ABSTRACT
The low coverage of cases of TB in Indonesia has an impact on thecontinuation of the process of transmission of infection with Mycobacteriumtuberculosis M.tb in the community. Students in Islamic Boarding Schools arevulnerable and are at risk populations with relatively dense residentialcharacteristics and poor environmental sanitation. Some cases of TB occurred inthe boarding school due to the low knowledge TB symptoms among students. This problem, in turn, leads to low access to health care. There is a need forinvolving the community when the government lacks the capacity to provideservices and reach out to people with TB. The same problems occur in Garut, namely the limited health resources and workforce to recruit and supervise TBpatients. The empowerment of students as a cadre of TB in a boarding school is aneffort to bridge suspected TB patients to gain access to a health facility or activeTB case finding. This study aims to determine the positive impact of empoweringstudents as TB Cadre on the accessibility of TB health services. The method usedis quantitative by using a quasi experimental design non equivalent controlgroup design, and qualitative method in the form of interviews. The study wasconducted in six boarding schools with a sample size of 493 people, Theintervention group consists of three boarding schools with 232 students, while therest of the boarding schools with 236 students was chosen as the non interventiongroup. This study proves that the empowerment of students cadre of TB in theboarding school in Garut has a significant and positive impact. It is observed thatthere was an increased in the proportion of service accessibility TB in healthfacilities as much as 41.4 in the intervention group. Students who live in theintervention group were 3.9 times more likely to access TB services in healthfacilities compared to those living in non intervention. This intervention alsomanaged to find 14 positive TB cases in the boarding school with a conversionrate and cure rate of 100 . This program needs to be replicated in other regions inIndonesia, considering that there are many boarding schools with similarconditions across Indonesia. Keywords Students, TB Cadre, Access to TB service, Islamic Boarding School"

"ABSTRACT
There is a growing interest in physical fitness lately, for physical fitness is believed to be important throughout life, to develop and maintain functional capability, to meet the demands of living and to promote optimal health (ACSM, 1968.). Physical fitness implies health plus, that is the extent to which a child or an adult is free from illness and free to work or play with maximum vigor and endurance (HALSEY & FOSTER, 1973). The interest in the physical fitness of children has also been increasing since the past decade (BARR-OR, 1989).
As a matter of fact, being physically fit is relative to the tasks in which the individual must engage. For physical fitness is mostly related to muscular work, it should be noted that some degree of muscular activity is indeed required in all kinds of work, even the most intellectual occupations. Therefore, its importance is undoubtedly true in all walks of life (ASTRAND & RODAHL, 1987).
In order to attain the desired physical performance, i.e. being fit, the human body, a biological machine, needs food for fuel. It is thus logical to expect that nutrition may well play a role in physical performance (THITGEY, CATALDO, ROLFES, 1987). Some studies have indeed supported the assumption. SATYANARAYANA et al (1977) demonstrated the relationship between body size and work output in male industrial workers. Several other studies on young boys and adolescents showed similar relationship. The subjects, recorded as having been malnourished in their early childhood, failed to perform as expected (SATYANARAYANA et al, 1979; SPURR, et al, 1983). It is then generally considered that individuals with low body weight and height may not have reached their full genetic potential as a consequence of inadequate food intake in early childhood, leading to lower capacity to perform their daily tasks.
While some findings have shown the adverse effect of under nutrition on the physical performance of the individuals later in life, little is known as to how far nutrition influences physical fitness during childhood. The idea is, the earlier the adverse effect is detected, and the sooner actions can be made. Unfortunately, data about this subject are scanty. Some experts, however, have put forward the emphasis on the well-being of a specific group - the school children, in particular those at elementary schools (ADAMS et al, 1961; AGARWAL et al, 1987).
It has been long recognized that the elementary school period is the most decisive stage in a person's life as it is at this particular time that many important norms are implanted on the learners. Moreover, the elementary school years are nutritionally significant because this period is a preparation for the rapid growth of adolescence (Mc WILLIAMS, 1974; WENCK, BAREN, DEWAN, 1984).
In the case of nutrition and physical fitness of elementary school children, the whole school community - parents, teachers, and school children -- is concerned. This is in line with the Alma Ata Declaration which states that people have the right and duty to participate individually and collectively in the planning and implementation of their healthy care (WHO, 1978). This concept has been adopted by the Indonesian government and it is reflected in the Indonesian National Health System (MINISTRY ON HEALTH R.I., 1982). The WHO-based declaration reflects the growing conviction that an individual choice of healthy lifestyle is the key factor and that emphasis should be placed on the positive actions that individuals and communities could take to maintain and promote health (STROOT, 1989). As a rule, healthy lifestyle is best to be taught during the elementary school period; but actions, nevertheless, can be expected when base-line information has been available. Only then it is hoped that parents will be convinced that "academic" performance, which has sometimes been overemphasized, would? "

