"While most discoverability evaluation studies in the Library and Information Science field discuss the intersection of discovery layers and library systems, this book looks specifically at digital repositories, examining discoverability from the lenses of system structure, user searches, and external discovery avenues.
Discoverability, the ease with which information can be found by a user, is the cornerstone of all successful digital information platforms. Yet, most digital repository practitioners and researchers lack a holistic and comprehensive understanding of how and where discoverability happens. This book brings together current understandings of user needs and behaviors and poses them alongside a deeper examination of digital repositories around the theme of discoverability. It examines discoverability in digital repositories from both user and system perspectives by exploring how users access content (including their search patterns and habits, need for digital content, effects of outreach, or integration with Wikipedia and other web-based tools) and how systems support or prevent discoverability through the structure or quality of metadata, system interfaces, exposure to search engines or lack thereof, and integration with library discovery tools.
Discoverability in Digital Repositories will be particularly useful to digital repository managers, practitioners, and researchers, metadata librarians, systems librarians, and user studies, usability and user experience librarians. Additionally, and perhaps most prominently, this book is composed with the emerging practitioner in mind. Instructors and students in Library and Information Science and Information Management programs will benefit from this book that specifically addresses discoverability in digital repository systems and services."

"Abstract. Achieving excellent quality academic and administrative services is one of the efforts of the Indonesia University of Education (UPI) in building its Academic Information System (SIAK) under UPI Directorate of Information and Communication that was established on 6 July 2007. The use of Information and Communication Technology (TIK) for a system of information and academic services in higher education institution is an urgent necessity to increase the reputation of higher education institution both nationally and globally. This research aims to discover the relation, influences and analyzes the quality of academic information system quality toward user satisfaction in the Indonesia University of Education. The research use Gap Analysis and Structural Equation Model (SEM). Gap analysis results show a gap between performance and user expectation but average result of user satisfaction variable shows that respondents are satisfied with the academic information system implementation. SEM analysis result show that all research variables and indicators have significant relations, also that the academic information system quality (system quality, information quality and service quality (toward user satisfaction has a significant impact. Research discovery shows the necessity of periodical evaluation by the academic information system administrator with user participation, to ensure users need fulfillment.
Abstrak. Pencapaian pelayanan akademik dan tata kelola yang berkualitas salah satu upaya Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) membangun Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAK) yang berada pada Direktorat Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi UPI yang didirikan pada tanggal 6 Juli 2007. Pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) menjadi sistem informasi pada layanan akademik di peguruan tinggi menjadi kebutuhan yang sangat penting untuk meningkatkan reputasi perguruan tinggi baik di dalam negeri maupun global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari hubungan, pengaruh dan menganalisa kualitas sistem informasi akademik terhadap kepuasan pengguna di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis Gap dan Structural Equation Model (SEM). Hasil anilisis Gap menunjukan masih terdapat kesenjangan
antara kinerja dengan harapan pengguna tetapi hasil dari nilai rata-rata variabel kepuasan pengguna menunjukan bahwa responden merasa puas dengan implementasi sistem informasi akademik. Hasil analisis SEM menunjukan bahwa semua variabel dan indikator yang diteliti memiliki hubungan yang signifikan, begitu juga pengaruh dari kualitas sistem informasi akademik (kualitas sitem, kualitas informasi dan kualitas layanan) terhadap kepuasan pengguna memiliki pengaruh yang cukup besar. Temuan penelitian menunjukan perlu evaluasi secara berkala dari pengelola sistem informasi akademik dengan melibatkan pengguna, agar dapat memastikan bahwa kebutuhan pengguna terpenuhi."

"Hubungan antara manfaat yang dirasakan dan kepuasan pengguna pada SCELE-UI di antar siswa merupakan hal yang penting untuk diketahui sebagai salah satu evaluasi terhadap sistem SCELE-UI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara manfaat yang dirasakan dan kepuasan pengguna pada pengguna SCELE-UI. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan metode Perceived. alat pengukur Kegunaan dan Kepuasan Pengguna diadaptasi dari Mohammadi (2015). Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 212 mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia yang masih atau pernah menggunakan SCELE-UI semester ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi kegunaan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kepuasan pengguna.

The relationship between perceived benefits and user satisfaction on SCELE-UI among students is an important thing to know as one of the evaluations of the SCELE-UI system. This study aims to see the relationship between perceived benefits and user satisfaction on SCELE-UI users. This research is a quantitative research that uses the Perceived method. measuring device User Usability and Satisfaction adapted from Mohammadi (2015). This research was conducted on 212 University of Indonesia students who are still or have used SCELE-UI this semester. The results of this study indicate that perceived usefulness has a significant relationship with user satisfaction."

"Sistem informasi rumah sakit telah dikembangkan selama tiga tahun di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kota Depok namun selama sistem berjalan belum pernah dilakukan survey kepuasan pengguna terhadap sistem informasi yang digunakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat hubungan unsur end user computing satisfaction terhadap kepuasan pengguna sistem informasi rumah sakit. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif cross sectional. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari kuesioner kepada pengguna sistem informasi yang kemudian diolah.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan seluruh variabel independen, yang terdiri atas Content, Format, Accurancy, Timeliness, dan Ease of Use, memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan kepuasan pengguna. Hasil dari kepuasan pengguna menunjukkan 26 responden merasa puas dan 21 responden menyatakan tidak puas terhadap sistem informasi.
Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa masih banyak pengguna yang merasa belum puas terhadap sistem informasi rumah sakit, hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan dengan 44,7 % responden merasa tidak puas. Saran yang ditujukan untuk rumah sakit adalah ikut melibatkan perwakilan tiap unit dalam pengembangan modul, melakukan evaluasi kepuasan pengguna secara berkala, dan membentuk tim untuk melakukan pengawasan terhadap kualitas sistem informasi rumah sakit.

Hospital information system has been developed over three years at the Regional General Hospital in Depok, but as long as the system used, there is not user satisfaction surveys on the use of information systems. The purpose of this study is to see the relationship of end user computing satisfaction instrument with the user satisfaction of hospital information systems. The design used in this research is cross sectional quantitative study. The data in this study were obtained from questionnaires to users of information systems which are then processed.
Results showed all the independent variables, which is Content, Format, Accurancy, Timeliness, and Ease of Use have significant relationships with user satisfaction. The result for user satisfaction showed 26 respondents were satisfied and 21 respondents expressed unsatisfied with the information system.
This study concludes that there are still many users who are not satisfied with the hospital information system, it can be proved with 44.7% of respondents were not satisfied. The advice is intended for hospital to include representatives of each unit in participating for the development of the module, perform periodic evaluations of user satisfaction, and formed a team to control of hospital information systems quality.
