIE Bill oleh House of Representatives tahun 2017. The Philippines is a country with the majority of people being adherents of conservative Catholicism. The high religious values in the Philippines is the main reason why LGBT people being discriminated. LAGABLAB Network was made as an LGBT advocacy network in the Philippines. LAGABLAB Network is making efforts to encourage the Senate and the House of Representatives, until finally in 2017 the House of Representatives passed the SOGIE Bill in the 3rd Reading. Therefore, the writer uses the question "What is the effort of LAGABLAB Network in encouraging the approval of SOGIE Bill by the House of Representatives in 2017. In conducting research, the author uses Political Activism Theory by Pippa Norris and the Civil Society Theory from Larry Diamond."

"Anime Kuragehime (2010) karya Akiko Higashimura merupakan adaptasi dari manga yang sebelumnya telah ditulis oleh penulis yang sama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis identitas gender pada karakter Kuranosuke Koibuchi dalam anime Kuragehime dan respon yang diterima olehnya dari lingkungan sekitar. Dalam penelitian ini, teori performativitas gender oleh Judith Butler (1999) dan metode penelitian semiotika Charles Sanders Pierce digunakan sebagai landasan teoritis dan metodologis. Hasil analisis ditemukan bahwa elemen-elemen seperti pakaian, gaya rambut, dan ekspresi wajah Kuranosuke membentuk makna mendalam terkait identitas gender karakter tersebut. Perubahan penampilan Kuranosuke seperti layaknya seorang wanita menjadi representasi dinamika performativitas gender. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa identitas gender bukanlah entitas statis, melainkan konstruksi sosial yang terus berubah melalui tindakan performatif yang berulang dan dinamis.

The anime Kuragehime (2010) by Akiko Higashimura is an adaptation of a manga previously written by the same author. This research aims to analyze the gender identity of the character Kuranosuke Koibuchi in the anime Kuragehime and the responses received from his surrounding environment. In this study, the theoretical framework and methodology involve Judith Butler's (1999) gender performativity theory and Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic research method. The analysis results indicate that elements such as clothing, hairstyle, and facial expressions of Kuranosuke form profound meanings related to the gender identity of the character. Kuranosuke's changes in appearance, resembling that of a woman, serve as a representation of the dynamics of gender performativity. The research findings affirm that gender identity is not a static entity but a social construction that continually evolves through repeated and dynamic performative actions."

"Masuknya budaya populer Korea, terutama musik pop, memunculkan fenomena baru yang lain yaitu roleplay di kalangan para penggemarnya. Roleplay merupakan permainan peran, baik memainkan peran karakter fiksi maupun publik figur di kehidupan nyata. Setiap orang dibebaskan memainkan karakter yang mereka inginkan dan mendorong pemain untuk memainkan karakter dengan identitas yang berbeda, salah satunya identitas gender. Dari sinilah muncul fenomena gender swap. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan etnografi dengan metode observasi dan wawancara mendalam secara daring untuk menyesuaikan dengan pandemi COVID-19. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana seseorang mengonstruksikan identitas gender yang berbeda dan kaitannya dengan stereotip gender yang berlaku. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah informan mengonstruksikan identitas gender yang berbeda dengan tindakan performatif yang dilakukan secara berulang-ulang melalui tampilan akun, typing, dan interaksi sosial. Dalam mengonstruksikan identitas gendernya, informan melanggengkan dan menentang stereotip gender secara bersamaan.

The entry of Korean pop culture, especially pop music, has led to another new phenomenon, namely roleplay among fans. Roleplay is a role-playing game, both playing the role of fictional characters and public figures in real life. Everyone is free to play the character they want and encourages players to play characters with different identities, one of which is gender identity. This is where the gender swap phenomenon emerges. This study uses an ethnographic approach with online observation and in-depth interviews to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to see how a person constructs a different gender identity and its relation to prevailing gender stereotypes. The results of this study are informants construct different gender identities with performative actions that are carried out repeatedly through account display, typing, and social interaction. In constructing their gender identity, informants perpetuate and oppose gender stereotypes simultaneously."

"Tulisan ini membahas pengukuhan peran gender tradisional yang terdapat pada film The Proposal 2009. Tulisan ini berusaha membuktikan bahwa meskipun peran gender Margaret sebagai atasan membuatnya memiliki kedudukan tinggi atas laki-laki di ruang publik, hal tersebut hanyalah pretensi untuk mengukuhkan peran gender tradisonal serta menegaskan bahwa perempuan tidak dibenarkan untuk meninggalkan ruang domestik. Tulisan ini dianalisa melalui metode qualitatif dengan menggunakan teori peran gender dari Kate Millett.

This paper discusses the reinforcement of tradisional gender roles in the movie The Proposal 2009. This paper tries to prove that even when Margaret's gender role as a superior puts her position above men in public space, it is actually only a pretense to reinforce the traditional gender roles and to strenghten the believe that women are not supposed to leave domestic space. This paper is analyzed through qualitative method, using Kate Millett's gender roles theory."
