"Meningkatnya daya saing untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan yang terjadi saat ini, menjadi tantangan bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir untuk mengembangkan karier. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti peran perilaku eksplorasi karier dalam memediasi pengaruh dukungan teman terhadap adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Responden penelitian berjumlah 538 mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang berada pada semester 6 hingga semester lebih dari 8, dan 69% berjenis kelamin perempuan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode convenience sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga alat ukur, yakni Career Related Peer Support (Zhang & Huang, 2018), Career Exploration Survey (Salim & Preston, 2019) dan Career Adapt-Ability Scale (Sulistiani, Suminar, & Hendriani, 2018). Pengolahan data dilakukan menggunakan simple mediation model 4 PROCESS for SPPS by Hayes (2013) menunjukkan perilaku eksplorasi karier memediasi hubungan antara dukungan teman dengan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Dibuktikan dengan nilai indirect effect sebesar (ab=0.21) dan signifikan tidak melewati angka nol (LLCI-ULCI=0.14-0.28). Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa perilaku eksplorasi karier memiliki peran dalam memediasi hubungan antara dukungan teman dengan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Implikasi dari penelitian ini dapat menjadi masukan bagi pihak bimbingan karier di perguruan tinggi untuk menyediakan berbagai aktivitas terkait perilaku eksplorasi karier agar mahasiswa tingkat akhir dapat memiliki adaptabilitas karier yang baik

The increasing competitiveness to get a job that is happening today is a challenge for final year students to develop a career. The purpose of this study was to examine the role of career exploration behavior in mediating the effect of peer support on career adaptability in final year students. Research respondents totaled 538 final year students who were in semester 6 to more than 8 semesters, and 69% were female. Sampling was done by convenience sampling method. This study uses three measuring tools, namely Career Related Peer Support (Zhang & Huang, 2018), Career Exploration Survey (Salim & Preston, 2019) and Career Adapt-Ability Scale (Sulistiani, Suminar, & Hendriani, 2018). Data processing was carried out using simple mediation model 4 PROCESS for SPPS by Hayes (2013) showing career exploration behavior mediating the relationship between peer support and career adaptability in final year students. It is proven by the indirect effect value of (ab=0.21) and significantly does not exceed zero (LLCI-ULCI=0.14-0.28). The results of this study explain that career exploration behavior has a role in mediating the relationship between peer support and career adaptability in final year students"

"Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran adaptabilitas karier dalam memediasi hubungan antara eksplorasi karier dan keyakinan terhadap keputusan karier, sehingga mampu mendukung mahasiswa sarjana tingkat akhir untuk memiliki keyakinan terhadap keputusan karier. Partisipan penelitian merupakan mahasiswa sarjana tingkat akhir yang menempuh studi di perguruan tinggi Indonesia dan sudah memiliki pengalaman eksplorasi karier dalam kurun waktu minimal enam bulan (n = 105). Metode analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah percentile bootstrapping method dengan perangkat lunak PROCESS milik Hayes. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa eksplorasi karier memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung pada keyakinan terhadap keputusan karier melalui adaptabilitas karier sebagai mediator (ab = 0,189, CI = 99%, LLCI = 0,045, ULCI = 0,432). Individu yang telah melaksanakan eksplorasi karier akan memiliki kemampuan adaptabilitas karier dan mereka yang mampu menghadapi tantangan karier dapat merasa yakin pada keputusan karier yang dibuat. Limitasi dari penelitian ini adalah tidak adanya penjelasan konteks spesifik dari eksplorasi karier yang dilakukan oleh partisipan. Hasil penelitian dapat digunakan oleh otoritas perguruan tinggi dan pihak terkait untuk mengimplementasikan kegiatan eksplorasi karier bagi para mahasiswanya sejak semester awal.

Fresh graduates in Indonesia often experience negative impacts of undecidedness toward their career decisions in the last year of their study, such as job hopping and unemployment. This study aims to explain the role of career adaptability in mediating the relationship between career exploration and career decidedness. The participants of this study are Indonesian university’s undergraduates who have engaged in career exploration for six months or more (n = 105). The statistical analysis method used in this study is the percentile bootstrapping method using PROCESS founded by Hayes. The result shows that career exploration has an indirect effect on career decidedness through career adaptability as the mediator (ab = 0,189, CI = 99%, LLCI = 0,045, ULCI = 0,432). Individuals who have done career exploration will have career adaptability, and those who can adapt to their career challenges will feel decided with the career decision they have made. The limitation of this study is the absence of explanation regarding the specific context of the participants' career explorations. This study can be used by higher education institution authorities and related parties to implement career exploration programs for their students that can increase the students’ career adaptability and career decidedness."

