"Anterior traumatic injury could be caused by many functional disturbances, such as mastication, speech, and esthetic. This condition can be repaired by paying attention to the aspects. Reposition can be done with any appliance but if the reposition must focus on the esthetic aspect, it will require special attention. In this case, it shows that fixed and removable appliance with prosthetic function can be used as alternative treatment for children who suffer traumatic injury."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama perendaman dalam berbagai pH saliva buatan terhadap kekerasan permukaan material restoratif glass hybrid (EQUIA® FORTE Glass Hybrid Restorative System, GC Corporation, Japan). Jumlah spesimen 90 buah terbagi dalam sembilan kelompok perlakuan yaitu perendaman dalam saliva buatan dengan pH 4,5; 5,5; dan 7 dengan waktu perendaman masing-masing 1 jam, 24 jam, dan 72 jam pada suhu 37oC. Uji kekerasan permukaan menggunakan Knoop Microhardness Tester (Shimadzu HMV-G Micro Hardness Tester, Japan) dengan beban 50 gram selama 15 detik sebanyak 5 indentasi pada tiap spesimen. Hasil data dianalisis statistik dengan One-way ANOVA (p<0,05).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan bermakna pada setiap kelompok perlakuan yaitu nilai kekerasan pada perendaman dengan larutan saliva buatan pH 4,5 dan lama perendaman 1 jam, 24 jam, dan 72 jam berturut-turut adalah sebesar 69,48 0,57 KHN, 54,76 0,23 KHN, dan 42,90 0,41 KHN. Sementara itu, nilai kekerasan dengan saliva buatan pH 5,5 dan lama perendaman 1 jam, 24 jam, dan 72 jam berturut-turut adalah sebesar 75,34 0,32 KHN, 57,45 0,47 KHN, dan 45,84 0,27 KHN. Dengan larutan saliva buatan pH 7 dan lama perendaman 1 jam, 24 jam, dan 72 jam didapatkan nilai kekerasan berturut-turut adalah 82,89 0,68 KHN, 62,49 0,37 KHN, dan 49,84 0,14 KHN. Disimpulkan bahwa dengan menurunnya pH saliva buatan dan semakin lamanya perendaman dapat menurunkan nilai kekerasan permukaan material restoratif glass hybrid.

This study aims to determine the effect of immersion time in various pH of artificial saliva on the surface hardness of glass hybrid restorative materials (EQUIA® FORTE Glass Hybrid Restorative System, GC Corporation, Japan). There were 90 specimens (diameter 6mm, thickness 3mm), and the specimens were divided into nine groups immersed in artificial saliva with pH 4,5; 5,5; and 7 for 1 hour, 24 hours, and 72 hours at 37oC respectively. The surface hardness of each specimens were tested using Knoop Microhardness Tester (Shimadzu HMV-G Micro Hardness Tester, Japan) with 50 grams load for 15 seconds, with 5 indentations on each specimens. The statistical analysis using One-way ANOVA (p<0,05) showed that there were significant differences between each groups.
The result showed that the hardness number of the groups immersed in artificial saliva pH 4,5 for 1 hour, 24 hours, and 72 hours respectively are 69,48 0,57 KHN, 54,76 0,23 KHN, and 42,90 0,41 KHN. Meanwhile, the hardness number of the groups immersed in artificial saliva pH 5,5 for 1 hour, 24 hours, and 72 hours respectively are 75,34 0,32 KHN, 57,45 0,47 KHN, and 45,84 0,27 KHN. With artificial saliva of pH 7 for 1 hour, 24 hours, and 72 hours, the hardness number are 82,89 0,68 KHN, 62,49 0,37 KHN, and 49,84 0,14 KHN. It can be concluded that the lower pH value of artificial saliva and prolonged immersion time can reduce the surface hardness value of glass hybrid restorative materials.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi hidrogen peroksida 40 terhadap kerentanan perubahan warna resin komposit nanohibrida oleh minuman berkarbonasi. Tiga puluh spesimen resin komposit nanohibrida berbentuk silinder diameter 6mm x ketebalan 2mm dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok; Coca-Cola, Fanta Strawberry, dan Sprite n=10. Seluruh spesimen direndam dalam minuman masing-masing selama 7 hari, diaplikasikan hidrogen peroksida 40, dan direndam kembali selama 7 hari. Pengukuran warna dilakukan sebanyak empat kali dengan Colorimeter. Nilai perubahan warna kemudian dihitung. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik Paired-Samples T Test dan One-Way ANOVA.

This study aims to analyze the effect of 40 hydrogen peroxide application on nanohybrid composite resin staining susceptibility by carbonated drinks. Thirty cylindrical specimens 6mm diameter x 2mm depth of nanohybrid composite resin were divided into 3 groups Coca Cola, Fanta Strawberry, and Sprite n 10. All specimens were immersed in each drinks for 7 days, bleached with 40 hydrogen peroxide, and re immersed for 7 days. Color measurement was done four times using a Colorimeter. Color differences between each measurement were calculated. Data were analyzed statistically by Paired Samples T Test and One Way ANOVA.