"The study sought to evaluate smartwatch-based sleep quality indicators of fitness to work. Eighteen males (aged 20–26 years) were assigned to three randomized daytime sleep conditions (bad/moderate/good), which varied in terms of lighting, noise, and temperature, for a six-hour period. After this daytime sleep, participants completed simulated computer tasks during a 12-hour nighttime waking period. Prior to those tasks, participants’ fitness to work was determined by subjective measures that included the Sleep Quality Index-Karolinska Sleep Diary (SQI-KSD)), the Psychomotor Vigilance Task (PVT)), and the Karolinska Sleepiness Scale (KSS) to measure drowsiness. Total sleep time (TST), light sleep quantity (LSQ), deep sleep quantity (DSQ), and REM sleep quantity (REMSQ) were recorded using a smartwatch. The results confirmed that TST, LSQ, and SQI-KSD can be used as measures of sleep quality and fitness to work (p < 0.05)."

Teachers are considered a profession with low level of physical activity at work (low occupational activity). Sedentary behavior, high consumption of fat and carbohydrates, obesity, and stress due to workload cause a relatively high prevalence of hypertension among this group, especially elementary school teachers. One way that has been proven to be effective and efficient to tackle this issue is through workplace-based health intervention (workplace wellness program/WWP). However, the program, especially for controlling blood pressure (BP), has yet to exist. This study aims to develop a WWP model, assess its applicability, and its effect on hypertension control. The research was conducted in March 2021-March 2022 through 3 stages, namely systematic studies and expert seminars (FGD) for model development and pre and post one group studies for trials. The model elements are arranged according to supplier-input-process-outcome-customer (SIPOC). There were 44 teachers as research subjects in 3 school locations, namely SDN Kenari 01, Kramat 01, and Kramat 06 in Senen District, Central Jakarta. The intervention was carried out for 3 months to assess the efficacy and effect of the model on blood control and its risk factors. Statistical analysis used are paired t test and Wilcoxon.
The research succeeded to develop Model Penggunaan Skrining sebagai Umpan balik bagi Guru untuk Monitoring mengAtasi tekanan darah tinggi (SUGMA) that uses a multicomponent approach to achieve changes in individual health behavior in the workplace. The test results show that the model is suitable to be used because all components of the intervention has been successfully applied, the participation rate is > 50%, satisfaction is > 4 on a Likert scale, and DO is < 10%. The model is successful in decreasing systolic and diastolic BP (p < 0.05), increasing DASH behavior (p < 0.000) and walking activity (p < 0.05), and decreasing the urinary sodium/creatinine ratio among teachers whose BP was under control (p < 0.05). The model had no effect on decreasing BMI, knowledge, intention/motivation, total PA behavior, and urinary sodium/creatinine ratio over time in all subjects (p > 0.05). Further research is still needed for evaluation. Besides within the research corridor, the utilization of the model for general practitioners in primary care can already be used as an alternative in the development of workplace-based health promotion programs in overcoming chronic diseases such as hypertension. Stakeholder coordination and collaboration, across sectors and programs, are needed to expand coverage and sustainability.