"Masa transisi dari perkuliahan ke dunia kerja merupakan periode yang penuh tantangan bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Masa transisi ini seringkali diwarnai dengan berbagai ketidakpastian dan perubahan, sehingga menuntut individu untuk memiliki kemampuan beradaptasi yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran career decision self-efficacy dalam memediasi hubungan antara parental career-related behavior dan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian non-eksperimental. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program sarjana (N=256) dari berbagai universitas di Jabodetabek yang sedang menempuh semester 6 atau lebih. Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale – Short Form (CDSE-SF), Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS), Parental Career-Related Behavior Scale (PCB-S) menjadi alat ukur dalam penelitian ini. Pengolahan data dilakukan menggunakan Pearson Correlation dan macro PROCESS dari Hayes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa career decision self-efficacy dapat menjadi variabel mediator parsial dalam hubungan antara support parental career-related behavior dengan adaptabilitas karier, dan menjadi mediator penuh dalam hubungan antara interference dan lack of engagement parental career-related behavior dengan adaptabilitas karier. Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi bahwa peningkatan career decision self-efficacy dan dukungan karier dari orang tua dapat meningkatkan adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini memberikan manfaat bagi pengembangan karier di perguruan tinggi, mahasiswa, dan orang tua.

The transition from college to the workforce is a challenging period for senior year college students. These transitional periods are often colored with a variety of uncertainties and changes, thus demanding that individuals have good adaptability. This study aims to examine the role of career decision self-efficacy in mediating the relationship between parental career-related behavior and career adaptability among senior year college students. This is a quantitative study with a non-experimental research design. Purposive sampling was used to collect data from 256 undergraduate students from various universities in the Jabodetabek area who were in their 6th semester or higher. The research instruments used were the Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale – Short Form (CDSE-SF), Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS), and Parental Career-Related Behavior Scale (PCB-S). Data analysis was conducted using Pearson Correlation and Hayes' macro PROCESS. The results of this study showed that career decision self-efficacy can be a partial mediator in the relationship between support parental career-related behavior and career adaptability, and a full mediator in the relationship between interference and lack of engagement parental career-related behavior and career adaptability. This research has implications that improved career decision self-efficacy and support parental career related behavior can improve the career adaptability of senior year college students. This study provides benefits for career development in higher education, students, and parents."

"Mahasiswa yang baru lulus (freshgraduates) merasa kesulitan untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan yang disebabkan oleh kesenjangan ekspektasi antara perusahaan dengan kompetensi yang dimiliki mahasiswa freshgraduate, terutama pada masa transisi dari dunia perkuliahan ke dunia kerja. Mahasiswa dianggap tidak siap dan kurang memiliki kepercayaan diri, serta kurang mengeksplorasi kariernya sebelum melalui masa transisi (Nghia, 2018). Keberhasilan mahasiswa pada masa transisi akan menentukan kesuksesannya dalam berkarier di masa depan (Koen et al., 2012). Peneliti mengajukan bahwa permasalahan ini dapat diatasi dengan memiliki adaptabilitas karier yang baik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional (N = 466) dengan tujuan melihat bagaimana dukungan sosial dapat meningkatkan adaptabilitas karier melalui adversity quotient pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang berkuliah di daerah Jabodetabek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial memprediksi adaptabilitas karier. Adversity quotient terbukti memediasi sebagian hubungan kedua variabel tersebut dengan ditemukannya signifikansi pada indirect effect pada analisis mediasi.

Many freshgraduates experience difficulties in obtaining jobs right after graduating due to the existence of gap between the expectation of employer and the skills possessed by freshgraduates. This condition frequently occurs in the transition period to working world. These freshgraduates are considered lacking in confidence, readiness, and self exploration to enter the working world (Nghia, 2018). The quality of getting through the transition period would determine future career success of freshgraduates (Koen et al., 2012). This research proposes that this issue can be tackled by possessing career adaptability. This correlational research (N = 466) aims to discover how social support would play a role in elevating career adaptability through adversity quotient of final year student in Jabodetabek area. Results showed that social support predicted career adaptability. Furthermore, adversity quotient also played a role in mediating the relationship of both variables. This is proved by the significance of indirect effect in mediation analysis."

