"Around the globe, the very conceptualization of family is associated with the relationship between a parent and a child. The birth of a child represents both the end of one experience, and the beginning of another. Entry into parenthood represents a fundamental shift in family structure and family dynamics, wherein the child brings new responsibilities within the family and upon the larger society, particularly in regards to population issues. In order to better understand the transitions into parenthood, this multidisciplinary volume of CPFR will address such topics as: employment and fertility, childbearing desires versus childbearing outcomes, the social media construction of parenthood, gender differences in childrearing, parental discipline and child outcomes, among others. This volume will contain research on parenthood and parenting from around the world, and is intended to provide a more global perspective of these issues. Given that these topics range across various disciplines, a variety of theoretical and methodological approaches are utilized in the research herein."

"Dalam transisi menjadi orang tua baru, pasangan akan berhadapan dengan banyak perubahan hingga anak berusia dua tahun, sehingga penting bagi pasangan untuk menerapkan strategi pengelolaan stres yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran common dyadic coping pada masa transisi menjadi orang tua sebagai mediator antara attachment styles dan kepuasan pernikahan. Pengukuran variabel pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan alat ukur Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised (ECR-R), Couple Satisfaction Index (CSI), dan Dyadic Coping Inventory (DCI). Data diperoleh melalui survei daring dari warga negara Indonesia dengan usia ≥ 21 tahun, sedang menjalani pernikahan, dan memiliki anak tunggal usia nol sampai dengan dua tahun (N perempuan = 90%, M usia = 27,9, SD usia = 2,8). Hasil analisis model mediasi pada makro PROCESS dari Hayes menunjukkan bahwa problem-focused common dyadic coping memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara anxious attachment dengan kepuasan pernikahan (β = -0.084, p < .001), serta avoidant attachment dengan kepuasan pernikahan (β = -0.084, p < .001). Demikian juga emotion- focused common dyadic coping memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara anxious attachment dengan kepuasan pernikahan (β = -0.084, p < .001), serta avoidant attachment dengan kepuasan pernikahan (β = -0.084, p < .001).

In transition to parenthood, couples will face many changes until the child is two years old. Thus, it is important for couples to apply common dyadic coping. However, common dyadic coping is influenced by individual attachment styles. This study aims to determine the role of common dyadic coping during the transition to parenthood as mediator between attachment styles and marital satisfaction. Measurements used in this study are Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised (ECR- R), Couple Satisfaction Index (CSI), and Dyadic Coping Inventory (DCI). Data was obtained through an online survey of Indonesian citizens aged ≥ 21 years, currently married, and having only children aged zero to two years (N mothers = 90%, M ages = 27.9, SD ages = 2.8). The results of the mediation model analysis on PROCESS macro from Hayes showed that problem-focused common dyadic coping partially mediates the relationship between anxious attachment and marital satisfaction (β = -0.084, p < .001), and avoidant attachment with marital satisfaction (β = -0.084 , p < .001). Likewise, emotion- focused common dyadic coping partially mediates the relationship between anxious attachment and marital satisfaction (β = -0.084, p < .001), and avoidant attachment and marital satisfaction (β = - 0.084, p < .001). "

"Mengacu pada UU Pokok No. 9 Tahun 1960, mengenai arti SEHAT, dinyatakan bahwa wanita muda usia belumlah layak untuk menanggung suatu keluarga, karena belum memilikj persiapan yang matang dalam hal mental dan fisik untuk menghadapi berbagai hal yang menyangkut keluarga. Kemudian Pula ada pemikiran bahwa, makin muda seorang wanita memasuki perkawinan, makin panjang masa reproduksinya, sehingga jumlah anak yang akan dilahirkan akan semakin banyak. Untuk itulah BKKBN membatasi usia yang paling ideal untuk menikah adalah diatas 20 tahun. Sehingga dapat diharapkan sasaran perkawinan yang sehat dan bahagja dapat tercapai dan jumlah kelahiran dapat ditekan. Kabupaten Karawang sebagai daerah pertanian, hingga saat ini masih banyak ditemui perkawinan usia muda, dan hal ini ditegaskan sendiri oleh Bupati Karawang (Kompas, 20 Nov. 1990). Adapun sebagai daerah penelitiannya diambil Kecamatan Karawang yang merupakan ibukota kabupaten, yang memiliki persentase usia kawin muda wanita cukup tinggi sekitar 52,38%. Selain itu Pula kecamatan ini dapat jelas dibedakan karakteristik wilayahnya. Masalah Bagaimana distribusi banyaknya wanita kawin muda di pedesäan, peralihan dan perkotaan dan dari faktor tingkat pendidikan, status pekerjaan dan mata pencaharian orang tua, faktor manakah yang paling berpengaruh ? Hipotesa Banyaknya wanita kawiri muda di Kecamatan Karawang di daerah pedesaan persentasenya tinggi, di daerah peralihan persentasenya sedang dan di daerah perkotaan persentasenya rendah dan distribusinyà sangat di pengaruhi oleh faktor tingkat pendidikan, status pekerjaan dan mata pencaharian orang tua"

It considers international and national debates that underline the fact that issues in private life are increasingly entering the public discourse and becoming subject to attempts at socio-political control.
