"Jeruk limau merupakan bahan alam dengan beragam manfaat, namun penelitian mengenai pemanfaatannya masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji potensi minyak atsiri kulit jeruk limau dalam aktivitas antitirosinase, antielastase, dan antibakteri penyebab jerawat. Metode ekstraksi minyak atsiri menggunakan metode Microwave-Assisted Hydro-Distillation (MAHD), sedangkan analisis senyawa kimia dilakukan dengan GC-MS. Pada uji antitirosinase, asam kojat memiliki IC50 sebesar 4,96 µg/mL, sedangkan minyak atsiri kulit jeruk limau memiliki IC50 sebesar 251,36 µg/mL. Pada uji antielastase, kuersetin sebagai pembanding memiliki nilai IC50 24,1 µg/mL, sementara minyak atsiri kulit jeruk limau memiliki IC50 sebesar 46,56 µg/mL. Uji aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri P. acnes menunjukkan zona hambat sebesar 13,04-16,05 mm, sedangkan pada S. aureus menunjukkan zona hambat 15,06-22,16 mm yang berpotensi kuat dalam menghambat bakteri penyebab jerawat. Hasil analisis GC-MS menunjukkan keberadaan senyawa aktif seperti sitronelol, d-limonena, sitronelal, β-pinena, dan α-terpeniol dalam minyak atsiri. Senyawa-senyawa tersebut memiliki potensi aktivitas biologis terkait penghambatan tirosinase, elastase, dan bakteri penyebab jerawat. Penemuan ini dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan produk perawatan kulit yang berbasis bahan alam.

Lime is a natural ingredient with various benefits, but research on its utilization is still limited. This study aims to examine the potential of lime peel essential oil in anti-tyrosinase, anti-elastase, and antibacterial activities against acne-causing agents. The essential oil extraction method used Microwave-Assisted Hydro-Distillation (MAHD), and the chemical compound analysis was conducted using GC-MS. In the anti-tyrosinase test, kojic acid had an IC50 of 4.96 µg/mL, while lime peel essential oil demonstrated an IC50 of 251.36 µg/mL. In the anti-elastase test, quercetin as a comparator had an IC50 value of 24.1 µg/mL, where as lime peel essential oil showed an IC50 of 46.56 µg/mL. Antibacterial activity against P. acnes showed inhibition zones ranging from 13.04-16.05 mm, indicating strong potential, while S. aureus exhibited inhibition zones of 15.06-22.16 mm, suggesting strong potential in inhibiting acne-causing bacteria. GC-MS analysis indicated the presence of active compounds such as citronellol, d-limonene, citronellal, β-pinene, and α-terpineol in the essential oil. These compounds demonstrated potential biological activities related to the inhibition of tyrosinase, elastase, and acne-causing bacteria. These findings could contribute to the development of natural-based skincare products."

"ABSTRAK
Tesis ini menganalisa pengaruh daya saing terhadap kinerja ekspor minyak atsiri Indonesia pada sepuluh negara tujuan ekspor. Metode yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya saing mempengaruhi kinerja ekspor minyak atsiri Indonesia pada sepuluh negara tujuan utama secara positif. Berdasarkan perhitungan RCA Dinamis pada negara Amerika Serikat, India, Cina, Perancis, Belanda, Spanyol, Swiss, Inggris dan Jerman diketahui minyak atsiri Indonesia masuk dalam kategori Rising Star, artinya minyak atsiri Indonesia memiliki keunggulan daya saing pada negara-negara tersebut. Di Singapura, minyak atsiri Indonesia masuk dalam kategori Lagging Opportunity, artinya minyak atsiri Indonesia kehilangan peluang pasarnya

ABSTRACT
This thesis analyzes competitive effects of Indonesian essential oil exports performance in ten export destinations. By using regression panel data and interviews. The results showed that the competitiveness influence the Indonesian essential oil export performance in ten main destination countries. Based on RCA Dynamic calculations on the United States, India, China, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and Germany are known Indonesian essential oil in the category of Rising Star, which means the essential oil Indonesia has a competitive advantage in these countries. In Singapore, Indonesia essential oil into the category Lagging Opportunity, means the essential oil Indonesia lost market opportunities."

"Pada penelitian ini, pembentukan deposit dari biodiesel B20-NA dengan penambahan Bioaditif Atsiri dengan variasi berbeda, yaitu B20 Atsiri 1:2000, B20 Atsiri 1:3000, B20 Atsiri 1:4000 dan B20 Atsiri 1:5000 yang dilakukan dengan metode tetes plat panas untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan mekanisme pembentukan deposit pada masing-masing variasi bahan bakar. Penelitikan dilakukan dengan proses deposisi dan evaporasi bahan bakar Diesel yang dilakukan secara berulang pada sebuah pelat panas. Pelat dipanaskan dengan variasi temperatur di dalam ruang tertutup sehingga kondisinya mendekati kondisi riil pada engine. Pengujian ini menggunakan hot chamber test rig. Penggunan bioaditif essential oil atsiri yang memiliki kandungan terpentin berperan mengikat kadar air dan residu pada bahan bakar biodiesel diharapkan dapat mempercepat proses terjadinya pelepasan deposit yang berlebih didalam ruang bakar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan variasi bahan bakar dan temperatur yang optimal agar proses pelepasan deposit dapat dipercepat.