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat peran career exploration dalam memediasi hubungan antara support dan interference parental career-related behavior dengan lack of information career decision-making difficulties pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian non-eksperimental. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 413 mahasiswa tingkat akhir dari beberapa fakultas di Universitas Indonesia. Support dan interference parental career-related behavior diukur dengan Parental Career-Related Behavior Instrument (Dietrich & Kracke, 2009), career exploration diukur dengan Career Exploration Survey (Stumpf, Colarelli, & Hartman, 1983), dan lack of information career decision-making difficulties diukur dengan Career Decision-Making Difficulties Questionnaire (Gati & Saka, 2001). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa career exploration berperan secara parsial dalam memediasi hubungan antara support dan interference parental career-related behavior dengan lack of information career decision-making difficulties pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi bahwa perilaku orang tua terkait karier anak yang dirasa mendukung (support) atau terlalu banyak mengatur (interference) dapat berpengaruh terhadap perilaku mahasiswa tingkat akhir dalam mencari informasi mengenai karier sehingga berdampak pada tingkat kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier mahasiswa karena kurangnya informasi. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini memberikan beberapa manfaat bagi pusat pengembangan karier di perguruan tinggi.

The difficulties of career decision-making among senior year college student could have impact their future career success. In Indonesia, The difficulties of career decision-making among senior year college student are more caused by lack of information. The parents role and involvement among senior year college student, especially in collectivism culture, could affect their childrens behavior in searching information about career and this could have impacts to their career decision-making difficulties that caused by lack of information. This research was conducted to find the role career exploration in mediating the relationship between support and interference parental career-related behavior with lack of information career decision-making difficulties on senior year college student. This research is quantitative study with non-experimental study design. Participants of this research were 413 senior year college students from several faculties in Universitas Indonesia. Support dan interference parental career-related behavior were measured by Parental Career-Related Behavior Instrument (Dietrich & Kracke, 2009), career exploration was measured by Career Exploration Survey (Stumpf, Colarelli, & Hartman, 1983), and lack of information career decision-making difficulties were measured by Career Decision-Making Difficulties Questionnaire (Gati & Saka, 2001). The result shows that career exploration mediating partially the relationship between support and interference parental career-related behavior with lack of information career decision-making difficulties on senior year college student. This research has implication that parents behavior that related to childrens career which is perceived supporting or interfering affects senior year college students behavior in searching information about career so that gives impact on their level of career decision-making difficulties that caused by lack of information. Moreover, the results of this study give some benefits for career development center in university."

membantu mahasiswa untuk menghadapi tugas yang diprediksi maupun tidak diprediksi di
dunia kerja nantinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh perilaku eksplorasi
karier dan kongruensi karier orangtua-anak pada adaptabilitas karier secara bersamaan dan melihat variabel mana yang lebih berkontribusi pada adaptabilitas karier. Partisipan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa semester akhir, mulai dari semester 6 di
Jabodetabek (N = 538). Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Career Adapt-Abilities Scale, Career Exploration Behavior, dan The Adolescent-Parent Career Congruence. Data yang diperoleh kemudian di analisis menggunakan uji regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan secara bersamaan perilaku eksplorasi
karier (t = 6.545, B = 0.315, p < 0.001) dan kongruensi karier orangtua-anak (t =4.752, B=0.195, p < 0.001) pada adaptabilitas karier. Penelitian juga menunjukkan kontribusi perilaku eksplorasi karier lebih besar pada adaptabilitas karier dibandingkan kongruensi karier orangtua-anak. Hasil penelitian dapat digunakan untuk mahasiswa dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan adaptabilitas karier melalui kegiatan eksplorasi dan kongruensi.

