This study using person-centered approach to determine the prevalence of paternalistic leadership profiles in Indonesia and explore their relationship with felt accountability. This study used role theory to explain this relationship. The theoretical model developed in this study was empirically tested on a manufacturing company in Indonesia (N=393). This research used Latent Profile Analysis (LPA) and BCH method to examine paternalistic leadership profiles and their relationship with felt accountability. This study found that all paternalistic leadership dimensions positively and significantly correlate with felt accountability. The result also showed that a paternalistic leadership profile that consists of high score in all paternalistic leadership dimensions (Perfect Paternalistic Leader) is the most dominant profile in this study. Lastly, this study found the Perfect Paternalistic Leader has a higher felt accountability score than other profiles. The current study indicates the importance of a person-centered approach to explore the relationship between paternalistic leadership and felt accountability. Theoretical and practical implications are provided based on the research findings."

This study was conducted to determine paternalistic leadership profile shown by the employee's supervisors and its relation to employee’s job satisfaction. Social Exchange Theory is used to explain the relations. Study’s participant was employees of manufacturing companies in Indonesia (N=393) mainly operating in Java. The research data were analyzed using Latent Profile Analysis (LPA) to identify paternalistic leadership profiles. The result shows that Authentic PL profile (57,25%) became the profile with the highest prevalence followed by Virtuous PL (32,31%) and Sufficient PL (10,43%). Those profiles were found to have a significant relationship with employee’s job satisfaction. Authentic PL is the profile with the strongest effect on that relation compared to others. Superiors in the company should apply Authentic PL leadership style to increase employee’s job satisfaction. This study contributes to the development of paternalistic leadership constructs by using person-centered approach in explaining the relationship between paternalistic leadership and job satisfaction."

""Understanding Nonprofit Organizations examines the most important issues that face today's leaders and managers of nonprofit organizations through the writing of scholars, consultants, and practicing executives. It focuses on governing, leading, and managing nonprofit organizations and how such organizations differ from both the public and private sectors. Each part opens with a framing essay that identifies the central themes and issues and summarizes the significance of the contribution that each piece makes to the development of knowledge in the field. Completely revised and updated, the third edition includes new articles on legal frameworks, philanthropy, managing volunteers and accountability, as well as an original essay on capacity building by Michele Cole. In addition, the third edition now features brand-new case studies adapted by C. Kenneth Meyer specifically for Understanding Nonprofit Organizations--making it an even more student-friendly text for graduate and upper-division undergraduate nonprofit organizations and management survey courses"--"
