"Film Big Fish & Begonia《大鱼海棠》merupakan film animasi yang dirilis pada tahun 2016. Film ini mengisahkan perjalanan, pengorbanan, dan ikatan emosional antara insan dari dunia berbeda. Chun, seorang gadis remaja dari dunia mistik di mana “The Others” tinggal, menghadapi banyak kesulitan dan rintangan ketika merawat Kun yang berasal dari dunia manusia. Akan tetapi, Chun berhasil melaluinya dengan adanya keyakinan dalam dirinya serta bantuan dari temannya yaitu Qiu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis latar sebagai aspek yang mendukung penokohan dalam film Big Fish & Begonia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan intrinsik dengan fokus pada unsur latar dan penokohan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa latar merupakan aspek penting yang mempengaruhi penokohan dalam film. Hal ini karena interaksi antara para tokoh yaitu Chun, Kun, dan Qiu dapat terjadi karena adanya benturan antara latar dua dunia, yaitu dunia mistik dan dunia manusia. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengungkap makna di balik judul film yang mewakilkan dua dunia, serta memiliki keterkaitan dengan tokoh dalam film, yaitu Kun dan Chun.

Big Fish & Begonia 《大鱼海棠》is an animated film released on 2016. This film tells the story of the journey, sacrifice, and emotional bond between people from different worlds. Chun, a teenage girl from the mystical world where “The Others” lives, faces many difficulties and obstacles while taking care of Kun who is from the human world. However, Chun managed to get through it with the belief in her and the help of her friend, Qiu. This research aims to analyze the settings as an aspect that supports the characterizations in the film Big Fish & Begonia. This research uses an intrinsic approach with a focus on the element of settings and characterization. The results of this research indicate that settings is an important aspect that influences the characterizations in the film. This is because the interaction between the characters, namely Chun, Kun, and Qiu, can occur due to a clash between the settings of the two worlds, that is the mystical world and the human world. In addition, this research also reveals the meaning behind the title of the film which represents two worlds, and related to the characters in the film, namely Kun and Chun."

"Posisi Terbalik Daoli (倒立) adalah sebuah cerpen karya Mo Yan. Cerpen ini bercerita tentang acara reuni yang dihadiri oleh tujuh orang teman SMA. Mereka mengadakan reuni setelah 20 tahun tidak bertemu. Reuni diadakan oleh Sun Dasheng di sebuah restoran Barat. Dari cerpen dapat terlihat perbandingan kondisi beberapa tokoh saat masa SMA dengan masa kini. Dari beberapa penelitian terdahulu, dinyatakan bahwa cerpen ini mengungkapkan distorsi sifat manusia yang dapat dilihat dari sikap para tokoh saat reuni berlangsung. Setelah membaca berulang cerpen maka saya mendapati bahwa perbandingan perbedaan para tokoh saat SMA dengan saat reuni dan latar waktu cerpen merupakan unsur penting yang belum dikaji oleh penelitian terdahulu. Penelitian ini utamanya membedah cerpen secara intrinsik. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah judul Daoli (倒立) memiliki makna posisi terbalik. Posisi terbalik tersebut dapat dilihat dari kedudukan yang dimiliki Sun Dasheng dan tokoh lainnya saat reuni berlangsung. Kondisi sosial yang melatarbelakangi cerpen ini adalah perubahan yang dialami Cina dari masa Revolusi Kebudayaan ke Reformasi dan Keterbukaan. Revolusi Kebudayaan dan Reformasi & Keterbukaan memunculkan dua keadaan untuk Cina, yaitu keadaan baik dan kurang baik.

Reverse Position Daoli (倒立) is a short story by Mo Yan. This short story is about a reunion event seven high school friends attended. They held a reunion after 20 years of not seeing each other. Sun Dasheng held the reunion at a Western restaurant. From the short story, one can see a comparison of the conditions of some of the characters in high school with the present. Several previous studies stated that this short story reveals a distortion of human nature, which can be seen from the characters' attitudes during the reunion. After reading the short story repeatedly, I found that comparing the differences between the characters in high school with the reunion and the time setting of the short story is an important element that has not been studied by previous research. This research primarily dissects short stories intrinsically. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the title Daoli (倒立) has the meaning of a reversed position. This reversed position can be seen from the positions Sun Dasheng and other figures held during the reunion. The social condition behind this short story is China's change in social situations from the Cultural Revolution to Economic Reform. The Cultural Revolution and Economic Reform created two conditions for China: the good and the bad."