Career adaptability can help the college students todeal with the predicted and unpredictable tasks in the workforce later. This study aims to investigate the effects between career exploration behavior and parent-child career congruence simultaneously on career adaptability. The participants involved in this research were 538 college students spread over Jabodetabek. Career Exploration Behavior, Career Adapt-Abilities Scale, and The Adolescent-Parent Career Congruence were used toassessparticipants’ exploration behavior, career adaptability, and career congruence. Data were analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression. Results of this research indicated that career exploration behavior (t = 6.545, B = 0.315, p < 0.001) and parent-child career congruence(t =4.752, B = 0.195, p < 0.001) simultaneously affect career adaptability. The results showed that career exploration behavior gives a greater contribution than parent-child career congruence on career adaptability. This study is applicable for college students to improvetheir career adaptability through exploration activities and congruence"

"Persaingan era globalisasi saat ini menuntut individu lebih adaptif dalam menjalani karier. Adaptabilitas karier merupakan salah satu konstruk terkait psikologi karier yang berfokus untuk membantu individu mengawasi perkembangan karier semasa hidupnya. Asumsi yang ditegakkan adalah untuk mempunyai adaptabilitas karier, mahasiswa perlu memiliki bayangan yang jelas, spesifik dan mudah dibayangkan, diwakilkan oleh future work self. Selanjutnya, efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier diduga dapat memediasi hubungan future work self terhadap adaptabilitas karier. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 263 orang mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang minimal berada di semester tujuh perguruan tinggi.
Dalam penelitian ini, adaptabilitas karier diukur dengan Career Adapt-abilities Scale-International Form (CAAS-IF), future work self diukur dengan Future Work Self Saliance (FWSS) dan efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier diukur dengan Career Decision Self-Efficacy–Short Form (CDSE-SF). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa future work self memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan adaptabilitas karier, serta hubungan ini merupakan mediasi parsial melalui efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan beberapa manfaat bagi pusat pengembangan karier di perguruan tinggi.

Competition in the current era of globalization requires individuals to be more adaptive in their careers. Career adaptability is one of the constructs related to career psychology that focuses on helping individuals monitor career development during their lifetime. The assumption is to have a career adaptability, college students need to have clear, specific and easy to imagine images, represented by future work self. Furthermore, self-efficacy in career decisions is thought to mediated future work self relations with career adaptability. This research was conducted on 263 final years college students who were at least in the seventh semester of the university.
In this research, career adaptability was measured by Career Adapt-abilities Scale-International Form (CAAS-IF), future work self was measured by Future Work Self Saliance (FWSS), and career decision self-efficacy was measured by Career Decision Self-Efficacy–Short Form (CDSE-SF). The results showed that future work self has a strong relationship with career adaptability, and this relationship is a partial mediation through self-efficacy in career decisions. The results of this study give some benefits for career development center in university.

"Kesiapan kerja menjadi masalah yang dialami oleh mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Indonesia. Eksplorasi karier sebagai faktor yang dapat meningkatkan kesiapan kerja dinilai kurang maksimal dilakukan oleh mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Indonesia. Adanya atribut internal dari dalam diri diharapkan dapat membuat kesiapan kerja mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Indonesia meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran psychological capital sebagai moderator pada hubungan antara eksplorasi karier dan kesiapan kerja. Partisipan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 159 orang yang merupakan mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Variabel dalam penelitian ini diukur menggunakan Work Readiness Scale, Career Exploration Survey, dan Psychological Capital Questionnaire Short-Form 12. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa psychological capital tidak memiliki peran sebagai moderator dalam hubungan antara eksplorasi karier dan kesiapan kerja (β = 0.07, p = 0.10). Penelitian selanjutnya, dapat menggunakan sampel yang lebih spesifik pada mahasiswa yang memiliki pengalaman kerja sehingga pengukuran psychological capital pada mahasiswa dalam konteks lingkungan kerja menjadi lebih valid.

Work readiness is an issue faced by final-year students in Indonesia. Career exploration, a factor that can enhance work readiness, is often not maximized by these students. Internal attributes, such as psychological capital, are expected to improve work readiness among final-year students in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the role of psychological capital as a moderator in the relationship between career exploration and work readiness. The participants in this study consisted of 159 final-year students. The variables were measured using the Work Readiness Scale, Career Exploration Survey, and Psychological Capital Questionnaire Short-Form 12. The results showed that psychological capital did not play a moderating role in the relationship between career exploration and work readiness (β = 0.07, p = 0.10). Future research should use a more specific sample of students with work experience to ensure more valid measurement of psychological capital in the context of the work environment."

