"This book highlights routing protocols for wireless mesh networks (WMNs; IEEE 802.11s). It provides an overview of the wireless networks (history, MANET, family of IEEE 802.11, WMNS, etc.) and routing protocols, such as AODV, DSR, OLSR, etc, and also highlights two resolutions of routing protocols with respect to end-to-end delay, packet delivery ratio and routing overhead in WMNs. Wireless mesh networks have become a hot topic for researcher into the deployment of wireless networks, and they represents the connectivity of mesh networking in IEEE 802.11 amendment in static and ad-hoc networks. Moreover, WMNs have numerous attractive features, such as highly reliable connectivity, easy deployment, self-healing, self-configuring, and flexible network expansion. The book describes two routing mechanisms: novel cluster-based routing protocols (NCBRP), and decentralized hybrid wireless mesh protocol (DHWMP)."

"BMKG mempunyai fungsi pelayanan dan penyediaan informasi di bidang Meteorologi, Klimatologi, Kualitas Udara dan Geofisika (MKKuG), pengelolaan data dan informasi yang baik akan menjadi fokus utama dalam aktivitas bisnis BMKG. Untuk mendukung hal tersebut, dibutuhkan infrastruktur jaringan komunikasi Local Area Network dan Wide Area Network yang dapat diandalkan dalam melakukan analisa data dan penyebaran informasi publik. Untuk mendapatkan kualitas kinerja sistem jaringan komunikasi yang sesuai standar ideal menurut TIPHON, maka penulis mengusulkan model kerangka kerja terintegrasi yang terdiri dari : elemen End-User yaitu mengukur kepuasan pelanggan, elemen aplikasi yaitu mengukur nilai QoS pada sistem jaringan BMKG, elemen sistem yaitu mengusulkan rekomendasi topologi, elemen investasi yaitu menganalisis investasi berbasis dampak dan elemen hardware yaitu memilih perangkat melalui standar yang terbaik. Dari hasil pembahasan didapatkan bahwa kerangka kerja ini bisa menjadi acuan untuk standarisasi karena mengedepankan aspek analisis investasi yang dapat meminimalisir kerugian ekonomi terhadap bencana dan aspek standar perangkat terbaik. Setiap elemennya saling berhubungan dalam meningkatkan kualitas suatu jaringan dengan porsinya masing – masing, namun memang pada kerangka kerja ini dibatasi tidak sampai pada elemen uji model dan evaluasi, meskipun begitu kerangka kerja ini dapat dijadikan menjadi SOP (Standar Operasional Prosedur) sebagai acuan dalam pembangunan dan pengembangan suatu sistem di BMKG

BMKG has a service function and information in Meteorology, Climatology, Air Quality and Geophysics (MKKuG). Good data and information management can focus on business activities to produce fast, precise, accurate, wide-coverage information and easy to understand. This condition can support a reliable and speedy Local Area Network (LAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) communication infrastructure is needed to support the performance of BMKG employees in analyzing data and disseminating public information. To get the quality of the communication network system performance according to the ideal standard according to TIPHON, the authors propose an integrated framework model consisting of End-User elements that measure customer satisfaction, application elements that measure the QoS value on the BMKG network system, system elements that propose recommendations topology, the investment element is analyzing impact-based investments, and the hardware element is choosing the device through the best standards. The discussion results found that this framework can be a reference for standardization because it prioritizes aspects of investment analysis that can minimize economic losses to disasters and aspects of the best standard equipment. Each element interconnected in improving the quality of a network with their respective portions. However, this framework is limited not to model testing and evaluation elements, even though this framework can be used as an SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) as a reference in development and implementation.
