"This paper examines the precarious coexistence between Muslims and Christians in post- conflict Maluku, Indonesia. The lasting effects of brutal conflict have left fear and trauma as the dominant emotions in the relationships of local residents. While these emotions are commonly seen as hindrances to peace by scholars and non-scholars alike, in post-conflict societies, they are inescapable and deeply ingrained. Nevertheless, they not only drive division, but also the desire to maintain peace. In Maluku, both Christians and Muslims are bound by the shared understanding that their current peaceful coexistence is delicate, and they must be cautious in their interactions with people of different religions, despite ongoing animosity and mistrust. This ongoing reality in Maluku calls for a reassessment of the normative tendency in peace discourses, which expect peace to be either ideal or impaired and tend not to be contextual in evaluating peace. To understand post-conflict coexistence better, we need to comprehend how emotions towards other groups operate in the emerging social settings."

The facticity of differences in every human being living among others should have cope along together without eradicating each of its particularity and dissolves it into sameness. This undergraduate thesis made as an attempt to accentuating the condition of otherness, as the ungraspable part ever in every relation thus cannot be dismissed. Levinas sees that the very marvel of human relation is precisely lay in the distance and proximity of it. An approximation as a notion of human aspire to understand the inevitable fact of being with the other perpetually ought to have its distance as a remainder of the otherness in other person that is always beyond comprehension.
Recognition and consideration for every other's otherness is a statement of our willingness to look at the other as more than another object within our confine concept, to be able to see them as a being that is wholly unique and irreplaceable. When ethics presenting itself in our direct encounter with the face of the other, then we will be hostage of the inevitable responsibility towards him. Hence functioning an ethical critique questioning every (drive towards) domination in living one with another.

"This essay discusses the domestic moral and cultural reformism and the liberal expansionist discourses of leading Japanese Protestant journalists at the turn of the 20th century. It gives special attention to Uchimura Kanzō and examines his important theoretical relationships with the leading proponents of imperialism at the time, such as Tokutomi Sohō, Yamaji Aizan, and Takekoshi Yosaburō. Although it is important to consider Uchimura’s religiosity and intellectual biography because they are essential to his resistance to imperial Japan, it is also necessary to compare Uchimura’s journalistic writings with those of his friends and contemporary rivals and consider them together in the context of the intellectual currents of the time. As I argue, amid developing imperialism in East Asia at the turn of the 20th century, Protestant intellectuals overall championed cosmopolitanism, promoted liberal education and international comity and ethics over jingoism, and urged sophisticated cultural development comparable to that of the West. Uchimura and other Protestants, moreover, supported liberal expansionism, that is, Japan’s expansion through peaceful and economic means in tandem with British and American imperialism and emigration overseas. Furthermore, liberal expansionism was inspired by a historicist view that the development and expansion of liberalism and capitalism would inevitably lead Japan and the rest of the world to peaceful coexistence and higher moral civilization."

The study aims to analyze how the role of government and GAM ex combatants in conflict resolution post conflict Aceh. The results of the study found that firstly, the government has performed its role in maintaining peace after the post Aceh conflict in accordance with the content of the agreement in the Helsinski MoU. The role of government in resolving conflicts by way of collaboration or cooperation and compromise on the parties to the conflict. However, there are still some programs of activity and assistance from the government that have not been realized, there are still some government parties that use the authority for personal interests. Secondly, ex combatants have also exercised their role in maintaining peace after the post Aceh conflict in accordance with the content of the agreement in the Helsinski MoU. Nevertheless, there are still some ex combatants demonstrating a sense of dissatisfaction with the role of the government in terms of human rights law enforcement, symbols and flags and injustices in the equitable distribution of development. Third, there are still small conflicts between the government and ex combatants caused by internal conflicts in Aceh 39 s democratic government. Therefore, the Aceh Government needs to translate operational conflict resolution framework in keeping peace with a scheme understood by all stakeholders through workshops and trainings to facilitate synergy and collaboration at all levels of government in provinces and districts.

Spatial partitioning among mesopredators has not been widely studied, even though the information is crucial for conservation management planning amid habitat destruction threats. Therefore, this study aimed to fill the knowledge gap by determining the extent of influence of body mass on spatial partitioning of 6 mesopredators species in Intensive Protection Zone (IPZ) Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park (BBSNP). Species detection data collected by camera trap was analyzed using single season multi-species occupancy analysis method and 6 variables including elevation, slope, NDVI, distance to forest edge, distance to river, and prey occupancy to generate species interaction factor (SIF) value. Species detection data was collected using camera trap survey for 186 days in 65 camera stations with 3x3 km grid size from May 21st until November 22nd, 2019. Study results shows that Prionailurus bengalensis-Prionodon linsang species pair is going through spatial partitioning and body mass does not have any influence on spatial partitioning among mesopredators species."

face negotiation theory maka kedua komunitas cenderung bersifat kolektivistik
berikutnya.

