Di Indonesia, belum banyak studi yang membahas mengenai pilihan orangtua dalam menggunakan pengobatan komplementer dan alternatif pada anak yang menderita kanker.Studi literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi mengenai gambaran pilihan pengobatan komplementer dan alternatif pada anak yang menderita kanker. Metode yang dilakukan dengan pencarian literatur melalui database elektronik PubMed, Scopus dan Science Direct dengan tahun publikasi dari 2015-2020 yang dilakukan pada bulan Juli-September 2020. Tidak ada batasan bahasa yang digunakan. Hasil studi literatur didapat 10 artikel yang sesuai dengan kriteria dalam review ini. Rata-rata metode penelitian adalah cross- sectional dan kohort. Bahasa yang diperoleh adalah bahasa Inggris, Spanyol dan Perancis. Didapatkan 5 item uraian tentang gambaran pilihan penggunaan pengobatan komplementer dan alternatif pada kanker anak. Lima item tersebut adalah alasan orang tua, jenis pengobatan yang digunakan, sumber informasi atau pengetahuan mengenai pengobatan komplementer dan alternatif, efektivitas/manfaat atau risiko yang didapat, dan komunikasi orangtua terhadap penggunaan pengobatan komplementer dan alternatif kepada tenaga kesehatan

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world. In general, cancer treatments can cause uncomfortable side effects for patients. Especially if the treatment is given to children, parents will be worried about the safety and comfort of their children. This can cause parents to decide to choose and try other remedies such as complementary and alternative medicine. In Indonesia, there are not many studies that discuss the choice of parents in the use of complementary and alternative medicine in children with cancer. This literature study aims to identify the description of complementary and alternative treatment options in children with cancer. The method is performed with literature searches through electronic databases PubMed, Scopus, and Science Direct with the publication of 2015-2020 conducted in July-September 2020. There are no language restrictions used. The results of the literature study obtained 10 articles that match the criteria in this review. The average research method was cross-sectional and cohort. The languages acquired are English, Spanish and French. There were 5 items on the description of the options for using complementary and alternative medicine in childhood cancer. The five items are parents' reasons, types of treatment used, sources of information or knowledge about complementary and alternative medicine, effectiveness / benefits or risks, and parental communication about the use of complementary and alternative medicine to health workers"
