"'Makerspace' adalah ruang komunitas untuk kreatifitas, kolaborasi, belajar dengan membuat dan pendidikan sains informal. Makerspace tumbuh dalam jumlah banyak di amerika dan menyebar ke seluruh dunia seperti pergerakan. Makalah ini mengesplorasi bagaimana Makedonia dari yang hanya menawarkan ruang 'bekerja-bersama' diproyeksikan untuk mengadaptasi budaya makerspace dengan ruang lingkungan bengkel, fasilitas membuat prototype dengan cepat, aktivitas sains informal untuk 'innovasi bersama' dan 'Komersialisasi bersama' dengan jaringan komunitas 'makerspace' dan 'Crowd Innovation'. Makalah ini merekonstruksi element model bisnis menggunakan 'Menemukan ulang model bisnis' yang dikembangkan oleh Johnson Christensen dan Kagermann. Beberapa element adalah keterkaitan antara 'customer value proposition' dari 'makerspace', proses penting dari rekrutmen anggota, sumber daya penting manusia dan peralatan teknologi serta rumusan profit.

"Inovasi telah menjadi hal vital dalam menjaga keberlangsungan organisasi dalam jangka panjang. Dalam menciptakan inovasi, perguruan tinggi berperan sebagai aktor utama dalam memberikan hasil penelitian dan inovasi dari sumberdaya unggul yang dimilikinya. Sebagai Universitas yang menyandang nama bangsa, UI memiliki tanggung jawab besar untuk berkontribusi dalam penciptaan inovasi di Indonesia. Dalam rangka meningkatkan inovasi di UI, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor pendorong dan penghambat yang mempengaruhi proses inovasi khususnya inovasi produk di UI agar dapat merumuskan strategi dalam peningkatan inovasi.  Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui teknik pengumpulan data mixed method dengan survey dan wawancara kepada aktor inovasi di Universitas Indonesia yang terdiri dari mahasiswa, dosen, dan tenaga  kependidikan.  Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa faktor pendorong proses inovasi yang paling tinggi dirasakan adalah kebebasan dalam berinovasi, munculnya unit khusus terkait inovasi, dan dukungan dalam bentuk pelatihan dan pengembangan keterampilan. sedangkan faktor penghambat proses inovasi yang paling tinggi dirasakan adalah praktik manajemen inovasi yang berbeda di tiap fakultas, birokrasi pemerintah yang rumit dan tidak transparan, serta budaya organisasi di UI yang terlalu birokratis.

Innovation has become crucial in maintaining the long-term sustainability of organizations. In creating innovation, universities play a key role as the main actors in providing research results and innovations from their excellent resources. As a university bearing the nation's name, Universitas Indonesia has a great responsibility to contribute to the creation of innovation in Indonesia. In order to enhance innovation at UI, this research aims to analyze the driving factors and barriers that influence innovation process, especially product innovation at UI, to formulate strategies for enhancing innovation. This study utilized quantitative approach with mixed method data collecting method through surveys and interviews to innovation actors at the University of Indonesia, including students, lecturers, and educational staff. The study found that the highest perceived drivers of innovation process are freedom in innovation, the emergence of specialized units related to innovation, and support in the form of training and skill development. Meanwhile, the highest perceived barriers to innovation barriers are differing innovation management practices in each faculty, complex and non-transparent government bureaucracy, and an overly bureaucratic organizational culture at UI."