"Kebutuhan akan braket ortodontik di Indonesia sangat tinggi mengingat tingginya prevalensi penderita maloklusi di Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini, braket ortodontik difabrikasi dengan metode Metal Injection Molding dengan menggunakan serbuk Stainless Steel 17-4 PH serta variasi penggunaan sistem binder pada feedstock-nya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan sistem binder berbahan baku lokal pada proses mixing untuk menghasilkan feedstock dalam pembuatan braket ortodontik. Campuran dari Beeswax BW yang merupakan bahan baku lokal, Paraffin Wax PW, Low-Linear Density Polyethylene LLDPE, Ethylene Vinyl Acetate EVA, Stearic Acid SA dicampur dengan serbuk SS 17-4PH dalam berbagai komposisi untuk menghasilkan sifat feedstock yang optimal. Komposisi yang digunakan adalah K1 PW 64, HDPE 35, SA 1, K2 PW 30, BW 30, LLDPE 30, EVA 5, SA 5, K3 PW 20, BW 30, LLDPE 30, EVA 15, SA 5, dan K4 PW 20, BW 30, LLDPE 40, EVA 5, SA 5 dengan powderloading 60. Campuran feedstock tersebut diinjeksikan ke dalam mold braket ortodontik, sampel kotak, dan spesimen uji tarik. Kemudian, green parts dilakukan debinding hingga sintering.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komposisi sistem binder K4 memiliki torsi dan viskositas yang optimal, di mana nilai torsi dan viskositasnya menghasilkan green parts dengan kestabilan bentuk yang baik serta minim retak. Sedangkan untuk sintered parts, K2 menghasilkan sifat mekanis yang secara keseluruhan paling baik karena memiliki kekerasan di atas standard ASTM B883 dan penyusutan volumenya tertinggi sehingga densitas relatifnya tertinggi juga. Hal ini dikarenakan K2 memiliki viskositas yang cukup rendah sehingga menunjukkan lebih banyak aktivitas perpindahan selama proses debinding dan menghasilkan persebaran pori-pori yang seragam dan berukuran kecil. Hal tersebut memudahkan proses densifikasi karena membutuhkan energi yang lebih kecil untuk densifikasi saat proses sintering.

The need for orthodontic brackets in Indonesia is very high due to the high prevalence of malocclusion sufferers in Indonesia. In this research, orthodontic bracket is fabricated by Metal Injection Molding method using Stainless Steel 17 4 PH powder and variation of binder system use in its feedstock. The purpose of this study was to develop a local binder system in the mixing process to produce feedstock in the manufacturing of orthodontic brackets. The mixture of Beeswax BW which is a local raw material, Paraffin Wax PW, Low Linear Density Polyethylene LLDPE , Ethylene Vinyl Acetate EVA, Stearic Acid SA is mixed with SS 17 4PH powder in various compositions for produces optimal feedstock properties. The composition used is K1 PW 64, HDPE 35 , SA 1, K2 30 PW, 30 BW, 30 LLDPE, 5 EVA, 5 SA, K3 PW 20, BW 30, LLDPE 30, EVA 15, SA 5, and K4 PW 20, BW 30, LLDPE 40, EVA 5, SA 5 with powderloading 60. The feedstock mixture is injected into the orthodontic bracket mold, box sample, and tensile test specimen. Then, the green parts are done debinding until sintering.
The results of this study indicate that the composition of K4 binder system has optimal torque and viscosity, where the value of torque and viscosity produce green parts with good shape stability and minimal cracking. For the sintered parts, K2 binder system produces the best overall mechanical properties because it has a hardness value above ASTM B883 standard, the highest volume shrinkage so that its relative density is highest as well. This is because K2 binder system has a fairly low viscosity to show more displacement activity during the debinding process and results in a uniform and small pore distribution. This facilitates the densification process because it requires less driving force for densification during the sintering process.

"Modelling wax is an auxiliary material in acrylic denture fabrication. This material should have standard quality. Many local and imported brand of modelling waxes are distributed in Yogyakarta. The aim of this study is to examine the quality of modelling waxes in Yogyakarta based on international standard. Seven brand of modelling waxes (Rusco tropical, Cavec Tropical, Ruby, SMIC, Anchor Brand Medium, Anchor Brand Hard, and Anchar Brand Medium) were examined by ISO 12163 (ANSI/ADA No. 24) specification. The spesification which were examined were general requirements (uniform shapes, free from foreign materials, smooth sheets, uniform texture, cohere if softened, and uniform dimension), special requirements (color, odor & flafour, softening, trimming, and flaming), and preparation for delivery requirements (packaging and marking). The modelling waxes were stated fulfil the requirements if all 5 samples of each brands were suitable with the specification. The results showed that one brand (Cavec Tropical) fulfilled general and special requirements, 1 brand (SMIC) only fulfilled general requirements, and 3 brands (Rusco Tropical, Ruby, and Anchor Brand Hard) only fulfilled general requirements. No brand fulfilled preparation for delivery requirements. The conclusion of this study was no brand of modelling waxes distributed in Yogyakarta fulfilled all requirements."
