"Pada penelitian sebelumnya telah didapatkan hasil bahwa dengan menggunakan radiasi gamma mampu membedakan jenis zat dengan memanfaatkan sifat perambatannya dan atenuasi bahan. Kemudian didapatkan gagasan untuk menentukan ketinggian zat cair. Kemudian dirancang dan dibuatlah sistem pengukuran ketinggian zat cair ini berbasis mikrokontroler dan LabVIEW. Dari hasil yang didapatkan dibuatlah grafik intensitas radiasi intensidas radiasi dalam cacahan per sepuluh detik terhadap ketinggian dalam cm kemudian dikonversi menjadi ketinggian zat cair dalam cm. Dibutuhkan sebuah algoritma matematika yang mampu untuk menerjemahkan grafik ini. Ketika mencapai daerah peralihan antara zat cair yang berbeda pada grafik hasilnya terlihat daerah kurva miring. Keadaan ini yang dimanfaatkan untuk membuat algoritma tersebut. Ketinggian merupakan titik tengah dari daerah kurva miring yang dihasilkan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari sistem ini menunjukkan bahwa ketinggian zat cair dapat ditentukan dengan menggunakan radiasi gamma.

The previous research had showned that by using gamma radiation, it is possible to differentiate different substance using its propagation and the atenuation of the materials. Furthermore, an idea to create a device to measure the height of a fluid system are obtained. Thus, a device to measure the height of a fluid system based on microcontroller and LabVIEW are made. From the counting of this system, a graphs of radiation intensity vs. height (in cm) are then converted into the height of fluids. Results obtained from this system showed that it is possible to show the height of fluids using gamma radiation."
