Profesi apoteker berperan penting dalam berbagai aspek pekerjaan kefarmasian.  Peran tersebut dimulai dari menemukan obat, pembuatan, distribusi sampai keamaan untuk pasien agar mendapatkan pengobatan yang efektif. Salah satu hal penting yang harus dilakukan untuk menjadi seorang apoteker professional, calon apoteker dituntut untuk menjalani Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) sebagai bekal dan pengalaman untuk memahami peran apoteker dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan kefarmasian dan meningkatakn kompetensi sebelum memasuki duni kerja. PKPA dilaksanakan dilaksanakan di Apotek Roxy Poltangan periode Februari 2022 dan PT Pfizer Indonesia periode April-Mei 2022. Melalui PKPA di apotek dan di industri farmasi tesebut, calon apoteker diharapkan mampu memperoleh wawasan, pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan pengalaman untuk melakukan praktek kefarmasian.

One of the important things to become a professional pharmacist, prospective pharmacists are required to undergo the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) as a provision and experience to understand the pharmacist's role in carrying oit pharmaceutical work and increase competence before entering the professional world. PKPA is held at Apotek Roxy Poltangan for the February 2022 period and PT Pfizer Indonesia for the April-May 2022 period. Through PKPA in pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry, prospective pharmacists are expected to gain insight, knowledge, skill, and experience in practicing pharmacy.

"Suatu industri farmasi harus dapat memastikan kebersihannya bukan hanya tentang bangunan dan fasilitas namun juga termasuk alat-alat penunjang yang digunakan. Untuk memastikan apakah prosedur yang dilakukan telah sesuai, maka dilakukan validasi. Resep merupakan hal terpenting sebelum pasien menerima obat. Dalam alur pelayanan resep, apoteker wajib melakukan skrining resep. Ada tiga aspek yang perlu diperhatikan dalam skrining resep yakni kelengkapan administratif, kesesuaian farmasetik dan pertimbangan klinis untuk menjamin legalitas suatu resep dan meminimalkan kesalahan pengobatan. Salah satu pelayanan kefarmasian yang juga harus dilakukan dalam rangka menangani masalah terkait obat adalah Pemantauan Terapi Obat (PTO). Penyimpanan obat, bahan obat, alat kesehatan dan produk lainnya sesuai kategori seringkali menjadi hal yang cukup sulit di PBF PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari khususnya di PBF cabang Bogor. Terutama penyimpanan barang di area loading APL cabang Bogor sehingga dibutuhkan tanda khusus untuk memberikan perbedaan setiap area loading berbagai daerah. Penyusunan Protokol Cleaning Validation, Pengkajian resep dan PTO pasien loyal, dan kegiatan pembuatan penanda area loading daerah Cianjur dilakukan pada saat Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker di PT Global Onkolab Farma, Apotek Roxy Poltangan, dan PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari. Periode pengerjaan mulai dari Juli – November 2021.

Storage of drugs, medicinal ingredients, medical devices and other products according to categories is often quite difficult at PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari PBF, especially at PBF Bogor branch. Especially the storage of goods in the APL loading area of ​​the Bogor branch, so a special sign is needed to distinguish each loading area from various regions. The preparation of the Cleaning Validation Protocol, review of prescriptions and DTM of loyal patients, and activities of making markers for the loading area in the Cianjur area were carried out during the Pharmacist Professional Practice at PT Global Onkolab Farma, Roxy Poltangan Pharmacy, and PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari. Pelaksanaan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker penting sebagai bekal pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai peran dan tanggung jawab apoteker bagi calon apoteker. Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker dilaksanakan di Apotek Roxy periode bulan Februari 2022, PT. Hexpharm Jaya Laboratories periode bulan Maret – April 2022, dan Puskesmas Kecamatan Jagakarsa periode bulan Mei – Juni 2022. Harapannya agar calon apoteker mendapatkan wawasan dan pengalaman untuk terjun dalam praktik kefarmasian.

