"Creating a society that has a critical mind must be taught to society continually through formal and informal education. A school is the formal education is to create a generation of intelligent and critical thinkers so they are able to solve their own problems as well as their community problems. To do so, one learning model that can be used is the learning model of jurisprudence review. This model is very suitable to use in learning to speak through the method of confrontative debate. Confrontative debate on controversial issues will prompt students to critically express the opinion accompanied by arguments and real evidence. Learning to speak with the method of debate is learning to speak which has a very high degree of difficulty. Instructional impact that can be achieved through this model is that students are able to think systematically about the issue that was developing in the society."

"ABSTRACTProfesi akuntan memiliki hubungan erat dengan lingkungan bisnis dan masyarakat karena profesi ini merupakan pelaku aktif dalam dunia bisnis dan ekonomi. Melihat hal tersebut peningkatan kemampuan lulusan akuntansi perlu dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk mengantisipasi arus perubahan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa akuntansi terhadap pentingnya keterampilan berkomunikasi untuk sukses berkarir di profesi akuntan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 212 responden yang merupakan mahasiswa akuntansi tingkat awal dan tingkat akhir Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Indonesia. Selain itu, analisis deskriptif juga digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui rata-rata kemampuan setiap mahasiswa akuntansi dalam berkomunikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa akuntansi terhadap kebutuhan berkomunikasi lisan bagi karir di profesi akuntan sudah dianggap penting karena mahasiswa akuntansi sudah memahami jika ingin sukses dalam karir akuntan, maka keterampilan komunikasi sangat diperlukan. Selain itu hasil penelitian ini juga menyimpulkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa akuntansi terhadap kebutuhan komunikasi lisan bagi profesi akuntan tinggi. Hasil ini didapatkan karena mahasiswa akuntansi sudah mengembangkan keterampilan yang luas, termasuk di dalamnya keterampilan komunikasi lisan dan tidak hanya mengembangkan keterampilan teknikal saja. Dalam hasil penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan persepsi mahasiswa tingkat awal maupun tingkat akhir terhadap pentingnya komunikasi lisan di profesi akuntan. Hasil ini bisa terjadi karena mahasiswa tingkat awal dan mahasiswa tingkat akhir sama-sama mengetahui tentang pentingnya komunikasi lisan di berbagai karir akuntan.

ABSTRACTAccounting professions have a very close relationship with the business environment and society because this profession is part of the business and economic world. Seeing this, increases the ability of accounting graduates have to be done in an effort to anticipate the flow of change. The purpose of this study is to determine the perception of accounting students on the importance of communication skills for successful career in the accounting profession. This study was conducted by using survey method and questionnaries distributed on 212 respondents. The respondents is consist of entry level accounting students and final year accounting students from Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Indonesia. In addition, descriptive analysis is also used in this study to determine the average ability of each accounting students in communicating. The results of this study indicate that perceptio of accounting students to the needs of oral communication for a career in the accounting profession has been considered important because accounting students already understand if we want to success in accounting career, we must have a good oral communication skill. In addition, the results of this study also concluded that the perception of accounting students to the needs of oral communication for accounting profession is high. This result is obtained because accounting students have developed extensive skills, including oral communication skills and not just developing technical skills. In the results of this study also found that there is no difference in student perceptions of new students and final year students of the importance of oral communication in the accounting profession. This result can happen because the new students and final year students know the importance of oral communication in various accounting careers."

"Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh reputasi perusahaan dan word-of-mouth dalam pembuatan keputusan melamar kerja dengan melakukan survei pada 200 responden yang merupakan mahasiwa/i Pascasarjana Komunikasi Univeristas Indonesia. Hasil analisis regresi linier berganda menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara reputasi perusahaan dan word-of-mouth terhadap keputusan melamar kerja. Nilai koefisien Beta menunjukkan reputasi perusahaan memiliki pengaruh yang cukup kuat dan searah terhadap pembuatan keputusan melamar kerja, sedangkan word-of-mouth memiliki pengaruh yang rendah dan searah terhadap keputusan melamar kerja. Nilai koefisien determinasi menujukkan bahwa reputasi perusahaan dan variabel word-of-mouth cukup dapat menjelaskan pembuatan keputusan melamar kerja.

This research tested the effect of corporate reputation and word-of-mouth communication to the job applicant decision by surveying a sample of 189 of graduate communication student of University of Indonesia. Result from multiple regression showed that corporat reputation and word-of-mouth communication was positively significant effect to job applicant decision. Beta coefficients showed that corporate reputation has a strong effect to job applicant decision, while the word-ofmouth communication has a low effect to job applicant decision. The coefficient of determination showed that the corporate reputation and word-of-mouth communication can adequately explain the job applicant decision."

"Stroke merupakan suatu kondisi defisit neurologis yang diakibatkan oleh penurunan suplai oksigen ke dalam jaringan otak. Terdapat berbagai macam kecacatan yang ditimbulkan oleh stroke, salah satu diantaranya adalah dysarthria. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh Nonspeech-Oralmotor Therapy: blowing pipe terhadap kemampuan komunikasi verbal pasien stroke dengan dysarthria. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan case-control design dengan melibatkan 20 responden pada masing-masing kelompok (perlakuan dan kontrol) yang didapat dari RSU Kota Banjar, RSUD Ciamis dan RSU Kota tasikmalaya. Analisis bivariat menunjukkan tidak adanya pengaruh yang signifikan latihan Nonspeech-oralmotor therapy: blowing pipe terhadap kemampuan komunikasi verbal pasien stroke dengan dysarthria (p=0,832) namun dari hasil analisis perbedaan mean pada kedua kelompok didapatkan adanya peningkatan sebanyak 14 poin pada kelompok perlakuan, sementara kelompok kontrol terdapat peningkatan sebanyak 11,3 poin. Dengan demikian latihan ini dapat digunakan sebagai intervensi keperawatan dalam melatih pasien meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi verbal.

Stroke is a condition of neurological deficits caused by decreased oxygen supply to the brain tissue. There are various kinds of disabilities caused by stroke, one of them is dysarthria. This study aims to look at the influence Nonspeech-Oralmotor therapy: blowing pipe towards verbal communication ability of stroke patients with dysarthria. The design of this research was a quasi experiment with casecontrol design involving 20 respondents in each group (treatment and control) which obtained from the Banjar, Ciamis and Tasikmalaya general hospital.

Bivariate analysis indicated no significant effect of exercise NonSpeech-oralmotor Therapy: blowing pipe on verbal communication abilitiy of stroke patients with dysarthria (p = 0.832) however the results of the analysis of differences in both groups, there was an increase of mean 14 points on the treatment group, while the control group there was an increase of 11.3 points. Thus, this exercise can be used as a nursing intervention in training patients to improve verbal communication ability."