"Film Shadow (2018) merupakan film bergenre wuxia yang menceritakan tentang kehidupan tokoh Jingzhou yang menjadi pengganti bagi Panglima Ziyu. Jingzhou merupakan seorang anak yang terlantar dan terpisah dari ibunya akibat berpindah tangannya kota Jing, dipelihara oleh Panglima Ziyu. Akan tetapi dengan tugasnya sebagai seorang bayang membuat Jingzhou lelah menjadi seseorang yang bukan dirinya. Dalam film Shadow (2018), Zhang Yimou berusaha untuk menunjukkan konflik yang harus dilalui Jingzhou sebagai bayangan Ziyu. Sehingga rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kebajikan dan pergulatan batin Jingzhou dalam penokohannya sebagai Ziyu pada film Shadow (Ying) direfleksikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kebajikan dan pergulatan batin Jingzhou dalam penokohannya sebagai Ziyu direfleksikan. Selain itu, penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan intrinsik yang berfokus pada penokohan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Jingzhou sebagai tokoh yang bergerak sebagai pengganti Panglima Ziyu mengalami konflik batin yang pada akhirnya membuat dia melakukan pemberontakan untuk menjadi dirinya sendiri.

Shadow (2018) is a wuxia film that tells the story of the life of the character Jingzhou who became a substitute for General Ziyu. Jingzhou is a child who was abandoned and separated from his mother due to the transfer of the city of Jing, nurtured by General Ziyu. However, his duties as a shadow made Jingzhou tired of being someone else. In the film Shadow (2018), Zhang Yimou attempts to show the conflict that Jingzhou has to go through as Ziyu's shadow. So the problem formulation of this research is how Jingzhou's virtue and inner struggle in his characterisation as Ziyu in the film Shadow (Ying) are reflected. The purpose of this research is to find out how Jingzhou's virtue and inner struggle in his characterisation as Ziyu are reflected. In addition, this study uses qualitative research methods with an intrinsic approach that focuses on characterisation. The conclusion of this research is that Jingzhou as a character who moves as a substitute for General Ziyu experiences inner conflict that ultimately makes him rebel to become himself."

"Darbareye Elly merupakan sebuah film thriller psikologis dari Iran yang disutradarai oleh Asghar Farhadi dan diproduksi pada tahun 2009. Bercerita tentang sekelompok teman yang sedang pergi ke pinggir kota, Pantai Kaspia, untuk berlibur. Seiring berjalannya cerita, terungkap kebohongan-kebohongan dari para tokoh untuk mewujudkan keinginannya masing-masing. Motivasi dari para tokoh membuat perubahan karakter yang digambarkan berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori psikologi sastra mengacu pada Sigmund Freud. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan karakter tokoh utama sesuai dengan teori psikologi sastra oleh Sigmund Freud. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa kepribadian tokoh utama, yaitu Elly, Sepideh, dan Ahmad memiliki karakter id yang paling mendominasi dibandingkan dengan ego dan superego, serta tokoh yang paling menunjukkan perubahan karakternya adalah Sepideh, lalu Elly, dan yang tidak terlalu menunjukkan perubahan karakternya adalah Ahmad.

Darbareye Elly is an Iranian psychological thriller film directed by Asghar Farhadi and produced in 2009. It tells the story of a group of friends who go to the edge of the city, the Caspian Coast, for a vacation. As the story progresses, lies are revealed from the characters to realize their respective desires. The motivations of the characters make changes to the characters portrayed differently. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The theory used is the theory of literary psychology referring to Sigmund Freud. The purpose of this research is to describe the main character in accordance with the theory of literary psychology by Sigmund Freud. The results of this study found that the personalities of the main characters, namely Elly, Sepideh, and Ahmad have id characters that dominate the most compared to ego and superego, and the character who shows the most character change is Sepideh, then Elly, and the one who doesn't show too much character change is Ahmad."

