Observables of topological defects in the universe can be studied by examining its spacetime. The most obvious properties of spacetime for the detection of such objects would be the gravitational lensing. One of the likely type of topological defect to exist is the cosmic string. The tension of the string could be balanced by a current flowing inside it, possibly forming a stable loop called vorton. The existence of these objects is predicted both in the Witten gauge $U(1)\times U(1)$ model and electroweak $SU(2)\times U(1)$ theory. In this study, the spacetime of superconducting string loop is examined, starting from the metric solution of a circular chiral vorton, its gravitational lensing effect, and the lensing image of various families of chiral vorton solutions using the thin lens approximation. We also analyze the dynamics of superconducting string loop in the Kerr-Newman spacetime background."

"This two-part book is devoted to classic fundamentals and current practices and perspectives of modern plasma astrophysics. This first part uniquely covers all the basic principles and practical tools required for understanding and work in plasma astrophysics. More than 25% of the text is updated from the first edition, including new figures, equations and entire sections on topics such as magnetic reconnection and the Grad-Shafranov equation.

"This book is about the American moon-landings - and about the doubts expressed ever since concerning the reality of these landings. Were the moon landings really just a huge and cleverly executed hoax? Eversberg explains the best-known claims and conspiracy theories and analyses the evidence with the help of detailed full-colour images, as well as numerous film documents that can be accessed directly from the book. He addresses both the persistent older claims and more recently devised doubts.
The book will inform and entertain a wide range of readers interested in space exploration and tells a gripping story covering physics, politics and history."

"This volume summarizes the recent results of the exploration of venus, mars and titan in the field of space plasma physics. These are the only non-magnetic solar system bodies having dense atmospheres. A number of space missions investigated these objects; the past and the current missions are put in context with modern theoretical descriptions. The strength of the book is the comparison of the similarities and differences in the plasma interaction of venus, mars and titan."
