                           "This book demonstrates the implementation of an automated measuring system for very efficient measurement of chromatic dispersion, which uses a modulation phase shift method over long haul of optical single mode fiber. The authors show how a new scheme for measuring chromatic dispersion is adopted in conjunction with a tunable laser (TLS), providing the optical power at required wavelength and digital oscilloscope (DOSC) for measuring the phase difference between microwave signals from transmitter and microwave signals at the receiver. This is a novel approach for real-time chromatic dispersion in optical systems such as optical fibers. The setup used is very simple, accurate and cost effective, compared to other methods such as direct measurement, differential mode delay, polarization mode dispersion measurement and phase delay method.                            "Pada penelitian ini, dibuat sistem pengukuran magneto-optical Kerr effect (MOKE) yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis sifat magnet dari film tipis CoFeB. Sinyal Kerr didapatkan dengan mengukur intensitas cahaya terpolarisasi yang melewati polarizing beam splitter (PBS) setelah dipantulkan oleh film tipis CoFeB, seperti yang ditunjukkan pada Gambar 1. Dalam penelitian digunakan tiga variabel panjang gelombang berbeda dari laser RGB sebagai sumber cahaya dan BH1750 digunakan untuk mengukur intensitas cahaya yang telah dipantulkan oleh sampel. Intensitas sumber cahaya yang diberikan, pemilihan panjang gelombang dan pengukuran intensitas cahaya dapat dikendalikan dengan mikrokontroler. Untuk melengkapi pengamatan, medan medan magnet yang diterapkan menggunakan constant current power supply sebagai sumber arus dan rapat medan magnet diukur dengan Gauss meter. Kurva histerisis CoFeB diamati untuk menganalisis dan menentukan karakteristik sistem agar didapatkan pengukuran yang optimal. Sistem pengukuran bekerja secara otomatis, seperti data intensitas cahaya dari IC BH1750 diperoleh menggunakan mikrokontroler dan akuisisi data diproses menggunakan LabVIEW.
In this research, a magneto-optical Kerr effect (MOKE) measurement system is made to analyze the magnetic properties of CoFeb thin film. The Kerr signal is obtained by measuring the polarized light  that passed through the polarizing beam splitter (PBS) that was reflected by CoFeB thin film, as shown in Gambar 2. In this work, a RGB laser is used as the light sources with three different wavelengths and the light intensity that is reflected by the sample is measured by BH1750. To complete the observation, the applied magnetic field is observed by using Gauss meter with current source which given by constant current power supply. Hysteresis loop of CoFeb from the measurement were observed to analyze and determine the characteristic of the system to get the optimal measurements. All the measurements system worked automatically such as, the data of light intensity from Lux meter BH1750 is being acquired by using a microcontroller and the data acquisition is processed by using LabVIEW.