In this study, the deposit formation of B20 NA biodiesel with the addition of bioadditive Essential Oil with different variations, B20 Essential Oil 1 2000, B20 Essential Oil 1 3000, B20 Essential Oil 1 4000 and B20 Essential Oil 1 5000 method of hot plate drops to know the characteristics and mechanisms of deposit formation on each variation of fuel. The research is carried out by the deposition process and evaporation of Diesel fuels carried out repeatedly on a hot plate. The plate is heated with temperature variations inside the enclosed space so that the conditions are close to the real conditions of the engine. This test uses a hot chamber test rig. The use of bioadditive essential oils atsiri which have turpentine contents bind water content and residues in biodiesel fuel is expected to accelerate the process of excessive deposit release in the combustion chamber. This study aims to find the optimum fuel and temperature variations so that the deposit release process can be accelerated."

"Tanaman penghasil minyak atsiri yang dikenal di masyarakat luas salah satunya adalah tanaman dari keluarga Myrtaceae. Minyak atsiri yang diperoleh dari tanaman yang berasal dari berbagai marga Myrtaceae dianalisis menggunakan spektroskopi ATR-FTIR (Attenuated Total Reflectance-Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy). Senyawa terpenoid merupakan komponen utama penyusun minyak atsiri, sehingga analisis minyak atsiri didasarkan pada spektrum senyawa terpenoid. Daerah IR antara 1700 dan 700 cm-1 merupakan daerah sidik jari yang memberikan informasi spektral yang kompleks namun juga unik dan dapat direproduksi serta signifikan untuk identifikasi sampel. Hasil spektrum yang didapatkan dari metode spektroskopi ATR-FTIR kemudian dianalisis lebih lanjut dengan menggunakan metode kemometrik yang menerapkan metode matematika dan statistika. Informasi yang didapatkan dari analisis dapat diterapkan pada pengendalian mutu minyak atsiri. Pada skripsi ini akan dikaji beberapa literatur terkait ATR-FTIR, kemometrika, dan penerapannya dalam menganalisis minyak atsiri tanaman Myrtaceae.

One of the essential oil-producing plants known in the wide community is a plant from the Myrtaceae family. Essential oils obtained from this family analyzed using ATR-FTIR spectroscopy (Attenuated Total Reflectance-Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy). Terpenoid compounds are the main components of essential oils, so the analysis of essential oils is based on the spectrum of terpenoid compounds. The IR region between 1700 and 700 cm-1 is a fingerprint region that provides complex spectral information that is also unique and reproducible as well as significant for sample identification. The spectrum results obtained from the ATR-FTIR spectroscopy method are then further analyzed using the chemometric method which applies the mathematical and statistical methods. The information obtained from the analysis can be applied to quality control of essential oils. This thesis will study some literature related to ATR-FTIR, chemometrics, and its application in analyzing the essential oils of Myrtaceae plants."

"Minyak cengkeh dari bunga cengkeh Sygyzium aromaticum umumnya diisolasi dari cengkeh kering. Teknik pengeringan pada cengkeh yang biasa dilakukan oleh petani adalah dengan menjemur cengkeh di terik matahari. Karakteristik minyak cengkeh sangat dipengaruhi oleh penanganan pasca panen seperti pengeringan dan penyimpanan. Pada penelitian ini, telah dilakukan studi mengenai pengaruh proses pengeringan dengan sinar matahari dan penyimpanan cengkeh terhadap kandungan dan komposisi minyak atsiri yang dihasilkan. Pengeringan dilakukan dengan menjemur cengkeh di bawah sinar matahari hingga kandung airnya mencapai 12-14. Pengaruh penyimpanan cengkeh dipelajari terhadap minyak yang diisolasi dari bunga cengkeh kering yang sudah disimpan selama 6 bulan. Minyak atsiri dari setiap perlakuan diperoleh dengan metode destilasi uap terhadap bunga cengkeh dan komposisi kimianya dianalisa dengan metode Kromatografi Gas/Spektrometer Massa KG/SM. Senyawa-senyawa mayor yang terdeteksi pada minyak atsiri bunga cengkeh dari Manado dan Toli-toli yaitu eugenol, eugenol asetat, dan kariofilena. Pengeringan terhadap cengkeh Manado dan Toli-toli menyebabkan kenaikan kandungan eugenol masing-masing sebanyak 5,187 dan 7,511. Sementara itu, penyimpanan terhadap cengkeh Toli-toli selama 6 bulan menyebabkan kenaikan kandungan eugenol sebanyak 7,382.

Clove bud oil Sygyzium aromaticum are generally isolated from dried cloves. Conventional drying technique that commonly used by farmer is drying under sunlight. Characteristics of clove oil is strongly influenced by post harvest handling which are drying and storage. This study have been investigated the effects of sun drying process and storage of the content and composition of essential clove oil. Drying of clove was conducted under sunlight until the moisture content reached 12 14. The influence of storage to the clove oil was studied by isolated the oil from dried clove buds that have been stored for 6 months. Essential oil of each treatment is obtained by steam distillation method of clove and their chemical composition was analyzed by Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometer GC MS. The major compounds contained in the clove of Manado and Toli toli are as follow eugenol, eugenol acetate, and carryophyllene. Drying of the Manado and Toli toli cloves caused 5.187 and 7,511 increase of eugenol for each. Meanwhile, the storage of clove Toli toli after 6 months led to the increase in the content of eugenol as much as 7.382.
