"Over the last two decades there have been numerous profound changes in UK society which have had an impact on the scale, geographies, meaning and experiences of internal migration. Providing a critical appraisal of migration scholarship from the perspective of Geography, reviewing theory, substantive foci and method, this book demonstrates how sub-national migration in the UK gives rise to and reflects new patterns of population, housing, economies and cultures. Each chapter is written by a Population Geographer together with a scholar representing another Human Geography sub-discipline thus.

"Migration, trafficking and smuggling are different issues but
inter-related. Migration may take place through regular or irregular
channels and could be freely chosen or forced upon the migrant as a means
of survival. international migration is one of the responses to the changes
of socio-economic conditions between countries as people attempt to
improve their standard of living. Social conflicts arising front the collapse
of political systems are mostly behind the movement of people, economic
tensions originating front rebuilding global capitalism are also
contributing forced labor mobility in world scale. Transnational mobility in
Southeast Asia has been made used by syndicates involved in drag
trafficking and also hunan trafficking especially women and children. This
paper attempts to elaborate interlinks between migration, the phenomena of
undocumented labor, trafficking and politics in Southeast Asia.

"This book provides examples of possible triple-win solutions for simultaneously reducing poverty, raising the quality of the environment, and adapting to climate change. The book provides empirical evidence and observations from sixteen case studies in Southeast and East Asia, and from the Pacific. It argues that a spatial approach focussing on the environments in which the poor and vulnerable live, would trigger changes for development policies and implementation that better balance environmental and social concerns. In line with the post-2015 Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) agenda, emphasizing integrated development approaches for the slum poor, the upland poor, the dryland poor, the coastal poor, and the flood-affected wetland poor, would also bring the environment and poverty agenda closer."
