Apoteker mempunyai tanggung jawab untuk memberikan informasi dan edukasi obat kepada pasien, seperti pasien dengan terapi obat jangka panjang yang memerlukan pemantauan kepatuhan dalam penggunaannya, pasien dengan kondisi khusus, pasien dengan polifarmasi serta untuk pasien yang diberikan obat-obatan dengan cara penggunaan khusus. Laporan ini berisi panduan konseling obat-obatan dengan cara penggunaan khusus yang terdapat di Puskesmas Kecamatan Kebon Jeruk.

Regulation of the Minister of Health No. 74 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards at Puskesmas, drug counselling is one of the methods of face-to-face medication education or interviews with patients and/or their families which aims to increase patient knowledge and understanding which results in changes in behaviour in the use of drugs. Pharmacists have the responsibility to provide information and drug education to patients, such as patients with long-term drug therapy that requires monitoring compliance in its use, patients with special conditions, patients with polypharmacy and for patients who are given drugs with special ways of use. This report contains guidelines for counselling medicines with special usage methods at Puskesmas Kecamatan Kebon Jeruk."