ABSTRACT
Horizontal conflicts in Poso, Central Sulawesi, which occurred in the period
1998-2001 resulted in changes in the social order in the society Poso. This study
wanted to see the processes of intercultural communication between Pamona
society and Bugis post-conflict especially conflict management, negotiation
process in the face facework, identity, stereotypes, prejudice and ethnocentrism as
well as social aspects, economic and cultural interaction. Using interpretive
paradigm, qualitative approaches and of ethnography method, the researcher
directly involved and lived together people of Poso in some areas. In the
negotiation process and conflict reconciliation when viewed using face
negotiation theory, the two communities tend to be collectivistic and resolve
conflicts by keeping the 'face' of others. Style of conflict resolution between the
two communities tend to mostly use the compromising style, post-conflict
negotiations are widely used it is avoiding style. Stereotypes, prejudice and
ethnocentrism that developed from each group can be a bottleneck in the
processes of intercultural communication as well as the vulnerability and
insecurity will be the next potential conflict."

Kabupaten Poso Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Pemilihan Kabupaten Poso
mengalami konflik. Beberapa tahun terakhir situasi damai terjadi di Poso,
berangsung-angsur masyarakat Poso termasuk perempuan mulai menata
kehidupannya kembali.
lagi kumpulan agen (active agents).
terlibat.

ABSTRACT
This thesis discusses how women's agency manage structural and cultural
factors that enable and contrains agency during conflict and post-conflict.
Previous studies have shown that in conflict situations women are able to emerged
their agency. However, the existing studies generally do not discuss
comprehensively how it works and what is the structural factors and cultural that
support or obstruct women agency during and after conflict.
This thesis is the result of qualitative research on a case study in Poso,
Central Sulawesi Province. Poso district election based on the consideration that
the Poso region once known as a conflict area. The last few years the people of
poso have living in peace, Poso community gradually including women began to
organize their lives back. According to the researcher it is useful to examine the
phenomenon that accurs in Poso to uncover problems and answer research
questions.
The argument of this study is women in conflict situations, encountered
difficult situation, but on the other hand women also capable of being the agency.
This study uses ‘Archer’s analysis of Agen-Structure: the morphogenetic
approach’. The Archer’s analysis is explained the agency works interplay with
culture (structure) through three stages: (1) Structural conditioning, which refers
to the previous structure, but does not specify; (2) Social interaction, which
emergence from the actions oriented to the realities and needs and leads to two
things; are (3) Structural elaboration or reproduction, is a change in the
relationship in a social system.
At the stage of social interaction, agency works begins with the
emergence of self-consciousness, then the emergence of personal identity and
continued to the emergence of social identity. The third stage enables generating
socio-cultural configurations which have the changing nature of the agent.
The research findings showed socio-cultural configuration changes that
occur during and post-conflict changing nature of the primary agent (passive
agents) into collection agents (active agents). Active agents are organized agent,
that attempted to exit outside of the confines of existing structure and socioculture
systems and culture that exist towards 'we' and jointly try to change the
existing structure, or in other words to transform itself to achieve a transformative
social change. In transformative social change as a resulted of the formation cycle of morphogenesis (morphogenetic cycles) then the new role will be created until
there is a new position emerge and involving more agents., This thesis discusses how women's agency manage structural and cultural

India-Pakistan relations have been volatile for nearly 80 years, heavily influenced by identity dynamics. The 1947 Partition, marking the division between Hindu and Muslim communities, led to the formation of India and Pakistan. This event set the stage for ongoing conflicts, particularly over the disputed Kashmir region, where both countries project their identities. The border itself is a site of complex identity contestation, impacting both state policies and border communities. This literature review examines 36 sources on identity in India-Pakistan relations using a taxonomy method, categorizing the findings into four themes: 1). Historical Review of the Identity Linkage of India and Pakistan, 2). The Significance of the 1947 Partition in the Dynamics of India–Pakistan Relations, 3). The Complexity of the Kashmir Issue in India-Pakistan Relations, and 4). Identity Dynamics in the India-Pakistan Border Issue. The review reveals a relationship of predatory identities between the two nations, sustained by communitarian identity politics. This dynamic is evident in both the Kashmir issue and border interactions, where identity construction and marginalization are ongoing.
