Software Defined Network (SDN) is a network architecture that is different than the usual network because SDN separates control plane and data plane. SDN gives programmability and more chances for innovation of network management and network security. Network security is one of the most important things. In a traditional network, there a lot of security problems, some of them have been solved by using SDN, but there are some problems that linger, such as Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) spoofing, which has no efficient solution in a traditional network.
ARP spoofing is a way that is used by an attacker to do cache poisoning by inserting a false Internet Protocol (IP) to the Media Access Control (MAC) address mapping on an ARP cache. In this research, mitigation of ARP spoofing attack on an SDN with ARP module on a POX controller which can detect and stop an attack is done. OpenFlow is used for communication between a controller and the switch using Mininet.

"Web Services, Service-Oriented Architectures, and Cloud Computing is a jargon-free, highly illustrated explanation of how to leverage the rapidly multiplying services available on the Internet. The future of business will depend on software agents, mobile devices, public and private clouds, big data, and other highly connected technology. IT professionals will need to evaluate and combine online services into service-oriented architectures (SOA), often depending on Web services and cloud computing. This can mean a fundamental shift away from custom software and towards a more nimble use of semantic vocabularies, middle-tier systems, adapters and other standardizing aspects.
This book is a guide for the savvy manager who wants to capitalize on this technological revolution. It begins with a high-level example of how an average person might interact with a service-oriented architecture, and progresses to more detail, discussing technical forces driving adoption and how to manage technology, culture and personnel issues that can arise during adoption. An extensive reference section provides quick access to commonly used terms and concepts."

"This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the industrial track of the 4th International Conference on Subject-Oriented Business Process Management, S-BPM ONE 2012, held in Vienna, Austria, in April 2012. S-BPM as a discipline is characterized by a seamless approach toward the analysis, modeling, implementation, execution, and maintenance of business processes, with an explicit stakeholder focus. The 19 papers included were selected from the practically oriented submissions, and they have gone through the same rigorous peer-review process as their scientific counterparts."

"This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed scientific proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Subject-Oriented Business Process Management, S-BPM ONE 2012, held in Vienna, Austria, in April 2012. The 12 papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 36 submissions and are completed by one invited keynote paper and a summary of the tutorial onsubject-oriented business process management. S-BPM as a discipline is characterized by a seamless approach toward the analysis, modeling, implementation, execution, and maintenance of business processes, with an explicit stakeholder focus. This year's contributions address all life-cycle activities, in particular analyzing business objectives, subject behavior design and integration, and automating complex work procedures."

"Network Convergence: Ethernet Applications and Next Generation Packet Transport Architectures provides the guidance and solutions you'll need to understand Ethernet and emerging applications such as cloud computing and mobile apps, as well as large-scale retail and business deployments.
This reference starts with an overview of the Ethernet and existing broadband architectures, including XDSL, WIMAX, and VLANs. It moves on to cover next-generation networks and mobile architectures, as well as cloud computing. The book also addresses the convergence of optical, Ethernet and IP/MPLS layers, considered to be the backbone of next-generation packet transport architecture.
If you're a network designer or architect, a technical sales professional, or if you're pursuing technical certifications, you will benefit from Network Convergence's fundamental information on this rapidly evolving technology."