"Penelitian ini akan membahas kaitan antara busana, karakter dan dialog dengan identitas tokoh Ne Zha dalam tiga film Ne Zha, 1979, 2016 dan 2019. Visualisasi busana tokoh Ne Zha dalam tiga film animasi tersebut memiliki beberapa perbedaan. Dari perbedaan tersebut dapat menimbulkan perspektif yang keliru terhadap identitas tokoh Ne Zha. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui identitas tokoh Ne Zha dengan menggunakan unsur intrinsik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, metode tersebut menggunakan film animasi Prince Nezha's Triumph Against Dragon King (1979), I Am Nezha (2016) dan Birth of the Demon Child Nezha (2019) sebagai sumber data primer, sedangkan jurnal maupun situs internet yang membahas unsur intrinsik film dan informasi mengenai Ne Zha dijadikan sebagai sumber-sumber sekunder yang akan digunakan untuk membantu proses penelitian. Dengan sumber dan metode tersebut, penelitian ini mencapai kesimpulan bahwa unsur intrinsik film mempengaruhi identitas tokoh Ne Zha.

This study will discuss the relationship between fashion, characters and dialogue with the identity of the Ne Zha character in the three Ne Zha films, 1979, 2016 and 2019. The visualization of the Ne Zha character's clothing in the three animated films has several differences. From these differences, it can lead to a wrong perspective on the identity of the character Ne Zha. The purpose of this study is to determine the identity of the character Ne Zha by using intrinsic elements. The method used is descriptive qualitative research method, the method uses the animated films Prince Nezha's Triumph Against Dragon King (1979), I Am Nezha (2016) and Birth of the Demon Child Nezha (2019) as primary data sources, while journals and internet sites which discusses the intrinsic elements of the film and information about Ne Zha used as secondary sources that will be used to assist the research process. With these sources and methods, this research concludes that the intrinsic elements of the film affect the identity of the character Ne Zha."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang tokoh dan penokohan yang terdapat dalam novel Ikhtilas karya Hani Naqshabandi. Novel Arab ini diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia dengan judul Wanita Terpasung yang cerita di dalam novel diangkat dari kisah nyata. Penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif-analisis untuk mendeskripsikan lalu menganalisis data secara mendalam. Selain itu, menggunakan pendekatan struktural untuk membangun hubungan antar unsur untrinsik di dalam novel. Hasil penelitian tokoh dan penokohan yang terdapat di dalam novel Ikhtilas, penulis menemukan karakteristik-karakteristik tokoh yang dipengaruhi lingkungan masyarakat dan tempat tinggalnya. Selain itu, terdapat pula karakteristik tokoh-tokoh yang sangat beragam.

This Thesis discussed about character and characterization in Ikhtilas novel by Hani Naqshabandi. This Arabic novel was translated to Indonesian with "Wanita Terpasung" as title which is a true story. The writer used descriptive-analytic method to describe then analyze the data profoundly. Furthermore, structural approach was used to build connection between intrinsic elements in the novel. As the result, the writer found characters in the novel were affected by communities and their habitats. However, there were also diversity in characters."

"Film Kimssi Pyoryugi (2009) karya Lee Hae-jun menceritakan kisah antara dua tokoh korban modernisasi perkotaan yang ter-alienasi dari kehidupan sosial mereka masing-masing. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai unsur intrinsik penokohan dan perubahan makna alienasi oleh kedua tokoh utama dalam film Kimssi Pyoryugi karya sutradara Lee Hae-jun. Dalam menganalisis penokohan dan analisis perubahan makna, metode yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dengan sumber data primer, yaitu film Kimssi Pyoryugi. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa Kim laki-laki mengalami perkembangan karakter menjadi berwatak terbuka dan bertekad kuat. Sementara Kim perempuan menjadi berwatak peduli dan pemberani. Kedua tokoh mengalami perubahan bentuk alienasi dari alienasi psikis menjadi alienasi fisik. Perubahan ini kemudian mengubah pemaknaan alienasi kedua tokoh Kim menjadi suatu alternatif pilihan dalam usaha memenuhi esensi, hakikat dan martabat mereka sebagai manusia.