"Daya saing antar manusia dan teknologi digital menyebabkan pasar tenaga kerja menjadi lebih kompetitif dan ambigu, khususnya bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang akan memasuki dunia kerja sehingga diperlukan Career Adaptability (CA). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji peran Career Decision Self Efficacy (CDSE) dalam memediasi proactive personality dan CA pada 175 mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang telah mengikuti program magang Kampus Merdeka. Hasil mediation analysis menunjukkan tidak terdapat direct effect proactive personality terhadap CA (c’ = -0,1082; p > 0,05). Namun, terdapat indirect effect melalui mediasi CDSE (ab = 0,8939; p < 0,001). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa program magang Kampus Merdeka membantu mahasiswa menghadapi dinamika industri yang terus berubah dengan memfasilitasi peningkatan proactive personality, CDSE, CA serta mengurangi kesenjangan antara perguruan tinggi dan dunia kerja.

This research was conducted to examine the role of Career Decision Self Efficacy (CDSE) in mediating between proactive personality and CA in 175 final year students who had participated in the Kampus Merdeka internship program. The mediation analysis showed no direct role of proactive personality on CA (c’ = -0.1082; p > 0.05). However, there was an indirect role through mediation by CDSE (ab = 0.8939; p < 0.001). These findings suggest that the Kampus Merdeka internship program aids students in dealing with the evolving dynamics of the industry by facilitating improvements in proactive personality, CDSE, and CA, thus reducing the gap between university and the workforce."

"Mahasiswa yang telah memiliki keputusan karier di saat menempuh pendidikan tinggi ditemukan mendapatkan kemudahan dalam menjalani kehidupan karier pada tahap selanjutnya karena lebih mudahnya mengenali peluang karier yang hadir setelah menyelesaikan masa studi (Ya'ar & Sunay, 2020). Terlebih lagi, era revolusi industri 4.0 memberikan tantangan karier yang semakin besar kepada para mahasiswa, dimana persaingan kini terjadi pada lingkup global dan kemampuan yang dibutuhkan dari sumber daya manusia menjadi semakin kompleks. Maka dari itu, keputusan karier sangat dibutuhkan sebagai faktor pendukung agar individu dapat bertahan di dunia karier saat ini. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh kepribadian proaktif sebagai moderator dalam hubungan antara peerrelatedness dan keputusan karier. Peneliti menggunakan adaptasi Bahasa Indonesia dari alat ukur The Youth Relatedness Scale untuk mengukur peer-relatedness, Proactive Personality Scale untuk mengukur kepribadian proaktif, dan Career Decision Profile untuk mengukur keputusan karier. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 472 orang mahasiswa S1 pada jenjang tingkat akhir dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kepribadian proaktif memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dalam memoderasi hubungan antara peer-relatedness dan keputusan karier mahasiswa tingkat akhir (p < 0.05). Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat memberikan implikasi bagi para pembimbing akademis, dosen, maupun mahasiswa mengenai pentingnya menerapkan kepribadian proaktif pada hubungan pertemanan dengan teman sebaya selama proses perencanaan dan penentuan keputusan karier mahasiswa tingkat akhir.

Students who have made career decisions while pursuing universities found easier to live their career life at a later stage because it is easier to recognize career opportunities that come after completing the study period (Yaşar & Sunay, 2020). What's even more, the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 provides a bigger career challenge for students, where competition is now happening on a global scale and the skills needed from human capital is becoming increasingly complex. Therefore, career decidedness is needed as a main factor, so that students can survive in today's career. This research is a quantitative study that aims to see the influence of proactive personality as a moderator in the relationship between peer-relatedness and career decidedness. In this study, researchers used the Indonesian adaptation of The Youth Relatedness Scale to measure peer-relatedness, the Proactive Personality Scale to measure proactive personality, and the Career Decision Profile to measure career decidedness. The sample in this study amounted to 472 final year students from various areas in Indonesia. The results of the data analysis showed that proactive personality had a significant influence in moderating the relationship between peer-relatedness and career decidedness (p <0.05). The results of this study have implications for academic supervisors, lecturers, and students regarding the importance of applying proactive personality for peer relationships during the career planning and career decision making process of final year students."