"Praktik kerja profesi apoteker ini dilakuakn di Rumah Sakit Universitas Indonesia dan Apotek Roxy Sawangan. Laporan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker ini memberikan informasi mengenai peran apoteker dalam kegiatan pelayanan kefarmasian di rumah sakit dan apotek. Apoteker di rumah sakit dan apotek berperan penting dalam memberi pelayanan kepada pasien yang berkaitan dengan sediaan farmasi untuk dapat mencapai hasil yang pasti untuk meningkatkan mutu kehidupan pasien. Selain itu, apoteker bertanggung jawab dalam kegiatan pengelolaan sediaan farmasi, alat kesehatan, dan bahan medis habis pakai, serta bertanggung jawab dalam memberikan pelayanan farmasi klinik kepada pasien. Laporan praktik kerja ini disusun menggunakan metode pengkajian, pengamatan secara langsung, dan studi literatur. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa apoteker di rumah sakit turut berperan penting dalam pelayanan sediaan kefarmasian untuk pasien rawat inap dan dapat dievaluasi menggunakan waktu tunggu pelayanan resep sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan. Sedangkan hasil dari kegiatan praktik kerja di apotek, menunjukkan bahwa apoteker berperan dalam melakukan skrining resep secara administrasi, farmasetik, dan klinis. Hal tersebut bertujuan untuk memberikan pelayanan secara maksimal kepada pasien dan mencegah adanya kesalahan dalam pemberian terapi.

In addition, pharmacists are responsible for the management of pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices, and medical consumables, and are responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to patients. This work practice report was prepared using the method of assessment, direct observation, and literature study. The results of this activity indicate that pharmacists in hospitals play an important role in the service of pharmaceutical preparations for inpatients and can be evaluated using the waiting time for prescription services in accordance with established standards. Meanwhile, the results of practical work activities in pharmacies indicate that pharmacists play a role in screening prescriptions in administration, pharmaceutical, and clinical ways. It aims to provide maximum service to patients and prevent errors in therapy."

"Pelayanan kefarmasian dari seorang profesi apoteker dapat diinterpretasikan sebagai suatu pelayanan langsung dan bertanggung jawab kepada pasien yang berkaitan dengan sediaan farmasi dengan maksud mencapai hasil yang pasti untuk meningkatkan mutu kehidupan pasien. Peran tersebut merupakan peran yang penting sebagai wujud aplikatif dari sistem pembelajaran yang telah didapatkan pada program sarjana. Calon apoteker dituntut untuk melaksanakan program Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) yang dilakukan sebagai wadah untuk memberi gambaran terhadap calon apoteker akan dunia kerja yang sebenarnya. PKPA dilaksanakan di apotek yang bersifat wajib sebagai penunjang farmasi komunitas dan pilihan industri sebagai penunjang untuk industri farmasi. PKPA dilaksanakan di Apotek Roxy Rawakalong periode Januari 2022 dan PT. Integrated Healthcare Indonesia periode April - Mei 2022. Kegiatan PKPA ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pengalaman dan keterampilan yang lebih untuk calon apoteker sehingga dapat mengaplikasikan serta menambah wawasan dan ilmu pengetahuan, serta selanjutnya akan siap untuk melakukan pekerjaan kefarmasian dibidangnya masing-masing.

Dalam mendapatkan gelar Apoteker tersebut, setiap program studi Profesi Apoteker di beberapa Universitas di Indonesia menyiapkan matriks perkuliahan Kegiatan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA). Tujuan dari Kegiatan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) adalah untuk mempersiapkan calon Apoteker dalam implementasi ilmu farmasi. Kegiatan PKPA ini dilaksanakan di Apotek Roxy Jatikramat periode Februari 2022 dan Industri Farmasi PT XYZ Jababeka periode bulan Maret – April 2022. Sebagai perbekalan calon apoteker untuk terjun ke dunia kerja kedepannya, dilaksanakan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) sebagai bagian dari kurikulum program studi profesi apoteker. PKPA dilaksanakan di PT Mahakam Beta Farma pada periode Januari – Februari 2022 ditempatkan di divisi Pemastian Mutu dan Apotek Roxy Pitara periode Mei 2022. Saat melaksanakan PKPA di PT Mahakam Beta Farma, calon apoteker berfokus pada bagian dokumentasi, terutama pembuatan Product Quality Review (PQR).
