"Pemeriksaan estradiol di laboratorium pusat RSUPNCM menggunakan serum. Walaupun pemeriksaan estradiol kurang memerlukan TAT yang cepat, namun seringkali pemeriksaan estradiol bersamaan pemeriksaan lain yang membutuhkan TAT cepat. Penggunaan plasma dapat menjadi alternatif karena TAT lebih cepat. Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui perbandingan kadar estradiol menggunakan serum dan plasma tanpa dan dengan gel pemisah serta melihat gambaran kadar estradiol pada laki-laki, perempuan pasca menopause dini, dan lanjut yang belum ada datanya di Indonesia. Pemeriksaan estradiol menggunakan alat Cobas c601 metode ECLIAs dari 60 subjek masing-masing ditampung dengan tiga tabung penampung berbeda, sampel serum dari tabung penampung dengan clot activator tabung I dan sampel plasma baik dari tabung penampung tanpa gel pemisah tabung II , dan dengan gel pemisah tabung III . Karakteristik kadar estradiol pada pria, wanita pasca menopause dini, dan lanjut disajikan secara deskriptif analitik. Median, nilai minimum ndash; maksimum, kadar estradiol tabung I 24,55 5 ndash; 472,60 pg/mL, tabung II 24,16 5 ndash; 468,60 pg/mL, tabung III 22,99 5- 438,8 pg/mL. Perbedaan kadar estradiol pada ketiga tabung penampung sampel didapatkan nilai p = 0,89. Pada penelitian ini kadar estradiol pada laki-laki memiliki median, nilai minimum-maksimum, 21,5 5 ndash; 40,33 pg/mL, perempuan pasca menopause dini dan lanjut masing-masing memiliki median 5 5 ndash; 191,7 pg/mL, dan 5 5 ndash; 34,8 pg/mL. Kesimpulan, tidak terdapat perbedaan bermakna kadar estradiol dari ketiga tabung penampung.

Examination of estradiol at central laboratory of RSUPNCM using serum. Although the examination of estradiol requires less rapid TAT, but often the examination of estradiol coincides with other tests requiring rapid TAT. The use of plasma can be an alternative because TAT is faster. This study wanted to know the comparison of estradiol levels using serum and plasma without and with gel separation and to see the estradiol content of male, early, and late post menopausal women who had no data in Indonesia. Examination of estradiol using the Cobas c601 method of ECLIAs of 60 subjects each was accommodated with three different tube containers, serum samples from the collecting tube with clot activator tube I and plasma samples from tubes without gel separator tube II , and with gel separator tube III . Characteristics of estradiol levels in men, early and late postmenopausal women presented in descriptive analytic. Median, maximum value maximum, tubular estradiol value I 24.55 5 472.60 pg mL, tube II 24.16 5 468.60 pg mL, tube III 22.99 5 438 , 8 pg mL. Differences of estradiol levels in the three sample container tubes obtained p value 0.89. In this study estradiol levels in males had median, maximum maximum values, 21.5 5 40.33 pg mL, early and late postmenopausal women had a median of 5 5 191.7 pg mL, and 5 5 34.8 pg mL respectively. In conclusion, there was no significant difference in estradiol levels from the three container tubes."