"Tesis ini membahas tentang bagaimana inovasi yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan startup dapat memberikan pengaruh kepada Venture Capital berminat untuk memberikan dana kepada perusahaan startup tersebut. Perusahaan startup di Indonesia saat ini banyak yang berbasis teknologi.. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan melalui Interview. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 4 perusahaan startup yang didanai oleh Venture Capital yang terdiri dari Tech in Asia, Pedals.id, Taralite, dan perusahaan yang tidak dapat disebutkan namanya (perusahaan XYZ). Interview dilakukan di berbeda waktu dan tempat oleh masing-masing narasumber dari perusahaan tersebut. Hasil penelitian yang didapat adalah jika perusahaan startup mengimplementasikan inovasinya dengan melibatkan banyak pihak di perusahaan tersebut, maka semakin tinggi juga minat dari perusahaan Venture Capital dalam memberikan pendanaan dan pendampingan manajemen berupa pemantauan dan saran yang dapat membuat perusahaan startup tersebut dapat berkembang......This thesis concerns analysis of the innovation process given by Indonesian Start-ups Invested by Venture Capital Firms or Angel Investor, whether or not the intention of Venture Capital invest, including the requirement from Venture Capitals to the start-ups in order to get the next stage of financing. As awareness of the importance of technology increased, many Indonesian start-ups was established, most of them are technology-based companies. These companies’ needs of funding are not something very easy to met. Therefore, approachment to Venture Capital or Angel Investor can be met as all the startups in order to develop and compete with others in long term. Innovation should be required in the process and could make a consideration for Venture Capital and Angel Investor to fund. This research uses qualitative method by conducting in-depth interviews. The unit of analysis are Indonesian start-ups funded by Venture Capıtals or Angel Investor. Object of analysis are 4 (four) Indonesian startups. Participants of the study are four representatives of four start-ups who occupy a strategic position to be able to understand the innovation process of each start-ups. We found that Indonesian start-ups financed by Venture Capıtals or angel investor implement their innovation by involving all of company’s stakeholder that can trigger willingness of Venture Capıtal or Angel Investor to give advice in all aspects."

"Tesis ini berjudul 'Pengaruh Kapabilitas Inovasi dan Manajemen Inovasi terhadap Kinerja Inovasi Organisasi Pemerintahan'. Inovasi dapat mempengaruhi dan meningkatkan kinerja organisasi baik itu di sektor swasta maupun di sektor publik, sementara kinerja organisasi melalui manajemen inovasi tidak dapat dicapai pula tanpa adanya sumber daya dan kapabilitas yang mendukung organisasi khususnya dalam kondisi lingkungan yang berubah. Tesis ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan menjelaskan peran kapabilitas inovasi dalam pengelolaaan manajemen inovasi organisasi sektor publik dan dampaknya terhadap kinerja inovasi organisasi pemerintahan. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif, di mana data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui survei kuesioner dari para kelompok kerja unit layanan pengadaan (Pokja ULP) Layanan Pengadaan Secara Elektronik (LPSE) yang ada di berbagai unit kerja utama pada lingkungan Sekretariat Jenderal Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa strategi inovasi dan pembelajaran organisasi mempengaruhi pengembangan kapabilitas inovasi, sementara kapabilitas inovasi mempengaruhi keseluruhan tahap pada manajemen inovasi. Selanjutnya manajemen inovasi juga berpengaruh terhadap keseluruhan dimensi kinerja inovasi organisasi.

The title of this thesis is 'The influences of innovation capabilities and innovation management to the innovation performance of government organization'. Innovation can affect and improve the performance of both organizations in the private sector as well as in the public sector, while the organization performance through innovation management can not be achieved without the availability of the resources and capabilities that support the organization, especially in changing environmental conditions.

The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the role of innovation capabilities on innovation management of public sector organization and its effect to the innovation performance of government organization.   This research using quantitative approach methods, through questionnaire survey to the team work of Electronic Procurement Service Unit on The Secretariat General of The Ministry of Education and Culture.

The results of this study found that innovation strategies and organizational learning affect the development of innovation capabilities, while innovation capabilities affect the overall stage of innovation management. Furthermore, innovation management also affects the overall dimensions of organizational innovation performance."

"Understanding 5G from a perspective of innovation is to explore both technical research and development (R&D) and non-technical issues. While 4G has been considered as an incremental innovation from its predecessors (3G and 2G), design features and key technologies have indicated 5G as a disruptive innovation. Consequently, 5G will create new market values, in which new services and applications will emerge in unexpected ways. Hence, it is predicted that policy makers will face significant challenges concerning 5G implementation in their respective countries. This paper aims to investigate the challenges to standards and regulations at a country level. The discussion begins with the challenges because of the emergence of non-human markets as well as the complexity of multi-device technological platforms. Due to anticipated massive cloud-based applications, security issues of cloud-based applications will be a subsequent challenge for national policy makers. Finally, as 5G may require various supporting technologies, the challenge for the policy maker is also to trigger national development of local standards."
