"Social work as a profession and academic discipline has long centered women and issues of concern to women, such as reproductive rights, labor rights, equal rights, violence and poverty. In fact, the social work profession was started by and maintained in large part by women and has been home to several generations of feminists starting with recognized first wave feminists. This wide-ranging volume both maps the contemporary landscape of feminist social work research, and offers a deep engagement with critical and third wave feminisms in social work research. "Karya akhir ini disusun untuk menganalisis penyebarluasan anti-feminisme di media sosial sebagai bentuk gendered hate online dan kekerasan terhadap perempuan. Penulisan karya akhir ini menggunakan analisis wacana kritis feminis oleh Lazar terhadap 11 cuitan akun Twitter @txtdarifeminis. Dengan menggunakan konsep gendered hate online, kekerasan terhadap perempuan, dan teori analisis wacana kritis feminis, karya akhir ini membuktikan bahwa cuitan akun Twitter @txtdarifeminis melakukan gendered hate online dan kekerasan terhadap perempuan. Gendered hate online dalam unggahan akun ini mulai dari tindakan yang mengandung sifat misoginistik dan seksis (shaming, labeling, stereotip gender, rape culture, dan victim blaming) sampai pada penyebaran gagasan yang salah tentang feminisme. Sedangkan, kekerasan terhadap perempuan dalam karya akhir ini terbagi dalam dua bentuk, yaitu kekerasan simbolik dan ancaman kekerasan fisik.

This paper discusses the analysis of the widespread of anti-feminism on social media as gendered hate online and violence against women. This paper uses feminist critical discourse analysis technique and data were collected from 11 tweets of Twitter account, @txtdarifeminis. This paper uses the concept of gendered hate online, violence against women, and the theory of feminist critical discourse analysis. This paper proves that tweets from account @txtdarifeminis did gendered hate online and violence against women. Gendered hate online on these tweets included actions that contained misogynistic and sexsism (such as shaming, labeling, gender stereotype, rape culture, and victim blaming) to disseminated false idea of feminism. Violence against women in this paper divided into symbolic violence and physical violence threat."

"Tesis ini bertujuan mengungkap praktek diskursus mengenai feminisme dalam internet, dengan meneliti internet meme, spesifiknya jenis image macro, di situsmeme repository 9GAG. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif terhadap teks meme dengan analisis multimodal dan analisis wacana Teun A. van Dijk. Sampeldata adalah subkategori meme yang secara konsisten menampilkan ide feminisme dalam tiap kemunculannya dan pernah muncul di 9GAG. Hasil peneltian menunjukkan bahwa diskursus feminisme tampil secara beragam sebagian merefleksikan diskursus humor yang merupakan diskursus utama 9GAG, sebagian lain tidak merefleksikan humor atau menampilkan humor dengan cara yang berbeda. Aktor-aktor sosial di balik meme yang diteliti juga beragam; sebagian dapat ditelusuri karena identitasnya tercatat dengan lengkap di internet, sebagian lain hanya bisa diduga berdasarkan karakteristik tertentu seperti penggunaan humor, posisi mengenai feminisme dan ketimpangan akses internet berdasar jenis kelamin. Ruang-ruang internet tempat meme yang membawa diskursus feminisme menyebar mengharuskan diskursus feminisme mengikuti diskursus humor yang sudah lebih dahulu berkuasa jika tidak mereka akan terpinggirkan dan hanya bisa mempertahankan status quo di situs orisinal mereka jika ada.

The thesis attempts to reveal discursive practices involved in construcing discourses on feminism in the internet. The research takes multiple subcategory of memes, that fall into image macro types, available on 9GAG. This is a qualitative research on

text and visual of memes, with analysis conducted using multimodal analysis and Teun A. van Dijk?s discourse analysis framework. Selected subcategories are the ones that consistently present ideas on feminism, and is available to access on 9GAG at least once. The result shows that discourse on feminism are various some reflects the humorous nature of 9GAG while others don?t or uses humor in a different direction than the ones found on 9GAG. Social actors are also different several are readily identifiable through the internet, while others are describable only based on several characteristics like the use of humor, stance on feminism and access gap of internet based on gender and sex difference. Social spaces where memes spread also require the memes to conform to preexisting discourse if they want to thrive in it; otherwise they will simply froze in an obscure corner of the space, while only barely maintaining the status quo of their original sites."

"Modernisasi dan westernisasi yang terjadi secara masif pada masa awal Korea menyebabkan banyaknya wacana barat terinstitusi dan diimplementasi ke dalam sistemnya. Konsep feminisme, keadilan, dan kesetaraan atas hak-hak perempuan di Korea belum menjadi dikursus aktif hingga tahun 1993. Prinsip Konfusianisme yang menjadi akar dari nilai dan tradisi Korea dianggap mengopresi dan membatasi ruang gerak perempuan, sehingga menyebabkan perempuan Korea memulai perlawanannya melalui aktivisme sosial untuk menuntut hak-hak dasarnya. Menggunakan metode kritik epistemologi feminis, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menelaah pengaruh pemikiran barat terhadap konseptualisasi dan praktik Konsep Feminisme dalam masyarakat Konfusianisme Korea dan juga perkembangannya pada era kontemporer ini. Didukung dengan teori stand point serta interseksionalitas, peneliti menemukan bahwa aktivisme perempuan di Korea hingga saat ini memancarkan retorika feminis-radikal dengan perjuangan kelas dan sedikit isu gender di dalamnya. Perbedaan budaya yang kontras juga menyebabkan kontradiksi yang kompleks dan rumit hadir dalam feminisme kontemporer Korea.

Modernization and westernization that occurred massively in the early days of Korea cause many western discourses to be institutionalized and implemented into its system. The concept of feminism, justice, and equality for women’s rights in Korea did not become an active discourse until 1993. The Confucian principles which are the roots of Korean values and traditions are considered to suppress and limit women’s movement, causing Korean women to start their resistance through social activism to claim their basic rights. Using the method of criticism of feminist epistemology, this research was conducted to examine the influence of western thought on the conceptualization and practice of the concept of feminism in Korean Confucian society and also its development in the contemporary era. Supported by Standpoint Theory by Sandra Harding and Kimberlé Crenshaw’s intersectionality concept, the author found that women’s activism in Korea exudes radical-feminist rhetoric with class struggle and gender issues in it. The contrasting cultural differences also lead to complex and complicated contradictions present in contemporary Korean Feminism."
