"The research objective is to know the rank of state universities in Indonesia and its library by using Webometrics Rankings of world universities and web impact factor parameter, then analyze correlation between the rank of state universities in Indonesia and its library rank from both of parameters and also analyze correlation between WRWU rank with WIF rank at the state university libraries in Indonesia. This research using quantitative approach by means of webometrics analysis technical with using WRWU and WIF parameter. Research of the population is all of universities in Indonesia with sample 49 domain sites of university and its library. Data was obtained through search engine on May 19th 2011. The result shows that the highest rank based on WRWU parameter for the state university is The University of Gadjah Mada and for the library is Diponegoro University Library. The highest rank based of WIF parameter is State University of Surabaya while for library is the Bengkulu University. The results of correlation analysis shows that there is strong relation between the rank of State Universities in Indonesia with its library rank based of WRWU parameter, there is very low relation between the rank of state universities in Indonesia with the rank its library based of WIF parameter and also there is significant relationship between the rank of WRWU parameter with WIF parameter of State Universities Libraries in Indonesia."

"The presence of computer and its communication network have created possibilities for library in not only processing the automation of activities and saving internal data but also providing access to information which are physically absent in a library. This condition have changed library concept and form into a new one known as digital library. Digital library network in Indonesia have been developing since 2000s with the appearance of several library network such as IDLN, Ganesha Digital Library, SPEKTRA Virtual Library and GARUDA. Along with its development, there have been many non-technical and technical problems. Therefore, in developing digital library network in Indonesia, it needs hard work, sharing and national educating spirit to make it remain working as an information source for society."

"Tesis ini membahas tentang kapasitas perpustakaan digital pada perpustakaan di lingkungan Universitas Indonesia (UI). Dijelaskan bagaimana kondisinya dan peran kondisi serupa ini dalam mengembangkan kerjasama dan jaringan perpustakaan pada aras meso (UI) maupun pada aras makro (nasional). Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara mendalam dan diskusi kelompok fokus. Informan adalah kepala perpustakaan; administrator jaringan, dan koordinator layanan pemakai Perpustakaan Universitas. Analisis dituntun Adaptive Structuration Theory, dilakukan di sepanjang proses mengolah data yang terdiri dari tahap: pengodean berbuka, pengodean berporos dan pengodean berpilih. Hasilnya ditemukan kategori inti yang terdiri dari komponen: SDM, koleksi digital, teknologi jaringan, teknologi perangkat lunak aplikasi (LONTAR), dan kebijakan. Kondisi kapasitas ini punya peran potensial dalam mengembangkan kerjasama dan jaringan perpustakaan di UI. Saran diberikan bagi pustakawan dan perpustakaan di lingkungan UI, serta pemangku kepentingan layanan perpustakaan digital pada berbagai aras.A Study of digital libraries (DL) capacity is conducted to explain: DL capacity condition at University of Indonesia (UI) libraries and its role in developing library cooperation and library network at meso level (UI) and macro level. Depth interviews and Focus Group Discussion is conducted to accumulate data. Informants are a library chairman, a network administrator, and library services coordinator at the main library. Data are analyzed throughout every step of data processing, start from open coding to axial coding and selective coding. Data analyzed is guided by Adaptive Structuration Theory (AST). Human resources, digital collection, technology, and policies are categories found. Relation among these categories is found as well. Capacity condition has a role in developing cooperation and network among academic libraries at meso level, but it is not at macro level. Suggestions are given to librarians and libraries management in UI, and digital libraries stakeholders at every level."

"Technology advancement has created a new form of library which is the digital library. Currently many library organizers are competing with each other in developing digital library. The development has raised new issues on library fields. Those issues are related to digital preservation, copyrights, plagiarism and human resources. The issues have also brought out the needs of breaking strategies to be implemented in the real world. Through this paper, writer intends to discuss about strategies that can be used in handling issues related to development of digital library. The writer hopes that the strategies can be implemented in organizing digital library."

"Skripsi ini membahas Pemanfaatan Koleksi Digital Knowledge-ATM di Perpustakaan Pusat Universitas Indonesia. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui Pemanfaatan Koleksi Knowledge-ATM di Perpustakaan Pusat Universitas Indonesia. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif dan teknik pengambilan sampel snowball dan accidental sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Pemanfaatan Koleksi Knowledge-ATM di Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia diprioritaskan untuk Sivitas Akademika Universitas Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini penulis menyarankan kepada Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia untuk lebih meningkatkan sosialisasi terhadap pemanfaatan koleksi Knowledge-ATM untuk memberikan kemudahan bagi Sivitas Akademika Universitas Indonesia dalam memperoleh koleksi yang dimiliki oleh Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia. Adapun saran dari Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia ke depannya mesin telusur Knowledge-ATM ini akan di tempatkan di setiap fakultas untuk mendukung pembelajaran Sivitas Akademika Universitas Indonesia.

This thesis discusses the Collection Digital Knowledge-ATM Utilization in the Cental Library of the University of Indonesia. The goal is find out the Collection Digital Knowledge-ATM Utilization in the Central Library of the University of Indonesia. The method of this research is qualitative research with descriptive design and sampling technique of snowball and accidental sampling. The results of this study showed that Collection Knowledge-ATM Utilization in the University of Indonesia Library not prioritized for University of Indonesia Academic.

Based on the results of the study authors suggest to University of Indonesia Library to further improve the dissemination of Collection Knowledge-ATM to provide ease for not only University of Indonesia Academic in acquiring collection owned by the University of Indonesia Library. As for the suggestion of the University of Indonesia Library in the future, this Knowledge-ATM search engine will be place in each faculty to support learning by the University of Indonesia Academic."
