"ABSTRAKSeiring kemajuan peradaban dan zaman, perempuan semakin progresif untuk menembus dan tetap berada dalam dunia pekerjaan (profesional) dan dengan tidak melupakan keluarga di rumah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami fenomena peran ganda secara detail dan mendalam. Permasalahan penelitian terkait dengan peran dari faktor peran ganda terhadap perempuan di posisi manajerial, keseharian perempuan dalam kehidupan, serta solusi yang ditawarkan dalam menghadapi masalah. Penelitian Kualitatif dengan metode Fenomenologi-Deskriptif ini menggunakan panduan wawancara semi-struktural. Subjek berjumlah delapan orang yang terdiri dari pegawai di PT. X sebagai tempat utama pengambilan sampel dan studi kasus serta asosiasi yang terkait dengan organisasi tersebut, serta latar belakang yang saling berbeda. Analisis data dilakukan dengan sistem reduksi data lewat coding, serta interpretasi dari peneliti. Hasil penelitian yang menjawab permasalahan pertama yakni faktor ganda yang berperan bagi perempuan yang memegang posisi manajerial. Perempuan pada kasus ini mengandalkan adanya pemindahan tanggung jawab terutama terkait dengan peran domestik kepada pihak lain, yang pada umumnya adalah PRT. Hasil penelitian kedua berfokus pada keseharian kehidupan perempuan baik sebagai pelaksana peran domestik maupun pemangku posisi manajerial di kehidupan karier yang saling terspesialisasi satu sama lain. Hasil temuan penelitian ketiga yakni terkait solusi yang dilakukan perempuan terkait masalah peran ganda serta perilaku diskriminatif yang diterima. Solusi tersebut adalah pemindahan tanggung jawab, melarikan diri, serta menerima apa adanya atau pasrah.

ABSTRACTOur world is fast paced and rapidly changing. That fact alone makes Women be able to breakthrough and stay within profesional ecosystems, while at the same time not completely or at all abandoning their family and domestic works at home. Main purposes of this research is to have deep understanding regarding Double Roles as a factor in women holding managerial positions, meaning women who considerably have higher positions among others. Narrowing down to three research problems, focus are divided to the impact and role of Double Role as a factor in women holding managerial positions, Second is towards daily activities and behaviors of women in those premises, and third is towards the outcome in solutions women proposed to face the problem occuring. This qualitative research use descriptive-phenomenology as the main and sole method. Subjects interviewed in total of eight women managers, all from different backgrounds and specialities, but under or related to PT.X as the main sampling populations on this research. Data coding, triangulations and saturation of data is three main component on analyzing and processing informations acquired from data gathering. Finally, research results shows that women in managerial positions all have double roles in their life and they tend to move the burden or responsibilities towards other third parties such as PRT, or close family. Second result is that women across the managerial positions have different specialities and behaviors during their day-to-day activities. Third result is that women mainly propose three solutions; moving responsibilities, avoidance, and simply accepting as it is."

"Penelitian ini akan membahas mengenai peran perempuan dalam berpolitik di Kuwait. Keterlibatan perempuan dalam berpolitik sudah banyak menjadi perbincangan hangat di masa kini. Saat ini banyak perempuan yang berlomba-lomba untuk menduduki pemerintahan. Walaupun, perempuan di Kuwait telah mendapatkan hak politik mereka pada 2005, tetapi terdapat ketidakstabilan dalam keterlibatan mereka di dalam berpolitik dan menduduki jabatan parlemen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan bagaimana keterlibatan perempuan dalam politik di Kuwait serta mengetahui orientasi masyarakat terhadap kandidat politik. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan dengan sumber data penelitian adalah berbagai literatur seperti buku, artikel, dan jurnal. Landasan teori dalam penelitian ini adalah peran perempuan dalam politik. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa pemerintahan Kuwait telah melibatkan kaum perempuan dalam bidang politik, tetapi keadaannya mereka masih kurang mewakili di parlemen. meskipun demikian perempuan Kuwait diberikan kebebasan untuk bersuara dan menyampaikan pendapatnya yang artinya mereka dapat memilih anggota perlemen. mereka juga diperbolehkan untuk mengambil alih posisi militer tertentu karena undang-undang kesetaraan gender yang menegaskan perlindungan hak-hak perempuan dalam berbagai situasi. Karena hal tersebut pandangan masyarakat Kuwait terhadap perempuan meningkat dengan baik. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi secara teoritis terhadap perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan budaya dan politik.

This research will discuss the role of women in politics in Kuwait. The involvement of women in politics has become a subject of debate, even today. Nowadays, many women are vying for government positions. Although women in Kuwait obtained their political rights in 2005, there is still instability in their involvement in politics and occupying parliamentary positions. The purpose of this study is to explain how women are involved in politics in Kuwait and to find out the orientation of society toward political candidates. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with the method being literature study and with the research data sources being various literature such as books, articles, and journals. The theoretical basis of this research is the role of women in politics. In this study, it was found that the government of Kuwait has involved women in politics, but their situation is unfortunately still underrepresented in parliament. Nevertheless, Kuwaiti women are given the freedom to speak and express their opinions, which means they can elect members of parliament. They are also allowed to take over certain military positions due to gender equality laws which affirm the protection of women's rights in various situations. Because of this, the views of the people of Kuwait towards women have improved greatly. This research is expected to contribute theoretically to the development of cultural and political science."

"The purpose of this research is to investigate the careerorientations of educated and urban Indonesian women business executivesfollowing Darr's (1988) success mop. While research an women businessexecutives and their career orientation is extensive in developed countries,such research is scarce, if not none at all, in Indonesia. The country 'ssociety still holds deeply rooted beliefs' regarding the role of women athome and in the workplace. Such special pressure could make difficult foran Indonesian women to choose a career instead of a family, or tosuccessfully combine these two important pillars of her modern iU`e. Thisstudy investigated five research questions on the career successorientations of the Indonesian women business executives with i0 non-directional null hypotheses on a sample representation of 93 of thesewomen. The findings ore that the majority of the respondents are orientedto 'Getting balance '. This is a career success orientation concerned withmaintaining the balance between home, work and personal development.Careers as lived by their respondents in this study, therefore, may beremoved from the ideals portrayed in management career literature; inother words these respondents show 'no career' concerns for advancementin the corporate board-room."