Kimssi Pyoryugi (2009), a film directed by Lee Hae-jun tells the story of two characters as a victim of modernization who are alienized from their respective social lives. This study analyzes the intrinsic factor of characterization and the characters’ understanding of alienation. The research method used in this study is descriptive analyzation with the primary data of the film Kimssi Pyoryugi (2009) directed by Lee Hae-jun. The result of this research proofs that male Kim has developed a character that is independent and determined. Meanwhile, female Kim has developed a character that is caring and brave. The two Kim characters experienced a change of alienation from psychological alienation to physical alienation. This change affects their understanding on the concept of alienation. Alienation has become an alternative to fulfil their essence, nature, and dignity as human beings."

"Masa remaja merupakan masa yang sangat penting dan dinamis karena pada masa ini remaja mulai mencari dan menegaskan eksistensinya. Pembentukan identitas dialami remaja karena adanya transisi posisi dan eksistensi antara kanak-kanak dan dewasa. Proses pembentukan identitas pada masa remaja sering diangkat sebagai tema dalam film. Film sebagai media dapat digunakan untuk menyampaikan pesan-pesan atau ideologinya kepada penonton. Menurut Steele 2001 , film adalah lawan bicara atau partisipan dalam memberi dan menerima dialektik antara apa yang remaja ketahui tentang dirinya dan masyarakat serta apa yang masih harus mereka pelajari. Oleh karena itu, melalui film, proses pembentukan identitas pada remaja dapat dilihat. Salah satu film yang mengangkat tema tersebut adalah Tschick. Film yang bergenre drama-komedi dan road movie ini bercerita tentang proses transformasi dua remaja laki-laki yang tidak dianggap bernama Maik dan Tschick menjadi remaja yang dianggap penting oleh teman-temannya melalui perjalanan yang mereka lakukan melintasi daerah di Jerman dengan mobil Lada curian Tschick. Proses pembentukan identitas tersebut direpresentasikan melalui perjalanan yang mereka lakukan. Penelitian ini akan melihat bagaimana proses pembentukan identitas Maik dan Tschick dengan menganalisis peran mereka di berbagai domain kehidupan seperti keluarga, hubungan dengan teman, peran seks dan gender, dan nilai-nilai. Pemaparan proses pembentukan identitas ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan bahwa proses pembentukan identitas bersifat dinamis dan sangat dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis tekstual dengan pendekatan semiotik. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa identitas bukanlah sesuatu yang tetap dan mutlak, melainkan sebuah proses yang tidak akan pernah selesai dan dapat berubah. Selain itu, identitas dapat berubah tergantung dari interaksi yang dilakukan dan merupakan perpaduan antara interpelasi dan interpretasi. Dengan kata lain, identitas ditentukan oleh bagaimana seseorang diposisikan dan memosisikan dirinya.

Adolescence is a very important and dynamic period because in this period adolescents begin to seek and affirm their existence. Identity formation is experienced by adolescents because of the transition of position and existence between childhood and adulthood. The process of identity formation in adolescence is often selected as a theme of a film. Film as a medium can be used to convey messages or ideologies to the audience. According to Steele 2001 , films are interlocutors or participants in a dialectic give and take between what teenagers know about themselves and society and what they still have to learn. Therefore, the process of identity formation in adolescents can be seen through the film. One of the films that using the identity formation as its theme is Tschick. This drama comedy and road movie is about the transformation of two teenage boys named Maik and Tschick from teenagers who are considered as outsider, to be the teenagers who are considered to be important by their friends through a journey across Germany with Lada lsquo Tschick rsquo s stolen car rsquo . The process of identity formation is represented through the journey that they do. This research will look at the process of identity formation of Maik and Tschick by analyzing their roles in various domains of life such as family, relationships with friends, sex and gender roles, and values. The explanation of this identity formation aims to show that the process of identity formation is dynamic and strongly influenced by the environment. The used research method is textual analysis with semiotic approach. Based on this research, it can be concluded that identity is not something fixed and absolute, but a process that will never be finished and can change. Moreover, identity may change depending on the interaction and is a correlation between interpellation and interpretation. In other words, identity is determined by how people position themselves and be positioned by others."
